I have a five year old who wishes I would let him play. He tries to pick up the controller when one of us sets it down. BUT, I am with King and Street on this one ... he is way too young to play ANY videogames. He needs to be outside running around, climbing trees, riding his bike or playing with his action figures and toys ... be a kid. There will be plenty of time for video games when he's 12, 13, or so.

cBF, sorry to see you guys go!

WDA ... too bad we didn't get to war you guys. Feel free to help us practice anytime! Lord knows we could use it. I'm sure we'll be sharing the bench with y'all soon!

We had the pleasure of playing TDH twice. You guys are a great clan and good people and we are glad that we met you all. We will definitely be hanging out and helping each other practice (as Tip-Toe requested).

That's a good idea Rock! If someone is saying good luck and the countdown starts and then the other clan takes a 1-0 lead .... LAME!

... Desktop Publishing for a non-profit that produces teaching a preaching materials for preachers and teachers all over the world. Some of the languages that we print in are English, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, French, Chinese, and six Indian languages. I work with our Indian languages, formatting books in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Punjabi, and Hindi. We have three translation centers in India that translate our English material into one of the six languages. They then send it to me to be made into a book. When I'm all done, I send it back to the translation center where it is printed and distributed. And then preachers/teachers use these books to teach people about the word of God. Pretty cool!

Our guys get all worked up too ... myself included. That's why I call Socom my dirty little secret. :-[ It's my little addiction that I try not to tell too many people about because those who don't play just don't get it!

Cheap tactic or smart strategy? You be the judge......

Quite honestly, not ANY different than the docks map ... what's it called?, where you can get the bomb, jump in the water and hide so you can't be killed. This was discussed in another thread somewhere and I even think that this map was supposed to be left out because of this, but inadvertently was not. People were saying that was unfair. Same thing, different map, different use ... in my opinion. Don't see harm in either, though. Gotta do what you gotta do sometimes as long as it's not a glitch and you aren't soft-spotting/cheating, etc. -
Speaking of ... new one up it looks like!

I hear ya, Havoc. All is good. And I agree, some of the questions have been a little, well ... hmmm, how do I say ... well, silly? Anyways, on the bright side ... guess we know who we can take advantage of! ;D

I have to agree with that 100% this tourney is going to make some clans HATE each other its just the nature of the beast, if you thought UFB2 was something...you ain't seen nothing yet. This thing is very fun, but extremely competitive and intense. I have seen this tournament destroy clans, where they disband before the tourney even ends because of it. So hippie don't be disappointed about us not being supportive, and helping our fellow gamer, I think we are just preparing for what lies ahead, and getting our skin toughened up. Because we have seen it in the past, and YOU will see it in the future, so be prepared sunshine...I guarantee you will be cussing out one of these clans or a clan members before this tourney ends, I don't care how High you are it going to happen. P.s. I also agree 100% Red is friendly and a dickhead at the same time. My point is, the "Rules" or "Guidelines" of Urgent Fury tournaments and forum community, state: "To be accepted into UF we evaluate clans based on several factors but most importantly on maturity and respect for one another whether on the battlefield or off. ... Our goal here is to create a community of clans that can play in a cheat/glitch free environment with upstanding clans that maintain a high level of respect and maturity. ... Gaining entry into Urgent Fury is a priveledge, not a right. If your clan is accepted then we gladly welcome you into our "home" as our guest but we expect you to respect the rules of the tournament and your fellow opponents at all times during your stay." (From About section, Tips on Gaining Entry into Urgent Fury). And the exact opposite of that is what happened here. Guess the problem here is that I am a bit of an idealist and in a perfect world, we could all respectfully answer questions (or not if we can't follow the rules) and then take out our frustrations on the people with the "dumb questions" on the battlefield. Oh well, all I can do is try! (And again, I'm not trying to start anything with anyone or take sides here, I am just shocked quite honestly and expected more. Shame, shame ... lol!) Final thought: "Bending" the rules in the name of "competitive nature" ... makes me worry.

Thanks Felmnar! Compliments of Undertow!

Answer from Undertow himself (posted in the Clan Rep area): If you take a PoW city and SWEEP the defender in doing so, you take their PoW city AND now have a PoW camp to place PoWs you will take from them on THAT war.

Come on guys. I thought UF was supposed to be a place where clans respected each other. When reading the rules for the first time, they are difficult to understand, especially when it is your very first UF tour of duty. This tournament is different that anything else out there and so us newbies have no experience from which to draw. If you can't be supportive and helpful, then leave it to someone else to help those who are asking questions. BTW, I am not "taking sides" here, I just am disappointed to see this kind of behavior in an arena where I expected more. Skipper, the rule which you are quoting is concerning your territory, not PoW's. Successful defenses gain no territory and unsuccessful attacks lose no territory. The rules for PoW's still stand and PoW's can be gained and lost per the rules. For instance, your clan owns Sinner's Swamp. If my clan attacks it and we lose, you retain your territory (Successful defenses gain nothing) plus you take your PoW's because it's a HQ city. If the score is a sweep, you take an additional PoW. This is how I understand the rules.

What do you mean? I don't get it. What am I missing?
-
OMG, now I'm getting confused! Somebody mentioned changing their tactics .... what tactics? LOL. We choose heliport because we could attack any PoW camp. Our thinking is that we would have more attack options. We'll see, how well it works out.

Maybe I'm not as attentive as everyone else, but I have NEVER seen something like that before! How do you guys find this stuff? Now I know what it means when people are saying that someone shot them through a wall or rock. This happened to us just last night playing in a war and we thought the game was just real laggy. I guess the clan we were playing knew these spots. GREAT ... something else to worry about when warring! Ignorance WAS bliss.
