Guest umerfonz Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 The Rockies will take a couple of their home games from the D'backs, but won't be able to win in Arizona. D'backs in 6 Quote

DK_MaluNYMets Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 X_VIP3R_X ]MaluNYMets ]Hey Viper man... i def disagree with u... would u rather Zambrano pitch 100 pitches maybe get through 8 innings.. and not be able for a crucial game 5?... and have someone else pitch?.... or have Zambrano come back game 5.... he did put relivers that carried the team in... so it was smart just didnt work out cant blame him for a person doin horrible in the postseason.... Joe Torres fault AROD cant hit in the postseason? I think you're missing my point Mal. I'm not saying Lou's faith in his bullpen was misplaced, or that Zambrano should have pitched beyond the 7th inning. All I'm saying is that he was cruising and had only thrown 85 pitches in a CRUCIAL Game 1 (that's right @ 14 pitches an inning...while during the season CZ's pitch count is usually set @ 115 pitches)...and you gotta win Games 1, 2, or 3 to even get to Game 4, much less Game 5. Is it Pinella's fault because the Cubs are not hitting in the Postseason? No. Is it Pinella's fault becuase Ted Lilly, the most consistant SP in the Cubs rotation gave up 6 Runs on 7 Hits in a little over 3 Innings? No. Is it Joe Torre's fault that A-Rod can't hit in the Postseason? No. But, do I think it was a bad, game changing decision to pull Zambrano in the 6th Inning, in a tie ballgame, on the road (where CZ has excelled 12-4 3.06), in Game 1 of the NDLS? Hell yes. And the D'backs couldn't have been happier to see him go. Great manager...bad decision. Viper i know where u are coming at... but u do kno he pitched 3 days before that start... he usually doesnt do that during the season... Congrats to the Indians, Diamondbacks, Rockies and Redsox.... You deserve And thank you to all those team fans of the Indians and Rockies for cheering your team and helping beat those Sillies and Skankees Quote

DK_MaluNYMets Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 That whole mosquitoes excuse was the lamest excuse for a loss ever...... man and yankee fans wonder why the whole country hates them so much.... Roger Clemens : If i was the umpire i would have stopped the game cuz of the bugs... its hard to pitch for a youngsters in that type of atmosphere.. WHAT IS HE TALKING ABOUT THE INDIANS HAD TO PLAY IN THE SAME ATMOSPHERE... lol It had nothing to do with AROD not hitting and the rest of the team or their pitchers gettin lit up.. IT WAS THE MOSQUITOES THAT MADE THEM LOSE THE SERIES! Quote
STREETSWEEPR1 Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 sox up 1 game to none .....with a 1-0 win in game 1 Quote

Guest [+30]PuddyTat Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 For a more scientific perspective of what the Rockies are doing, we turn to Sean Forman, who has a doctorate in math and runs the statistical website http://www.baseball-reference.com. There are imperfections in doing calculations like this, but assuming the Rockies’ regular season winning percentage, Forman calculates the Rockies with a one in 8,890 chance at winning 19 of 20 games. To give you an idea, the probability of a woman giving birth to triplets is only one in 8,000. ;D ;D ;DGO ROCKIES ;D ;D ;D Quote
Deutscher75 Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Indians won last night by a score of 13-6 with 7 runs in the 11th inning, followed by a triple play to close the game out. Indians play the BoSox IN Cleveland @ Jacob's Field on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday with a return to Boston on Saturday IF the series needs to extend. Let's Go Tribe! Way to Tie the series! D Quote
