Plans to record UF:C2 Championship?

I haven't heard of anything on this yet. Only rumors that it will be. Can someone please fill me in on what the plans are on this?

I never understood why people are so freaked out about this getting taped. Like during gaming champion games, there taped for the world to see. I low people get sketchy over tactics being used but its the clan that actually pulls off the tactic. You could post tactics up but it requires the team to pull them off. But if the masses think it would be bad idea so be it.

Ya know were still just playing a video game. But to each thier own, just my thoughts and the way the spectaor thing works its really hard to figure out exactly what the tactics are..

I wouldn't mind it being taped by a third party, but NOT streamed. That's just asking for trouble.

We can continue this in a private chat or whatever but I am the clan rep / leader for ToP BiLLiN and WE as a clan are NOT in favor of the match being recorded. Now if admin wants to sit in and spectate to insure fair play thats one thing, but being recorded is another.

If LPK would like to record then thats their option and right. But if they do, it will be from their game view. I dont like the idea of recording from the spectating view. It shows everything including where teams are set up and how they work the board. With Riot Act coming up I just dont like the idea of putting my teams strats on 3 maps out there for everybody to see. We have worked hard and spent a lot of hours trying different things and I would like to keep them private.

 

Like I said, I dont have ANY problem with admin coming in to insure fair play (which has NEVER been an issue with iLL). I think as a committed, dedicated, and respected clan in this community I dont beleive Im asking for too much.

I'm going to be in it, but I'd love to see at least a highlight reel. I completely understand wiz, but I respectfully disagree. These tournaments do get super competitive, but in the end it's all for fun. I'd like to see at least a highlight reel because I feel it works both ways. People will get to see something, but at the same time a whole lot of strategy isn't given away. But that's just my 2 cents. Take it or leave it...

Could you be any bigger of a dick? I told you through AIM that this was important to me and thats all that should matter. Film the highlights of your 6 on 6 Xbox matches and put em up. To me its simple, you ask the clan rep from LPK and the clan rep from iLL. If both agree, then have at it. If not, then it isnt "filmed" and you move on.

But if we had talked outside of this forum and you knew this was a sincere concern of mine I think knowing our outside of UF relationship that youd be decent enough to stay out of the thread. Its more on a personal level with you and I due to being cool as hell in the past and it sets wrong that you would jump in this thread AFTER we talked about it.

I'm not sure what is going on with this. The last I knew, Dv8 News was given the go ahead to do in game filming if we were not part of the championship, and we're not.

As for posting strategies, I'm not sure how in depth you've seen in game footage but I doubt very seriously with all the camera changes that anyone will be able to make out your strategies.

The last point that I'd like to make. These games are for fun...for us all to enjoy and have a good time. People want to see this match and I would think that you guys would be flattered that anyone would care to watch it.

 

The footage that we would take would ultimately be edited...and while filming, I doubt we're going to have enough time between making sure we have a good clear shot and making sure we're filming actual action to really study what strategies each team is using.

 

So unless something shady is going on...I really don't see what all the fuss is about and why no one has bothered to talk about what would be shown instead of immediately moving toward the negative of filming the game.

 

 

Let me add one more thing...I think, so far, Dv8 News has shown themselves to be very respectful to all the clans, and we would never jeopordize or compromise another clan and their strategies.

I think it would be an absolute shame for this opportunity for all of us (Dv8 News, Urgent Fury, and both clans) to miss out on.

So, by not wanting this filmed Im hiding something. I have nothing to prove to anybody and EVERY clan that has played us will same the same. We have ALWAYS competed fairly and more important, honestly. I have supported this website and the last 2 Crucibles with a dependable and cheat-free clan and don't understand why my choice can't be respected.
