  1. Well form what I hear, we are not the norm. Currently we are playing in both Crucible and Black. We have had a great showing on both games. During the last couple of tournaments we had people just king of lose interest in Socom. I think that was because that was basically all anyone played. We usually had just enough to fill the roster on war night and that would happen just prior to war time. COD has basically revived the fire to play Socom for a lot of our guys. Every Socom war that has been fought we had a full 16 players in the room practicing a full hour and a half prior to the war, with several other people who signed in, just to find that our room was full. For us, having another game that we play has been beneficial for our team. It gives those who play COD so time away from Socom during the week and keeps Socom fresh now. I will give you the details on how we have made it work. When COD came out yes we then had very little playing Socom. Most had went to COD, yet we felt that abandoning those left behind was not an option. These were in fact our teammates, so we had to try and be as fair as possible with our decisions. You can't hold people back from wanting to play COD nor leave the Socomer's shorthanded so we decided to institute the following. We would play COD and Socom and hopefully we would get chosen to play in both of these tournaments in UF. As luck would have we were chosen. We had made a statement to our clan that if we were going to play in both, that everyone who could, would support both. That this was going to be a test as to what we could do in the future as far as gaming and being as fair and flexible as a clan that we could be. That this would be a benchmark for the future of 101 and as of now we have gotten full participation. we have had a minimum of 14-16 players on each war night helping with prewar. Like I said previously our Socom prewar room are filling up almost 2 hours prior to war with nothing but 101 members which is a big difference than what it had been the last 2 tours in UF.
  2. and that's all I got to say about that.
  3. check your messages.. Just did and I have nothing since Jan 9th.
  4. I need it for Mac Leopard. Anyone know where I can get it.
  5. I have decided I would put my 2 cents in this as well. First I will examine the loop/pattern theory. On Monday night, there were several matches that were won by a, well not to be demeaning to any team here, but by a landslide/ great margin. Under the arguement about a loop/pattern, this would mean the teams who won big, must of known the loop/pattern. Now fast forward to last night. A couple of teams who won big on Monday, didn't fair so well last night. It was the same map so the same loop/pattern, so why were they not as successful? Throw the loop/pattern out of the equation. It just does not exist to a point that it would give any team who spend countless hours playing these modes an advantage. The 30 second delay also negates a quick capture that would help if the loop/pattern theory even existed. It is more about preparation and smart play. Plain and simple. Yes sometimes when one point is captured and the next one shows up, one team may spawn closer, but that to me is not a obstacle you can not overcome with the delay that is in place. Just my 2 cents.
  6. Hey he said he wanted an Evil Psycho Clown and you don't get more psycho than Captain Spaulding.
  7. How about the famous Captain Spaulding
  8. Wow the title is highly misleading here. The writers have yet to settle. The directors guild has reached an agreement in their contract which was to expire later this year on June 30th. It is a move that brings lot of hope in getting the writers to settle. That is it. They have yet to settle the strike for the WGA.
  9. Oh and by the way on your thinking, Peyton would have done it in 15 games as well. He did not throw any the last game of the season, when he only had 2 pass attempts the first series against Denver when all he did was play the first series. Oh and Last week Brady threw 27 times without throwing a touchdown, while playing the whole game, so you see where your logic doesn't work even if we used it?
  10. Wow! Is that how you really think? That because he didn't throw one week, that week doesn't count? LOL....Didn't he play last week. Yes he did so the week counts.
  11. The heck with geese, how bout a turkey hunt. Took this last week. When I can upon them there was also a small buck feeding with them, but by the time I got the camera out, he slipped back into the brush.
  12. You guys have to realize, this is a federal prison, not a state prison. Time off for good behavior and such is a rare breed at the Federal level. If you are sentenced on a stated level, you can expect to see a person serve 40- 60 percent of the time that they were sentence while at the Federal level, it is at the lowest end 70% but most often 80% and above.
  13. This will be my last post here unless I am called out on something that is not true as Junk has. Junk for the record, I never once said anything about you vs. us during POW. I did not even play the last month and a half of POW due to things in my personal life, so I was not around either on the game, meetings or forums during that time.  As a matter of fact, I played vs your clan only once during the UF tourney and it was the middle of the tourney. You want to make this about me, fine. That is your MO. Never wanting to take what people have said to you and think, hey maybe I should take this under advisement. It is always you trying to portray everyone hates you or don't like you. You have taken every bit of advise that has been given you and discarded it as if it were trash. Take this thread and your so called apology thread. It's like you have a split personality. You go one place bash people, clans and this community and when you think oh man, I may have done it this time, you create some PC bullshit post saying how sorry you are and you understand what up, that you finally get it, but you don't. When given a little rope, you hang yourself. Saying that I am always the first to say something or have balls enough to say something. I have made 1 topic addressing you and that was today. Please feel free to search and prove me wrong. I have made a couple of post on others topics concerning situations that involved you or your clan just as numerous others have.  I guess we all set out at the start of POW before any of us knew you or you opened your mouth or made a post, that gave us the insight into the world of King Junk, said hey who are these new guys, we don't like them. Every campaign new teams join and they have great experiences. They fit right into the community because they share the same values, maturity level and the desire to have a community of like minded individuals and clans looking for an respectful gaming experience. So if you think everyone here will believe that all of this is just a figment of my imagination or that it is because I am bitter because we lost some matches to your clan, then you my friend are sadly mistaken, but if that is how you want to view this whole experience we have had with you and your clan, then so be it. Today your post hit me wrong. As you see it did the same with TOW. People have tried to befriend you, tried to get you to understand the ways of UF and it just seems to me and others as well, you will never get it. Here is a quote for you to think about, “Humility is the only certain defense against humiliationâ€
  14. Gloating is not the ONLY issue. That was just the most recent thing that said to me, enough is enough already. It wears on you when a certain individual and or clan continue to rip and disrespect the community you live in. Yes we live here in UF. This is a place unlike all the others. A place that has instituted a high standard that we must adhere to, if you wish to play here. Skipper said that he thinks we may take ourselves to serious here. You know what, we do take it serious here. I am glad that it is taken serious. Let me explain. I was asked at one time to become an Admin at GB. I balked at first because of the way they did things over there. After several individuals came to me stating that things were going to change and that people such as myself were going to make that difference. To make a long story short, I was right in thinking I nor anyone else could make a change. You see at GB it was all about volume. Getting the most people to the site and playing. It was never about quality. Never about fair play and doing what was right. They wanted to do what they could that would least upset the participation level. Cip continually stated it was not about money, they weren't making any and it was just for the players. Well for those who don't know, the founder of GB, sold GB a while back to the people at MLG and went to work for them as vice president of the IT department. This is what sets this community apart from all the others. There are several individual here within the staff, who actually want the experience to be a good one. They want a place where mature people will come to play, have fun and enjoy the ride and you know what, they take that serious. I take it serious that we have adults running a place that is for adults. People who want a good clean game and a good experience. So there you have it. We take it to serious. It that a problem! I don't see a problem at all. I actually see a solution to what is wrong with the alternative of GB/MLG. A site run by kids for kids, who don't care about the users experience as much as they care about advertising dollars and making money. Here at UF we get a great experience and it is wrapped all nice a pretty with all the bells and whistles, by individuals who care about your experience and I applaud their efforts and want to continue to be apart of such a place. I personally don't see how, playing by the rules, respecting your opponents and their community is a hinderance to having fun. It ensures mine.
  15. Congrats SiK and gV. Good luck to both teams and hope it is a close contested match.
  16. The following was posted in the gV vs SiK championship thread. Out of respect for that thread, the 2 teams and what they have accomplished, I did not want to derail that thread so decided to make my comments in it's own separate thread. Are you really that dense or is you just have low self esteem. You just don't get it do you? Every time I come on these forums, all I see is are post by you either crying about respect or bragging about something. I know that each and every time you do this, you not only people from this community come in and say something, but your own clan members will come in and tell you to basically STFU and for everyone to just ignore you. For someone who says they want to be a part of this community as much as you do, you have in my opinion (and I would be willing to bet my house, most individuals here feel the same way) done all that you possibly can to show the rest of the community you do not belong here and that a leopard cannot change it's spots. Some individuals have gone above and beyond to try and get you to realize the err of your ways, however for whatever reason, you are unable to comprehend the mentality of brotherhood here in the UF community. You can say all you want that that comment was tongue in cheek and just playing, however you my friend do not have that luxury of being able to post tongue and cheek comments such as those. Your history here at UF is what takes that luxury away. Week after week it was something new and disturbing with you and week after week the community had to deal with your actions. Yes this community is a forgiving community. Transgressions can be forgiven and forgotten in time and as wounds and words heal, however you seem to be a scab picker. You just can't leave well enough alone. One would think that with all the troubles you have brought onto yourself and your clan, that you would think really hard prior to making a post. That doesn't seem to be the case. The above quote in itself made by any other clans member or leader, that has won a tourney here at UF, would be looked at as a tongue in cheek comment, but as previously stated, due to your history, posts and transgressions, it is looked as another egotistical self promotion on your part. I guess you are not looking forward to participating in another tour here at UF, because if you were, your actions have done nothing to solidify you a spot. As a matter of fact they have done just the opposite. My apologies to Undertow, the UF staff and to the UF community if you feel this is out of line. As I stated earlier, this was something that has ate at me for a while. This community has bent over backwards trying to get Junk to understand the ways of UF and it appears as though he will just never get it.
  17. Sup Kurtz....Long time no see. Glad to see you made it back.

  19. So you like the new game play I introduced to? LOL. It is very intense, chaotic and fun. As far as the clan thing and setting up a match. As it is now, the only way to do it is set to private and I guess the captain/leader/whatever you want to call them for the night, would have to invite all their own player into the game. Kind of a pain in the ass. so I don't know how that would work out.

  21. Here is the part that has me doubting it the most: Q: What's timer and Resistance? A: Timer is basically a respawn, where you set your time limit, and the team with the most number of collective kills, wins. Resistance involves both teams trying to defend their Tribynical Generator (a large glowing generator thingy), and attack the other teams one. The team with the lowest amount of damage on their generators after the time limit, are the winners. Socom has always been based on real life warfare. Now we have a game type called Resistance? Kind of funny don't you think? There is a game out there called Resistance and one of it's game modes is to protect the same type of "large glowing generator thingy". It is a alien futuristic type game.
  22. Yes, good luck to all!
  23. I see we have 2 teams which are currently still in UF4, sign up for UF Black III. Isn't Black for only those who are not in UF4. History has shown that those who are in the big tourney, can not play in Black, So unless I am missing something, we have 2 clans which are still in UF4 POW, who have signed up for Black.
  24. Ditto on what Red said above. You guys are welcome in our rooms anytime. Nothing but respect for you guys.
  25. Sad to see you guys go! You guys are a real class act. Good luck and I am sure we will meet again in the next UF installment.
