  1. Invest in an external hard drive ($50-$100) or even a large size USB Flash Drive. Unless you have a huge iTunes library you should be able to fit all your music and written documents on a 4 GB and definitely on an 8 GB flash drive. How many songs are in your library? eBay has 8 GB flash drives anywhere from $5 to $20. http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m38.l1311&_nkw=8gb+usb+flash+drive&_sacat=See-All-Categories You could also get more memory if you need it to save that stuff. Once you have all that saved on separate memory wipe all the programs and other documents except the necessary OS stuff. My computer was being funky about a year back and I did this and it did wonders for my speed.
  2. Prane, I am surprised you are not a fan of the dv6000. I have the same model, but got it right before Windows converted to Vista so I still have XP. I have had it for over three years and have never run into any serious issues. I often run video editing software, photoshop and go live all at the same time and its still pretty fluid. Do you think completely wiping the hard drive and starting with a clean slate may help?
  3. Do you know the exact model? I can offer more help if I know what jacks and options that the TV has.
  4. This is from my house, my college speed is way faster. Good old U of I ;D.
  5. Socom 2-- +| SHADOW (before I was in Shadow Ops, kind of ironic LOL) Socom 3/CA-- _.-MAVERICK-._ PS3-- MAVERICK3324
  6. Everything you heard in the video was through proxy chat. I thought that made it that more amusing and shows how hard we we're laughing when we were doing it. Thanks for all the feedback, I am glad you guys liked it.
  7. On Thursday Night, Krazykilla, Wishmewell, Goose and I got a little bored with traditional SOCOM. We thought up crazy ways to have knife battles/kill ourselves/blow ourselves up off buildings. I am sure you will laugh at this video, if not by the antics, then by the laughter you can hear in proximity chat. It was about 4 CST when we were doing this, and I was laughing so hard that my mom woke up and told me to be quiet. Let me know what you guys think!
  8. After extensive discussion with another [sHO] member, we were able to resolve the problem. He set me up with two programs that I have never heard of before Tuneup Utilities 2008 and a special program to uninstall corrupted .NET framework. Whatever the problem was, it was within the .NET framework. We were able to clear off the corrupt version of the framework, which in turn allowed me to download the correct version, then reinstalled SVM Platinum and it all worked out. I appreciate the responses and support for those of you who came to my assistance here, it certainly did not go unnoticed, so thank you very much. I am really happy that all is well (at least for now) with my laptop.
  9. Banshee, I have tried downloading the new netframe work 3.0 and 3.5 as well as uninstalling 2.0, and none of it has been successful. When I try to Install 3.0 or 3.5, this message appears. COW, I was able to get the location that you mentioned and find the error, unfortunately, it did not help me much. Here is an image of what the error box looks like, I do not have a clue what to google. After searching some more, I find another proposed solution on a forum, and my dad (who is a software programmer) thought that might help. I ran dos command "chkdsk c: /r" and upon boot up, corrupt data files on my C: drive were located and fixed. Instead of getting the old error regarding my software, I am now getting this error. Naturally, I jumped back onto the Microsoft site and again tried to install .NET Framework. and got the same message. I get the feeling this could be a virus corrupting .NET framework. Any ideas?
  10. All you tech gurus, I come asking helping. I am having issues with my editing software. My software is Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 8.0. It is a legal copy purchased from Sony online. I have ran it for about 9 months without a single issue. I am running Windows XP Home Edition on an HP Pavillion dv6000, and I have been completely updated through windows. Yesterday I went to go edit some SOCOM footage, and got this error: "An error occurred starting Vegas Movie Studio Platinum. Error 0x80070017 (message missing) Details: Failed to intialize script host." I have tried absolutely everything I know to fix an error. I started by Googling it and found that a simple reinstall should work. I followed the troubleshoot section of Sony step by step to uninstall the product, then reinstall. I went to boot it up, and again received the error. Upon rebooting my machine from the uninstall process I received this error: "Error parsing C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\config\machine.config Parser returned error 0x80070017" Seeing that the numbers were identical I googled Error 0x80070017, and found out this information: -2147024873 - ERROR_CRC Data error (cyclic redundancy check). I do not have the slightest clue what that means or how I can fix it. I tried to uninstall and reinstall my Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 and it claimed that it could not be uninstalled due to a 2318 Error. ANYBODY that can lend a hand, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and let me know if you have any questions or need further info.
  11. No doubt it was intense, but I could do without the 10 minute rounds. As the horseman I hid the whole game and did not fire my gun once. Most of the time I was very bored, and felt like I could not help the team in any way. It was either watch them win a round, or be wait to be killed. Maybe it also made a difference that our match was 3v3 because both teams had a guy that could not make it, but for me it was frustrating more than enjoyable. Maybe things will change when I am not the horseman.
  12. I agree, accept not Culpepper, I don't think he will fit their system, not to mention he is retired. I am thinking Kelly Holcomb or Tim Rattay in the free agency. I also could see them trying to trade for another team's solid backup such as Billy Volek from the Chargers, Mark Brunell from the Saints, or Gus Frerrote from the Vikings. We shall see.
  13. Sorry for the lack of a response. As I stated in that more detailed PM, I will be relinquishing my spot. I apologize for any inconveniences this caused the creators or any other staff. Some things have come up, including the start of college and the breakdown of my PS3 and although I do feel honored to be given this opportunity, I do not feel right consuming a spot that will not go to good use.
  14. Good Catch PB, that was a typo on my part. Although, there are two mammals that in fact lay eggs, the Duck-billed Platypus as you stated, and the Echidna, a small spiny mammal. http://www.americazoo.com/goto/index/mammals/1.htm That was a bad typo, I apologize and I hope you didn't tell your daughter that MaCoo :-X.
