Looks good, but it looks like it could use a bit of touch up on the left side just to make it flow a little more this is just my opinion tho...

If your removing a circle object try using the pen tool or I you could use the blur tool.

This is what I came up with Irsh wasent to sure on the Guinness hes holding, but seems good to me. Any ways use if you would like bro.

I always go with .png for my sigs. The only reason I use .gif is if I'm creating something thats animated. -
I wouldn't say that bro same deal with maybe a couple different images plus the added Skull & Bones bar and just a different ease and out effect.

Photoshop was my choice when I started graphic design also self taught. After looking at some tuts and getting familiar with photoshops tools its really not to hard to pick up on. Iv used most of them and sometimes I switch back and forth, but to start out photoshop would be my choice.
