Socom in HOME

Saw this over at PSU. I think we will get what I was talking about. ssSSSwwweeettttt!

 

Well I think most people figured that SOCOM would find its way into Home at some point. That assumption is correct as the first glimpses of the SOCOM Home space have seen the light of day. There isn't really any other info on it yet, but figured I'd share it with you anyway.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I assume it might have some similar features to the Warhawk room that is being planned.

 

 

 

 

 

"The Home lobby for the Incognito dogfighter will serve as a "war room" where players can meet to discuss their strategy for an upcoming match.

 

Using a three-dimensional "sand table" replication of the level, Warhawk players are said to be able to lay out their strategies in a properly scaled space. They'll even be able to place little army men avatars around the map to envision their formations, etc. The Warhawk war room is said to also serve as a launchpad for games, so jumping into a match shouldn't require leaving the Home interface (lets hope)."

 

 

If they do this right, it will be really cool!

you guys aren't grasping the potential here. for clans this is going to be huge! Your clan can have its own section to talk about up coming wars and other shit. If you've filmed one of your previous wars you all can sit together, and hold each others hands, and watch it together.

 

This part seems useful but the other junk looks silly.

I agree with the other shit although, it would be nice to bowl a few lanes and chat with friends in your clan... or as an artist I do a lot of photoshop shit and short films. I would be cool to upload my art work and movies to show friends. I think there are uses... it's just how you look at it.

Well my clan is full of old guys and gals- We can do all that shit in our forum or on our website...

 

This is what I can do on my forum and current tools that are FREE:

-set up strategy via white board

-plan strategy and walk maps

-use our fourms to post vids and white board, set up schedules, personal sigs, etc

-use our web site to give special rank and awards THAT MEAN SOMETHING TO THE CLAN

-I currently have 4 ways of using voice chat that costs me nothing: psn network, in game, xfire or phone.

 

So for me and my team- We are too old to give a shit about "getting the clan together for a sleep over and watching a movie" lol

 

But to each his own- Like I said if I was a kid (that was board or lived in alaska in the winter) this would be great.

LMAO! HOME is free dude. And its much cooler then "forums" or "chat" via skype. LOL! I would expect that you being a gamer would and could appreciate a 3d world environment. I am clueless to the hating on HOME? LOL

i value this opinion personally. but i feel the need to ask this, if found that these methods on home are proved more useful than traditional methods would you consider switching?

Potentially- There is usefulness and then there is ease of use/ controll and reliability. If my team did not have computers or it cost us money to do what we do now- It may be an option. It just does not look like a viable one at this point in time.

 

If I remember right "Home" was big talk last xmas time too wasnt it? Ahh the wonders of media marketing. I just want games to work online correctly and consistently.
