wow....... All this is, is another idiot suing just to sue. Just like the idiot that sued Winnebego (or whoever) for not explaining to him that cruise control is NOT automatic pilot. Here is my concern. BOTH systems allow for horizontal or vertical placement. If you have it vertical and it falls while playing will it scratch your disk? Now obivously 360 will and I am not dumb enough to test it on the PS3. So wouldn't you think that BOTH would have a margin for error if this situation occured? Because you know that some idiot has their console on the floor in the vertical position waiting for a pet or child just waiting to knock it over.

There are a ton of things that could affect your wireless. A chordless phone, Bluetooth headset or controllers. Personally Wired is the way to go. Is the attic above the rooms or basement below? It is pretty easy to run a cable.

I am not worried about my past finding me. Actually I am hoping that some of it does come back. I don't have any fears of a child or anything like that. I am 38 years old, I have moved around A LOT! If I remember correctly, through high school I had been to 12 different schools, 1 for every grade and changed High Schools at the end of my junior year. A little hard because I did have some good friends at my first High School. In all those travels, Libertyville IL (born), Cherry Hill NJ (4 years), Ardmroe PA (2 Years), Sydney Australia (2 years) and all the little places I have met some GREAT friends. Of course over time and moving you lose touch but every once in a while you think back and remember the great times. Well today, browsing Facebook, I came across one of those friends!! I couldn't believe it!! He was not the type of person that you would think would be on the internet let alone Facebook! So I contact him and he instantly replies, I almost cried! I have not laughed so hard in such a long time talking about some of the stuff we did. We had some GREAT times. So my question to you is, is there someone out there that you have not seen or contacted in a while that was very close to you? Someone that you may have breifly looked for but have not heard or seen anything about them in a while? My cousins once said to me "I wish I had your life, travel around the world". I turned around and said "I wish I had yours, all your friends all the way through High School". I guess the grass is always greener on the other side.

I agree with you that the consumer CAN make a difference BUT until we do they will continue these practices. Personally I don't see enough consumers willing to do something about it, they are "happy" with what they got and will continue to purchase blindly and eat the cost.

Sounds like your HDD is about to die. I would not use it for now. Get another (new) HDD, install windows (or whatever OS you use). Pop the old one in as a slave and try and retrieve your data. I wouldn't push it right now.

Lsat XMas I bought a 30GB Zune for the gf for $80. Thing works GREAT she loves it. I have not found one since less then $200. I also got a gaming mouse for $10, normally $49 back then (Razer). Sometimes there are some really good deals. Usually they have 1 product for the day, if it sells out then you have to wait till tomorrow. When they have a Woot Off if the product sells out they go to another.

We bought and unfinished product, correct? Are you going to return the product? If no, what is to stop them from selling you an unfinished product again? You have already shown that you will not return one unfinished product for a full refund what makes them think you will return the next one? That is why most companies offer mail in rebates. They get you to buy their product at full price knowing that a high % of people will not mail in the rebate. So they don't lose. So the ananlogy is that a high % of people will buy the next unfinished game and not return it. It doesn't matter if they return it to the store, you paid full price, the store bought it back from you, the developer still sees 100% sale. I am talking full refund FROM SCEA!

They are counting on us not returning for a full refund, similar to how rebates are used. So they still get their money.

What some of you need to realize is that gas prices are not based soley on supply and demand! Remember ALL oil prices are based on the US dollar. The US Dollar was VERY weak and still is weak but better then it was. Also speculators control that price guessing on demands. I would REALLY like to see a chart to compare actual supply and usage over the past few years. I bet usage has not dropped so significantly to warrant such a price drop. I know that China tries to purchase ANY access oil that we do not import.

You guys are missing my point on the nades, I don't want more power I want consistancy! If they set a blast radious and damage is set to a range that is fine. For example within 5 feet = death. 10 feet half life taken and 15 feet makes you deaf. I don't want a grenade to land on my 3 out of 10 times and not kill me and 2 out of 10 land 20 feet away and kill me. As far as games being released early... Socom listed features, we bought that product based on that list. We were not delivered what the product description delivered. And what can we do, return it? Big deal they still got their money. How are we to know that we bought a finished product now? We don't. So answer this Tow, how many people in this community are going to return Socom? I know if things don't get significantly better after 1.3 I will be calling SCEA for a full refund. I can't speak for anyone else but that is the ONLY way things will change. But unless that happens developers will continue that same pattern. They are counting on people to be to lazy, content or stupid to call and get a refund. You used cereal as an example. Do you realize that most rebates are not actually mailed in? They count on people to see the price $20 or whatever cheaper after mail in rebate but a VERY small % actually mail it in and get the rebate. So they still make their money. Same concept here. They will buy the game, we delay them long enough and they will eat it.

To me that is not acceptable. Then there is no true skill determined, we are back to the randomness of the game to determine who lives and dies. Then what is the point in playing? Your skill threw a nade right on target and got the kill. Or some one else throws a nade 20' from you and kills you just because. Which would you rather have?

But they should be looking at all the returns to gamestop and such of their product and realize their product is crap. There are more used available then new at some locations. I also hope that several people are returning it through SCEA and getting the full refund instead of getting only a portion of their money back. Other developers may not BUT /6 or other Sony 1st parties may. You never know what Sony execs are telling their people. So what happens when MAG drops and there are missing features? Do you think Sony execs are saying "we better get this one right"? No they are thinking here is the date, get it out and fix it later just like Socom. How are they hurt? Unless we the consumer say something now or refuse to purchase another product but that has to be done as a mass. If 20 people don't it won't hurt them. If 20k did they may rethink their model. They have gotten away with it now, what makes us think it will change? That is the precedent.

I understand what you are saying but it really isn't about the money. They set a presedence now that anyone can release a game that is not finished and the consumers are screwed. If you bought GTA4 and got 70% through the single player and a message popped up saying you cannot go any further until we release patch 1.3 how would you feel? The ONLY reason I play right now is when my friends are playing. I know I frustrate them because I say shit when I get pissed so I have even backed off more because this game, as is, is frustrating. I am tired of people having grenades up their ass and living. Then the same person in the same round living through and RPG and vehicle explosion RIGHT next to them. I understand lag is inherent in online games BUT this kind of stuff was NOT suppose to be happening!!

$1 or $100 is all the same to me. Most people work damn hard for what they have and if I choose to spend my hard earned $ on your product, it better be what you promised. Cynical, do you have a job, a mortgage, car payments, bills, kids to provide for, etc.? Just curious. I really like trying to understand where people are coming from. Agreed. I don't just walk down the isle and throw something in the cart not knowing what I am going to get. I was told online that there were several features that peaked my interests, in interviews told that certain things would no longer happen and that this game would be 100% perfect since it was online only. Well there are SEVERAL features listed that are NOT in the game. There are several issues that are on the server side that have yet to be addressed and we are now almost 60 days AFTER release with no end to the madness.
