    economy?

First, Obama is not the most liberal senator. He ranks about 16th. And you say it as "liberal" is a bad thing... like "conservative" is a bad thing. You ever notice the other side never says "he's the most conservative senator!" like it's a disease? Being liberal is NOT bad. It's different. You all said the same thing about Kerry in 2004. It's a silly statement and only means something to your base. But going beyond that... I think you look at things in a very negative light. Yes, Government has taken over some stuff and made things bad in those take overs. Does that mean we just give up? No. Does that mean america can't do things efficiently? No. You look at other countries and they do some of the same things efficiently and comprehensively no problem. Canada, Europe and other places have no problem with health care. I just don't see that as a total "socialist agenda"... more of a progressive approach. Change never comes easy, but it usually makes life better. We're a great country and have done many awesome things. If we can get a man on the moon, be the leader in co2 reductions, win two WW... I think can tackle a simple thing like health care or our economy. OH and taxes... I believe in taxing those making over 250k a year. You can afford it if you're in the tax bracket and should stop whining. This was the reason Clinton had us in such great shape after his admin. Surplus, balanced budget... ect. It's proven to work. I know when I get there, which will hopefully be soon. I will welcome paying more taxes!
  3. Once again that victim role is not befitting you. I have kept up with you in these threads with my own "sources" and proof. Don't try and paint it like you are the only reputable poster there. Most stuff I post that refutes, you make no comment on. I said nothing derogatory about our troops. You, just like most news pundits, want to take my statement out of context. How about posting the whole post instead the part you want to exploit as me saying our troops don't matter? I'm not mad, more amused by your tactics. Very typical. What's your name over a politico btw?
  4. Also, if that's the case why aren't we removing other dictators? Like in Dafur, where much more horrendous genocide is taking place.
  5. First of all you explain to me how I'm dissin or saying anything bad whatsoever about our military. Explain that to me before I go off half cocked please. I've never said anywhere in this forum that I don't care about our military men and women. If you're talking about the exploited military stories John McCain keeps bringing up, then yes. I stand by my statements there. That has nothing to do with what's going on right now here in America. It's a cheap shot to exploit the service of a man who has died for McCain's political gain. Plain and simple. That has no place in politics. You can call that blog whatever you want Hog, I've seen the same reported on Faux, CNN and MSNBC. So are they all leftist? Even Faux?
  6. LOL, Of course we knew that he had WMDs. WE SOLD THEM TO HIM!!!! And then looked the other way and gave Sadam a wink, wink when he used them to gas his own ppl. You remember that? LOL What they LIED about is WMDs of the nature they were talking about. The smoking gun in the form of a mushroom cloud over NYC. He had no nuclear weapons. That was garbage and lies. Propaganda to lie us into an unjust action of war. THAT'S what we were duped on. Even Collin Powell said sanctions were working with Sadam. He was in a box. Contained. There was no reason to do what we did. Period. Good story though. I believed in the Desert Storm action. It was just what we did there.

    economy?

As I get older I find myself thinking more and more about the possibility of running for a political office. Starting local first of course. But then, I have a lot skeletons. I did inhale and enjoyed it. I've made my fair share of bad decisions too. And then there's that money thing. I don't have enough of that to run anyway. ;D On a serious note though, you never know when it may happen. I found myself believing in the possibility when I watched Man of the Year. I hear you... my 17 year old son ask me this weekend why I don't run for some sort of office. LOL I have a pretty colorful past to say the least. Red, you gotta stop with the whole "socialist agenda" stuff man. He's NOT about that. I have no idea where you get that. If you read his blueprint on his web site you can clearly see he's not about that. You are using the red herring argument. It's just silly. I know you are smarter then that.

    economy?

It's nice to agree. Yeah, this was not a great bill by any means... but still things are getting pretty scary and I think they should have just said, "F" it... lets get this done. Both sides are not handling it well. It's a shame.

    economy?

Actually 2/3 of the dems showed up to vote on this. Pelosi was promised the same by the repubs. Not even 1/3 voted for it. It's a shame they aren't taking up Johnny's campaign slogan, "country first".. and playing politics with this. Pelosi was an idiot as usual for making that speech, but it should not have effected the vote. They all need to get this shit done!
  10. Yeah Goat... for real. I know I can come across strong, (asshole)... LOL But the bottom line is I enjoy talking about this stuff. I know for a real I could sit with Red or Hog and have a beer with them and shoot the shit in real life and be ok with everything. If you look at my politico profile I have many repubs, conservatives, dems, indies, liberals... etc. I think that say a lot about a person. I like the way your ticket is looking, although I think Janis Joplin would make a better secretary of state. ;D
  11. This is the problem I see too much of. You are willing to support and let another scum bag like Stevens ride when if you look at the evidence even just NOW as it's presented, he's guilty as shit. You want to let high priced attorney's spin this and get him off. I say dump him... dump all these scum bags! And that's including the Dems also. All of them! Jefferson, Foley, Craig, Renzi, Vitter... I mean the list is ridiculous. I'm all for innocent until proven guilty. But most of these scum bags have been found guilty and we let them stay in office and then have the gull to pay for the retirement of like 2ooK a year for life!!!!!! It's a broken system and we need to keep draining the swamp and NOT defend these dirt bags! And I replied over there in the other also. I knew you wouldn't address her falling numbers and just deflect and discredit the site.
  12. I wouldn't expect any less response from you Hog. So a left leaning blog, which you have not proven it to be, holds no truth in those polls. I heard the same poll quotes on msnbc, cnn and even faux. Oh course you won't talk about why she is falling in the polls, but only say "those are leftist" blogs. LMAO! The point is he keeps lying about his prefect voting record. He doesn't. Those organizations have said it. He just keeps lying. Point blank lying.
  13. IF a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his ass when he jumped. Just in case you missed this in the other thread Hog... Poll: Palin's Approval Rating Drops in Alaska by RandyMI, Wed Sep 24, 2008 at 04:00:53 AM EST The more people learn about Sarah Palin, the less they like her. That has certainly been true on the national, and, according to a new Ivan Moore Reasearch poll, the same is happening in Alaska as well. In a new survey conducted September 20-22, Ivan Moore Research finds Sarah Palin's positive-negative rating in Alaska taking a real hit, for the first time since Palin was elected in November 2006. The survey was conducted with 500 likely voters in the State of Alaska, for a margin of error of 4.4%. The track of the last five Palin ratings is as follows, along with a comparison point from January 2008: SURVEY Rating -- January 2008 --------------------------- 82-11 July 18-22, 2008 ----------------------- 76-18 July 30-31, 2008 ----------------------- 78-15 August 9-12, 2008 ---------------------- 80-13 August 30-September 2, 2008 ------------ 82-13 September 20-22, 2008 ---------------68-27 The mid-July poll was fielded just after the Trooper Wooten controversy broke. The positive rating of 76% was down from previous measures in the 80's. Despite negative press from the Troopergate issue, the subsequent three polls through the end of September showed Palin's positive rating steadily increasing, and her negative steadily dropping. But in the last three weeks, we've seen damage, with a swing of 14 points from her positive to her negative. There is no disputing that 68% is still high, of course there is also no indication that her slide is over yet. I have been reading that part of her high approval rating was due to $100+/barrel oil and the generous $1200 checks that went out to residents. Hell, if she gave me $1200 even I would smile. Another factor, I believe, is that the national spotlight is much more likely expose your shortcomings than an easily managed state press corps. Again, her numbers are still high, but let' see if she has stopped the slide. http://www.mydd.com/story/2008/9/24/4053/69996 Guess that frogs asses ain't hitting the ground no more. LOL I found it buddy. It's not 80% anymore my good conservative friend. It's 68%... which still is high as the article says. You better hope she hits is out of the park this Thursday though, or she's toast. ;D
  14. Haha! Great point Hippie Chick! 15. I agree. I don't see any difference on that FF. I thought they would at least do what they did on Xroads and expand on it a bit. Even just a little for bigger rooms. That's just another oil platform in the distance on fire. I don't think it has any significance to the map. On a positive note, it does look sweet, Especially at night. For the love of god they better bring back mines by game drop date or I'm going to be one pissed off little piggy! >
  16. I personally have been saying for a while now, until the start charging a monthly fee for Socom we will never say, no lag, glitching and constant updates. I would be willing to pay $10 a month for that. That's for the current game also! I'm very leery right now about spending $60 on this game as is. They better get the game right on release time! I can't comment really on this MMO... can't comprehend yet what it would look like. I'm open to it though.
  17. That's awesome... I didn't even realize that there were that many dances.

    economy?

How do you figure Friday? This has been the policy of the current admin along with Johnny and look where we are. That tickle down effect is an urban myth! LOL Never happened and never will.
  19. Yeah, it's fact man. Obama called him on it and now they want to spin it. LOL No matter what they TRY and say... Kissinger said it. Hog, no I"m not kidding you. Everyone except John McCain understands they have already reached a deal. And NOTHING that either candidate has done helped that along. I'm ver sure the McCain camp will try and say Johnny swooped in to save the day somehow... but again the american ppl are smarter then that. This stunt by someone who admittedly doesn't understand the economy is so silly I'm comfortable with as you say, "Yep, let's allow people to make up their own minds." What say you about the drop in the polls for you ticket?
  20. injecting himself into the process is doing nothing for the plan already laid out and ready to be passed. It's nothing but a gimmick to try and look in charge. Both of them need to butt out and go about their campaigns. its more of a distraction them being there. Latest Polls: National Gallup Tracking Obama 49, McCain 44 Obama +5 National Rasmussen Tracking Obama 50, McCain 44 Obama +6 National Hotline/FD Tracking Obama 48, McCain 43 Obama +5 UF (S!K)STREETSWEEP Obama 50, McCain 38 Obama +12 Yep, let's allow people to make up their own minds.
  21. Np King. Hog you call it what you want. I'll stick to your sang and let ppl make their own decisions. It's clear that he was spot on IMO. You want to parse words now. And please dude you want to call out Nazi crap!?! Haha... With this Administration and how close they have been to Nazi behavior for the past eight years! You really want to go there? To me, when you start making those accusations... you have no more left to say. You can go ahead and keep posting insignificant diversionary articles all you want. Bottom line is the pundits said last nights debate to be even... but the american ppl gave it to Obama, http://www.editorandpublisher.com/eandp/columns/pressingissues_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003855844 Because he talks about relevant stuff that matters to the american ppl. McCain has nothing but gimmicks and diversions. I can't wait till Nov. I'm planning my trip to washington in Jan. to watch our first black american POTUS be sworn in.
  22. I'm still searching for the poll they were talking about last night that showed her actually down 14 points from a couple of weeks ago. I'll post if I find it. Here is what I think they are talking about. After her two disastrous interviews... Sept. 11: +17 net positive Sept. 12: +14 Sept. 13: +9 Sept. 14: +5 Sept. 15 (today): +4 Now everyone is beginning to see her for what she is. On the bracelet point... I think it was really sleazy that John McCain brought it out. Remember, he was the sleazy one that brought his out. Why does he wear his? Oh, I know so he can exploit the soldier for his political gain. Wow... and you say Obama is sleazy? Ha! I just love that he countered him. Freaking hilarious! So lets take some facts on about last nights debate.... Obama: Senator McCain mentioned Henry Kissinger, who's one of his advisers, who, along with five recent secretaries of state, just said that we should meet with Iran – guess what – without precondition. This is one of your own advisers. McCain rejected Obama's claim: McCain: By the way, my friend, Dr. Kissinger, who's been my friend for 35 years, would be interested to hear this conversation and Senator Obama's depiction of his -- of his positions on the issue. I've known him for 35 years. Obama: We will take a look. McCain: And I guarantee you he would not -- he would not say that presidential top level. Obama: Nobody's talking about that. So who's right? Kissinger did in fact say a few days earlier at a forum of former secretaries of state that he favors very high-level talks with Iran – without conditions: Kissinger Sept. 20: Well, I am in favor of negotiating with Iran. And one utility of negotiation is to put before Iran our vision of a Middle East, of a stable Middle East, and our notion on nuclear proliferation at a high enough level so that they have to study it. And, therefore, I actually have preferred doing it at the secretary of state level so that we -- we know we're dealing with authentic... CNN's Frank Sesno: Put at a very high level right out of the box? Kissinger: Initially, yes.But I do not believe that we can make conditions for the opening of negotiations. There are more gems here... http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/factchecking_debate_no_1.html OH and just a reminder... Obama is still leading in this poll! hehe
  23. Hog, after that... maybe you can explain why her poll numbers in her own state have dropped by 18 points in the last week? LMAO! Everyone is getting to know her now and KNow that she isn't fit to be an intern at the white house! She better do Fan, fuckin Tastic in the VP debate or many think she will be booted from the ticket. Which would be another great thing for Johnny. More diversions from his record and what he stands for. As for the BRACELET BULL SHIT... if I have to see one more stupid, idiotic emotional moment from Johnny Mac, I think I'll scream! I don't give a shit about who talked to him, who gave him a bracelet, who told him a story about their son or daughter!!!!!!! It has NOTHING to do with what's going on now. HE IS PLAYING ON AMERICAS EMOTIONS AND TRYING TO STIR PATRIOTISM AROUND HIM. It's bull shit and insignificant to the debate. I loved when Obama did that and you could hear laughter in the hall when he did... why, because the whole issue is just silly. Everyone knows that our soldiers pay the ultimate price a lot of the time. I thought Chris Matthews said it best last night. It's a ridiculous argument to bring up that a U.S. solider would die in vain. NO U.S. solider has ever died in vain! By his definition we would be engaged in war indefinitely.
  24. It's nice to actually agree with you Hog for once. LOL Although for different reasons of course. I think it was also a tie. I thought Obama let John go on many issues and didn't attack enough. Although many of us see it as a tie all the news channels INCLUDING Fox said Obama wins cause independents think Obama won, which is huge for him. McCain did let some opportunities go, but Obama did too. I thought Obama did fine overall though, and looked very presidential which was one of the main things he wanted to show america. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wup4nsIWe8A
  25. Not sure if that was directed towards me on my supposed love for the Dems. Far from it dude. I have plenty of "critical thoughts and ideas" against the the Dems. I AM an independent and as such gives me a much more non-bias view of things. Not sure, but you and Hog seem to be staunch republicans. That's not bad... but may limit how you view stuff. Not sure, just saying. For the record, I think they are plenty of Dems that should not be re-elected and possible charges should be leveled. Starting with William, "cold money" Jefferson... there's a long list believe me. Keep draining the swamp up there in the capitol I say. Like I said before, you can label ppl however you want. What ever makes you feel more comfortable. It still doesn't make it so.
