I'm getting s sick and tired hearing about Manny Ramirez. first he talked his crap about the Red sox, then the other night he didn't run out a hit which resulted in his being thrown out at first, and now I quote

 

"The Red Sox don't deserve a player like me," "During my years here, I've seen how [the Red Sox] have mistreated other great players when they didn't want them to try to turn the fans against them. The Red Sox did the same with guys like Nomar Garciaparra and Pedro Martinez, and now they do the same with me. Their goal is to paint me as the bad guy. I love Boston fans, but the Red Sox don't deserve me. I'm not talking about money. Mental peace has no price, and I don't have peace here."

 

What a piece of crap he is. Making 20,000,000 a year!!!! and he can't run out the play? Or keep his cocky mouth shut and play? God I hate players like this.

i believe they shouldn't be paid as much, it should just be, you wanna talk smack about us, well contract is over FUCK OFF!!!!!!!!!! that simple, and do it when the trading season is over, that guy will never pay his taxes in time, then you see him cry about how sorry he feels and how he wants to come back.

just being devil's advocate here but...

 

He brings up a good point. What can one man do against the marketing force of a major league baseball team? Maybe he's not the bad guy he's being painted to be. Think about it...have you ever been in a position where you disagreed with a boss, a teacher, a clan leader, someone higher on the chain of command, whatever...and because of that disagreement (whether it be with principles, actions, etc) that person essentially black listed or managed to smudge your name? Granted, there will always be T.O's and Chad Johnson's in the world..the whiney overpaid bitches...but Manny brought up peace of mind. There are and always will be personality conflicts whenever people get together and because sports and the American mindset is so competitive, those clashes become magnified. So maybe, and I'm just talking out of my ass because i know nothing about America's Most Boring Pasttime, but just maybe he's truly unhappy with the way others have been treated; and because of him being outspoken about it, is suffering from the image backlash imposed upon him by a less scrupulous management. Again, just being devil's advocate, but...its been known to happen. ;D

NASCAR is where the WWF got their ideas I think, LOL. But seriously, the outcome isn't controlled by NASCAR. It's still a competition. One where all the teams compete against each other each week. One where pit crews run in front of cars going 50 MPH inches from them. One where drivers have to focus for hours at 180 MPH in 130 degree heat.

 

Yes it's cars going in circles, but the drama comes in what the team you choose to root for does to get to the checkered flag first.

 

And "Fat Boy" is Tony Stewart, 2 time NASCAR Cup champion, Indy car Champ, USAC Champ, the list goes on. Yes he over reacted in a race at a lower division. He will pay for that. But did you know that he in has given over 3 million dollars to The Victory Junction Gang camp and a childrens hospital in Indiana. And this is personal money, not just raised.

 

In fact, what charities does Doosh here support. Without looking it up, just off the top of your head, what community work does your stick and ball sport hero support(and court appointed community service doesn't count, LOL)

But I would say -- that Manny needs to run to the base and try -- aint nobody from the marketing or whatever going to responsible for that. And if he has recieved 1 paycheck from that team for performing he needs to man up and run, and then when off the field, correct his situation.

 

wwe and nascar -- lol you guys crack me the fuck up.......... that is funny stuff.

I agree 100%.. but i do wish he would run out the play, & deal with this stuff seperately.

I am a sox fan and like manny, but its true we dont know the whole story..

I have left 2 jobs in the past because of personal conflict that i disagreed with upper management, so i can see that totally being the same thing here.!
