I agree with bigmoney. It is NOT the nade power that needs to be fixed it is the inconsistency of explosion hit detection that is god aweful! How can you stand next to an exploding automobile or nade and live one time but die the next? The lag is bad and getting worse. During the beta there was a debate about the shooting after someone died. That disappeared for a while after release. NOW there are times not only are they still shooting BUT they throw a grenade and shoot some more AFTER they have been dead on your screen! I have even seen where someone on our team says so and so is dead but it has not registered. 30 seconds later AFTER the call out and AFTER that dead player kills 2 people he dies from the ORIGINAL CALL OUT!! WTF? Not being able to follow friends or clan members is a JOKE! What made Socom 1 and 2 great were the friends and playing WITH them. Yes some of the issues will be fixed with 1.3 BUT the problem I see is that they took away server side things to handle "the load" that they were NOT prepared for. What about that? Are they upgrading whatever needs to be upgraded in order to have those features AND amount of players? How in God's name can you have an ONLINE ONLY game and NO CONNECTION INDICATOR!!? HOW FUCKING STUPID CAN THEY BE?

We were in a public room with another clan, NOT UF, and everything was cool. We didn't play hard so to speak but were winning then DG came along and the 1st round one of them got up on the mountain behind the garage. We couldn't find him but when we died we figured it out. Needless to say we ran them the rest of the night, I don't think they won a round.

Not that we should have to worry about this within the community BUT.... Glitching Reports Posted by Cindy “Abigale†Bowens Hello, Folks- Many of you have been sending me reports and videos of glitching problems you have found in SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation and I have been passing these on to the team. We have appreciated this and it has been helpful as they work on the fixes. So we have come up with a way for you to get these reports to the team more quickly. SOCOM_Glitch is a profile we have set up in the forums. Please send an IM to this profile with your reports and links to any videos you have on glitches you may find in the game. Then, our team can investigate it and take the appropriate actions. Please note that it would be very helpful if you capture the entire process of how to create or perform the glitch and not just the end results. We need to see the entire process in order to reproduce it and fix it on our end. We would also appreciate it if you would password protect the videos if possible and send the password in the IM. Thanks so much for your contribution to our efforts in making SOCOM: Confrontation the best game it can be!

I have heard these are awesome! I have not tried one personally but everyone that I know that has one or similar love them. http://www.beyond-bedding.com/6inrash.html 45 minute showers? DAM you better get a GF QUICK!!
-
Sounds like a seizure from an ear infection. My son had this happen when he was 18 months and SCARED THE CRAP out of me!! What happens is the ear infection causes a fever and spikes REALLY fast. The body reacts by shutting down and the result is the seizure. My GF's daughter had one that lasted 45 minutes, they sent her by flight for life to Milwaukee. My son's lasted 5 minutes which was long enough for me.

I have a HAVA HD which lets me record in HD, it has component input not HDMI. When I am recording in 720p or 1080i (Socom Only Component), my TV will flicker. This does not happen when I use HDMI so apparently either the TV doesn't like the analog signal or something with the HAVA but it doesn't happen in the recording so I think it is the TV. So I want the HDMI to go to the TV so I can play in 1080 or 720 without the flicker and have the component go to the HAVA to record. Make sense? You know this would have been EASILY solved IF Sony would have had dual video outputs like in the original specs of the PS3!! That would have been SOOOOO SWWEEETTT!!!
-
New WINNER for HOST!! LOL
-
Goat, Can this take my HDMI signal from my PS3, have HDMI out to my TV then RGB out to my HAVA at the same time? Also what is the price range?
-
I too am looking for a new reciever. Something that can have HDMI input AND send HDMI AND Component Output. I have seen one at Crutchfield.com that looks like it does this but I want to make sure first. My TV doesn't like the Component Signal from the PS3 for some reason.

So I have the best connection to host rooms then?? IF Socom is P2P then YES!!!

How can I get a better upload speed? IF I have a lot of wires connected to my router that i necessarily don't use every day does it still feed out of my router? NO. Unless you have a virus or malware. If your PC is connected but not doing anything it won't affect your network. Your PC will not hit the network unless you set something up. Updates, downloads (torrents) or a scehduled task. If you want to see what your PC is doing network wise in Windows open a DOS window. Start -> Run -> type CMD and hit enter. In DOS type NETSTAT and it will show ALL connections that your PC is connected to. If you see something that looks odd you can find out what it is. C:\>netstat Active Connections Proto Local Address Foreign Address State TCP g6h3qb1:1104 cs124.msg.sp1.yahoo.com:5050 ESTABLISHED TCP g6h3qb1:1108 sip38.voice.re2.yahoo.com:https ESTABLISHED TCP g6h3qb1:1120 jabber.800ceoread.com:5222 ESTABLISHED TCP g6h3qb1:1099 localhost:27015 ESTABLISHED TCP g6h3qb1:27015 localhost:1099 ESTABLISHED So you can see that I have Yahoo messenger connected and jabber. I had a lot more BUT you cannot see those numbers. ;D - Work info. Now if you see an IP address that you don't know, it could be a number of things. It could very well be a virus but it could also be one of your apps looking to update. Take that IP address and plug it in to a browser. I use SimpleCenter on my server. When I ran a netstat it showed an IP address of 72.32.7.180. I had no idea what that was so I used the IP address as a web site and it resolved to simplecenter.com. If it doesn't go to a site then my first thought would be that it is a virus. You can google the IP address as well to see if it is a legit domain. A virus OR malware WILL hurt your connection if they somehow have made your PC a proxy. Essentially using YOUR PC as a mail server or even a website! I have had people call me saying their PC is REALLY slow. Someone hacked their machine and setup a Porn site under their noses. They had NO idea! I also had a clan mate get threatened from his ISP for sending out a ton of spam. Well ofcourse it wasn't him it was a neighbor leaching off his wireless and sending it through his internet connection. ALWAYS assume someone is trying to hack your PC or steal your connection!!

Run a speedtest and post it up here if you wouldn't mind. What are you running the speedtest on? Laptop, wireless, wired, PS3? If it is the PS3 it is NOT your connection. The PS3 browser isn't that good and has an issue with the pluggin I believe. There are several other factors that could cause low speeds. Bad modem, virus, malware, torrents and so on. If I can I will help you but I would need a lot of information. One of our guys was having serious issues. He let me log in to his router remotely and found that whoever set his router up set up the WAN port to 10Mbps HALF Duplex. It could be something very simple like that. It should be 100Mbps FULL Duplex which means that it can send and receive at the same time. Half means that one or the other.

You are welcome.

SURE! ~ The bastards (Verizon) who gave me the DSL 'promised' the best of at lest '5-7meg down' and '.7 to 1meg up'! As you can see' date=' they failed me! Why would I 'trust' that their FIOS is going to be any better? They are only pushing the FIOS to get people to acquire the TV service as well. I love my DirecTV, and would only want their FIOS Internet. But if they failed me on the promising speeds of FIOS...then I would probably go to jail....(lol ~ Fool me once...you know 'that' story!) [/quote'] Technically that is not Verizon's fault. DSL quality and speed are strictly determined by linear foot. They may have seen that you were within a certain range BUT you might have been just outside that range in reality. FIOS does not have this issue and honestly you would be MUCH better off with it. There is no degredation with Fiber as there is with DSL. Cable has it BUT it takes a MUCH longer distance then we have to worry about.
-
It does seem that way doesn't it!? I wish they had the latency test implimented or even a connection indicator! How they screwed that up is beyond me.
-
I don't think DSL has high speed compared to cable or fios. You best bet would be for Fios or cable. Any reason on why you don't want to get it? The less you have running at the same time always works. Directly connecting usually gives you a better connection but if you have DSL I don't think it makes a huge difference. Not 100 percent sure on that information but thats my general understanding. Critikil I sent you a PM. Think of it this way. You have a house with 2 baths and a kitchen. A 1/4" runs water to all 3. If you use 2 at a time it can take care of your needs. If you need all 3 on then you might have some issues, lose pressure. So you upgrade the 1/4" to 3/4" now you can have all 3 and maybe add another bath. The internet works pretty much the same way. With my connection I can have quite a few things going on at the same time without affecting my connection. There are several here that have FIOS with 2X or 3X the upload which I would love to have so theirs can handle more. Until /6 or Sony comes out and tells us what kind of setup they are using for most of the online games we are only guessing. BUT if Socom is still P2P we want the people with the most upload to create rooms and stay as the "Host".
-
Download = Data coming to you from the internet Upload = Data going from you to the internet. With todays gaming needs/wants upload is as important as download. In a perfect world we would be symetrical, 15Mbps up and down would be SWEEEET! I wish /6 would come out and say how their setup is, P2P or Client Server. If it is P2P we want the people with the top connections to create the rooms. If it is Client-Server then they have A LOT of work ahead of them to fix these issues.

If Met's plan is 10Mbps up how come he is only getting 4? To me that is an issue. OR he has torrents open or limewire while testing. Speed is nice, latency is a good indicator BUT latency could be affected by the server that you are testing to. If you can run a quality test at dslreports.com in the tools area. You may have to turn your firewall off for a bit but it is only 20 minutes or so at the most so no big deal. I am suppose to get 15Mbps down (which I never see) and 2Mpbs Up which I am always close to. Now this is a server 250 miles away so the latency is REALLY good. I also have a VoIP phone, 5 vpns to my store and a webserver running and this is pretty consistant.

It is DEFINITELY going to be a VERY useful tool! I bowled a bit and shot some pool. It is pretty cool~

Are you sure your system has the correct information with your bday? Just got mine too! ;D

Perfect answer.. but it was Irish that needs the info. lol smart ass... LOL Someone put a model and I gave them an answer.

I rented RFOM 2 and am now considering buying it. The single player is challenging and so far I have only played the COOP which was a blast. As for online I really don't like the idea of monster enemies. I really like military more then sci fi. I REALLY want to try the new NFS!!! I still play Hot Pursuit 2 every now and then, that one was my favorite out of all. Although it should have had Red Barchetta in the sound track!! :'( I thought about COD WAW BUT someone told me it is EXACTLY the same as COD4 but just WWII style. I don't like the party system setup as they had it. No host migration kills it! Mercenaries 2 was fun and took up a lot of time. It is a little cartoony but it served its purpose. MLB the Show I will always keep. Something I will not trade in.

Dimension 4700 4 Slots - Each memory slot can hold DDR2 PC2-5300,DDR2 PC2-4200,DDR2 PC2-6400 with a maximum of 1GB per slot.* Now if you are using XP you can have 4GB but XP will only recognize 3GB, unless you upgrade to 64bit. This is from Crucial and like I said it depends on what you are doing with the PC. "Although the memory can be installed one module at a time, the best performance comes from using matched pairs of modules." From Crucial you can get 2GB for $50 of the 6400, that is 800Mhz and the fastest your motherboard will support.

I think why it got to me, probably you too, was that she was just realizing what she had and that she was turning the corner for her family then bam she is gone! That was messed up but when Clay asked why he didn't get Opie and he responded with I didn't get a clean look if he would have told him the truth that Opie just saved his ASS then all of it wouldn't have happened! Next week looks tight! This should be VERY interesting!

Yes that is what I mean by Dumb Down, if you have 400 and 333 the 400 will dumb down to 333. It ALL depends on what you are doing. If you are using it for office and other applications like that it really doesn't matter. If you are gaming then yes you probably would be better off spending the extra money and getting the most that your motherboard will support. If it supports 400 top then get 1-2GB of 400. If you are only doing simple applications the more RAM the better not the speed so having a stick of 500MB at 333 and 1GB at 400 will still help you a lot. As far as 4 years old it won't matter. It has been able to dumb down for almost 10 years now. In the past you are correct where you HAD TO HAVE matching sticks or it wouldn't work at all but that was 15 years ago. If you want you can put your Dell model here and I am sure someone will help you. Ex. Dimension 5100
