  1. I would like to add something here along the same lines as AC (i.e. UF rules). As a reminder to all, entry into UF is not only based on your actions "on the battlefield," so to speak, but also in how you carry yourself and represent your clans here on the forums. Last, take it or leave it, but you are hurting DE's opportunity to compete within UF each and every time you post threads that are seemingly posted to "stir the pot," causing unnecessary drama. There is a right way to do things and a wrong way to do things. And many community members have given you different suggestions as to other ways to appropriately handle yourself on these forums. Unfortunately, each and everytime, you reply with more negativity and inciteful words. What you need to remember is the very community that you so enjoy getting a rise out of, is the very community that will decide on DE's entry into UF. So if your clan is truly interested in being accepted as a contributing clan into this community and desires the opportunity to compete here, you really should reconsider your actions as of late.
  2. It's all that schwag from back in the day, what can I say?
  3. Hey, that all depends on who you are selling to! I think I'd go gay a time or two before selling my kidney ... just sayin!
  4. Personally, I would have tried selling my body first, but us women are clever like that. Leave it up to a man to go giving away a vital organ. He definitely wasn't thinking smarter.
  5. EWWWW! People actually eat McDonald's? (Just giving you a hard time. But seriously, my family absolutely DOES NOT eat there. We prefer real food. ;-P) No gaming snack because I'm not currently gaming, but some of our favorite snacks in general: Summertime ... we love fresh, homemade guacamole with Tostitos organic Blue Corn chips. (BEST chips ever. Gotta try them.) Also love fresh fruit salads in the summertime. SB and the likes ... Muffaletta sandwiches, Buffalo Chicken Dip, good old Rotel dip. General snacking ... ADDICTED TO PISTACHIOS! and love to eat ice. I'm going to ruin my teeth if I can't break my ice habit! LOL
  6. The 2nd Amendment will get destroyed because of the idiots walking into stores, pointing guns at people, and trying to rob them. THAT is the problem. Anti 2nd Amendment groups will NEVER win the argument based on situations like this where an armed citizen has killed a bad guy because even if guns were outlawed, "bad guys" would still have them! That argument is completely illogical! Do you think that armed robber obtained that gun legally? Do you think it was a registered hand gun? Obviously not. (BTW, I'm not griping AT you, I'm griping TO you. I know I'm preaching to the choir. Stuff like this just gets my blood to boiling! We are so backwards on some things!) I'm less concerned about Anti 2nd Amendment groups and more concerned about a justice system that jails a man who shot and killed a thug that WILLINGLY put himself into a situation where SOMEONE was most likely going to get hurt. I think situations like this should be used as an example to criminals that if you choose to commit a crime like this and you are hurt in the process, that is just the consequence of your actions and maybe next time you'll reconsider. Jail obviously isn't a deterrent, so maybe death would be.
  7. But criminals are acquitted everyday on "technicalities" to commit crime after crime after crime. They are paroled to commit crime after crime after crime. They walk free everyday to commit crime after crime after crime. They walk into a pharmacy to commit armed robbery and the pharmacist goes to jail for reacting to a situation he was FORCED into. It's a shame! Good for the pharmacist! He should have pissed on the trash too.
  8. I hear ya! What's he going to do when it's time to upgrade?
  9. That's sad. He can't be right.
  10. I'm going to put in my 2 cents here. If you walk into a business or home to commit armed robbery, you better be prepared for the consequences. And regardless of the pharmacist's military training, fact is, he was threatened with a gun. That's not an everyday occurrence and people will make emotional decisions. Lesson to be learned, if you don't want to be killed, don't go committing armed robberies, otherwise, you may just get a little more than you bargained for.
  11. I personally appreciate that Voltage's post expressed his opinion in a manner that is much more mature than what I've witnessed by others. And while one may not agree with what he is saying, so long as people are respectful and not openly hostile or just plain rude, there is nothing wrong with a little constructive criticism. I think the habitual DESTRUCTIVE criticism of UF by some is what "the community" does not tolerate or appreciate.
  12. I got the same thing. It shut down my browser and this pop-up came up and "Windows" wanted to scan. I said no and it started scanning anyways. I don't have a clue what ad it was but it was that typical "Windows has detected a virus and needs to scan" virus.
  13. At first, a little "In your face" BUT I'm not even noticing them now. (Don't tell the ad company that! LOL) Hey, short of viruses or spyware, UF should do what UF has gotta do to keep this community up and going. While many come here for the tourneys, I stick around for the freak shows and I find them quite enjoyable, so advertise away!
  14. I like the red for the website too. It is hard to read the quote, though. Looks nice.
  15. I hear ya! That might be one GMO I'd have to support.
  16. Oh, I can appreciate laughing at some idiot who thinks he knows when the world is going to end. I just wouldn't go putting myself in the category of people who are going to be left behind and scavenging the Christian's goods. Ain't nothing funny about that! ;-)
  17. I hope your pup gets well. I had a pup that I had rescued from the animal shelter and she had or contracted parvo shortly after I got her. It's definitely some bad stuff. Unfortunately, I didn't catch what was going on in time. And about animals and heaven, all I know is that God is good so I can't imagine us wanting for anything in heaven, including the animals we loved.
  18. Ok, the religious jokes are soooo not funny. You'd better hope you are raptured. The alternative isn't going to be fun. Just sayin' ...
  19. Oh Irish! Why did you have to go and bring this up? You DO NOT want me getting started on this subject. Let me just say this ... Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) are so bad on so many levels. The fact that a company can genetically modify seed, plant it next to my clean, pure crop, taint MY crop through natural cross pollination, and then SUE ME for growing THEIR seed is insanity of the highest order. And that's just the first problem with GMOs ... we won't get into how about 80% of our food contains GMOs (products made with soybeans and corn are the biggest culprits) and how terribly unhealthy it is for us ... notice the increase in food allergies and gluten intolerances and then there is the worry about the transfer of antibiotic resistance (from the foods containing the GMO product to the human that ingested it) and the list goes on. Truthfully, are y'all really tripping over UF filing a patent on a FREAKIN' TACMAP? Seriously?!?!?!? Why not put some of that same passion and energy into the things that really matter, truly mean something in life?
