Ummm there was no war, NES/SNES destroyed Sega. Oh and SNES destroys Xbox and PS3 as well. I have an FC Twin which is a top loading system that plays both NES and SNES games and it is the coolest thing ever. It only costs like 30 bucks and the old school games are incredible.

It also plays all versions of games, including foreign, right? SNES is without a doubt the greatest system ever, no contest.

 

And yeah, there was a BRIEF war between Nintendo and Sega but all Sega had to show for it was Sonic and MK with blood. The Sega Genesis had a ton of good games, but Sonic and MK are the only ones anyone will remember (TOEJAM AND EARL FTW). At least I've had the best of both worlds.

 

Two best systems of all time:

1) SNES

2) Sega Dreamcast

I havent tried any foreign versions but I know their are some games it wont play. Those games arent any big title or good games anyways so it dont really affect anything. Id have to check on the foreign versions tho

I have no genesis anymore but I have a game! I have the spiderman Maximum Carnage. It's part of a box set with a leatherbound graphic novel of that story arc. ;D

i have an SNES, i got it a flea market for 20 bucks and 5 games, good thing super mario was one.
