    We had a game swap thread on the APC site. Basically, we posted up what games we had and we willing to part with, and then traded them. A straight trade worked, but exchange for money ALWAYS brings problems. One guy felt that the other guy tricked him, the game was damaged, etc. etc. I do not represent UF in ANY capacity, but this is something I think leaves too much room for error in a community this large. It should stick to clan sites IMO. Example: I have a game for sale. I offer it up, and Bandit purchases it via Paypal. Now before I go to ship it, I get a message from Tow stating he found out I had sex with his cat last time I visited, and am no longer welcome at RVN or UF. Does Bandit get his game? Maybe, maybe not. I may be pissed cause Bandit is a UF mod, and take it out on him. Sure, Paypal has it's own fraud protection, but why risk it? Again, JMO.

    Tow took a couple pictures of McCain/Palin bashin. That in no way means that there were more 'hate' filled messages present than American flags. If you would have tuned into CNN (who covered it well) you would have seen an American flag in almost every hand at the rally. I could comment on how 'white' America booed everytime Obama's name was brought up during McCain's speech, or the lack of a single person of COLOR at his rally, but why? I know the people there firmly believed McCain was the right man for the job. All 1800 at his rally were disheartened that he lost. They're supposed to be. Bottom line is, The people have spoken. And for once in my generation we came together in droves and kept the business as usual guy out of office. Does this mean that Obama is the Messiah? No. It just means we as a country are sick and tired of doing our part, only to be let down by our leaders. We have spoken, and now it's Obama's turn to deliver on his promises. We have INSTANT collateral throughout the world with this election. Out of 22 countries polled as to who they HOPE the next American president would be, all 22 said Obama. The world needed us to show them that we were on our way back. We needed to show the world that we can keep from repeating mistakes made in the past. He has a tough road ahead, and if done properly, he could take us into a better era for our children. I don't care about right now. I got four children that deserve a better way of life. I don't want them to inherit our selfishness and give-it-to-me-now attitude. That's the promise I saw, and that is the most important IMO.

    No. The target spotting is an engaged enemy within your area. They show as a red dot on your compass.

    I doubt highly that a clan could survive a checks and balance system that we employ as the USA. A leader is needed to take the clan in a specific direction. Without specific direction, the majority of clans would falter. Only a select few should actually know what is going on IMO. Most people do not join a gaming clan to deal with the extra bullshit that having a group of 30+ people together ultimately brings. Never could you sustain a voted leader. Think about it. A guy may be popular inside his clan for his charisma, ease to talk to, or the fact he is funny. Are these traits that make a good leader? Not necessarily. He may have issue with making hard choices, or being too lenient towards people, or just not have it in him to make the call when an 'infection' has made it's way into the clan. Every clan has at one point or another suffered from a 'cancerous' gunner. It takes ONE ultimate leader to shoulder that burden. He of course should ALWAYS consult his trusted advisers, as they are there for that purpose, but the decision needs to ultimately lie with the clan leader. To question a simple structure like a gaming clan, is to fail as a clan. It basically eliminates the one thing we all enjoy the most. A military-type atmosphere that leads to success. One clan can beat another for any number of reasons, but the steadiest of clans are the ones that can withstand the test of time, and keep a structure that everyone is already familiar with. Hell, you were RAISED in a dictatorship as a child. Mom & dad (or any variation) didnt ASK you what you wanted, they told you how it was going to go, and that was that. Most of us logged into a specific game, whether that be Socom, CoD, Warhawk, etc. and played. We HATED the fact that comm within the game sucked, because you didnt have a regular group to field. Pretty soon, you noticed that you ALWAYS lost to the guys that all came in wearing the same tags, and you realized that in order to get what you WANTED from the game, you needed to find a clan. Some started their own, but most of us joined what we thought was our best chance for success.
