Bandit I do have a question in regards to your post. How are we as Clan Reps suppose to know a topic is debatable when a Director posts "Ruling Finalized"? To me the word "finalized" means there is no room for discussion end of story. Now I know there were some mistakes made by ALL parties involved, and this could have been one of them but I'm just looking for some clarity on this.

Good Luck with your new clan.

The community doesn't have to give them options, the Rules give them the options. Follow them or not to follow them. Those are a clans options in this community Sent from my Blackberry while taking a shit

Are you that naive Carnage to think they stepped down on their own accord?
-
Caracarn out of curiosity, did you come up with this idea or was it an ultimatum from UF?

Ruling on A Formal Complaint and Breaking of the Rules
mikejaxon replied to John's topic in General Discussion
The part you quoted about playing on a different team for a different game is UF exclusive, the rule that Bandit posted deals with clans taking players from outside the realm of UF that are in other clans. And we didn't withdraw from UF, we simply withdrew from a tournament. -
Ruling on A Formal Complaint and Breaking of the Rules

Do you guys even remember why rule is in place. I've heard two staff members now refer to other UF clans. It wasn't created for UF clans to rent players from another UF clan. It was created for UF clans adding people to their roster for a tournament that are in another clan outside of UF that are on another roster on a tournament site. Basically renting players to benefit their roster. -

Shane really, what Valur is doing is clearly ok cited in YOUR rules as explained here This rule is in effect for any and all games and tournaments here at UF, except where there are specific rules that allow for it, such as in Horseman, where we allow you to comprise teams with players from different clans or in the event we have any tournament where the rules specifically express that this is allowed. This also does not include players who play on dubs or quads here or any other site. This rule is for clan events only. But oh wait nothing in that rule, http://www.urgentfury.com/showthread.php/69826- , pertains to any of the events that have happened here so it must be a figment of my imagination. -

Wolf-Dog the UF Gunners and Clans is an address to the community not who it limits to adding to the roster. This is clearly stated here: "If a team knowingly puts a player on their roster and it is proven that they know is on another Socom clans roster anywhere" The term anywhere clearly sums that up. -
Ruling on A Formal Complaint and Breaking of the Rules

We play here because it is an Honorable environment, that has rules just like any competitive atmosphere. Rules that are in place for a reason. It is the guideline for what UF defines and expects from the clans that participate here. When rules are broken we expect the staff to follow them, now what they see fit at the moment. The rules are clearly outlined in black and white. No one is trying to oust a clan from our holy community, but according to the rule set they just couldn't compete for a year. -

Nor do you have to, when YOUR rules don't define that. http://www.urgentfury.com/showthread.php/69826-***Roster-Ruling***ALL-GAMES-AT-UF***?highlight=ringer SolidSlug even said it in his second email, "So this would not be the same as merging our clans, but it would be a good test if our clans could ever merge, or we could repeat such tactical partnerships in the future, on a per game basis, when both of our best interests are met." How blind can you be, seriously? -

Hush apology accepted. The only comments my guys said to one member of the AieL via psn or skype or text were "good game" and "good game buddy" from one ex clan member to another. -
It is with regret but The Uprising withdraws from the In Country tournament. We will not participate alongside another clan that has clearly broken a UF rule, and by the directors ruling allowed to continue to participate. The motto "Win with Honor, Lose with Dignity" I guess is no longer applied to all clans, only the ones the directors see fit. We know how to win honorably and have done so plenty of times. We will not support the directors decision to not uphold it's own rule set and deem this type of tactic to gain an unfair advantage acceptable. Good luck to the rest of the clans involved in the tournament.

We do have a small roster on GB not much activity, but it is under our name and our clan tag. We are allowed to play on other sites, I dont remember it saying we cant compete anywhere else. -

We did, and what promoted it was one of my guys recognizing one of the added players names from GB and knowing he was in another clan. -

Here now you have everything that is relevant. If you can not see the pictures right click, then on image info copy the link and put it in the browser to see the larger version of the image provided. It was brought to my attention by one of my members that a clan involved in this tournament has "rented players" on their roster. The Aiel Sept added players blitz_ace, Brush, illmatic and Reider_ on the last roster update, these players are all members of a clan [NNN] No Name Needed. These players are not just some gb squad guys. They have over 60 members in their clan, they have their own forums and code of conduct located here: http://clan-nnn.com/forums/ . As you can see from the screen shots posted below these four members are active on their forums. As you can tell all these members are associated with positions as members, PS3 Roster and King Blitz which im guessing makes him Leader. After some further investigating these 4 members posted their introductions on the AieL Sept Forums. Clearly stating that they are here to help with UF as provided by the pictures below: Especially ilimatic that clearly states "I have come to help out on the UF roster by a recommendation by my clan leader" All of these members have Player Card emblems on their profiles depicting N3 which is showing their devotion to their real clan over the clan that they just put AieL tags on for wars. Two of the four actually went to the website and applied for the clan, the other two did not put any apps in and were granted instant access into the clan. One app was the day of the roster updates the other was the day after the roster updates. Clearly having this player on the roster then he applies the day after. The UF rule that I am referring to can be found here: http://www.urgentfury.com/showthread.php/69826-***Roster-Ruling***ALL-GAMES-AT-UF***?highlight=ringer And I will quote: Now before it is questioned that they play dubs or quads over at GB they do not. They have a good sized roster of 17 members on GB alone as provided in the pic below: With the above being said, I would expect UF to follow its own rule set in this instance. I have been a part of UF for some time now. One of the biggest reasons we enjoy gaming here is because of the rules and clans that are involved in this community. This community was built on clans/teams that are filled with members that were built on camaraderie and friendships. Renting members for tournaments is not what this community was built on. Allowing this type of behavior will set a precedent from this day forward. This is a precedent that I do not support nor will be a part of, as it was not what this community was built on and I'm sure there are plenty of other clan reps and leaders that feel the same way. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Basically what this ruling now does is allow clans to "stack" their roster for any UF tournament and it's ok if we call it a "merger". The rules were clear and cut now they are deviated from. -
