  1. I know, right? I was thinking it sounded like a Guidepost story or something, lol! I'm still in shock. He isn't responding to "Leemor" like I had always imagined he would, if we ever found him, but I have to remind myself that he has been gone for three years. He's definitely doing other things that he used to do, like sit right next to me and lean on my leg. He's also not as well trained as we had him. I guess we will have to work on all of that again. I'm sad that he's not the same dog that left, but maybe with time, he'll become more like his old self. He's still sweet natured and so gentle with our boys and I guess I can't ask for more than that. And I try not to think about the fact that someone was mean to him. Makes me want to go and find the people taking care of him (if that's what you can call it) and have a word or two. I don't think I mentioned earlier that when we found him, he was running with another dog and right after we loaded him up in my Tahoe, a car pulled up behind me at the stop sign and a lady got out and yelled to the other dog to go home. We just pulled off since we didn't want to deal with her. We knew he was ours and didn't feel like she needed any kind of explanation. Crazy thing is that the direction that she came from and pointed for the other dog to go home is the same direction that we had always suspected that he was. There was a pond out that way that he would run off to and jump in and then come back home and we always thought that someone living down a dirt road out that way must have found him and penned him up so he couldn't get home. There were even a few nights that we would hear a dog barking way off in the distance out that way and my husband would swear that it was Leemor so we would get in the car and drive that way and call out his name. Since he never came running, we were convinced he was penned up or that it just wasn't him and was some other dog that barked exactly like him. Breaks my heart to know that he was so close. And then when we moved, it was hard because we felt like we were leaving him behind, in case he ever came home. It's all just so crazy! Like I said before, God works in mysterious ways. We have been back by our old house TWO times since we moved a year and a half ago and for us to just randomly decide to drive by as our dog was standing on the corner, literally a hundred yards from the old house, is just astounding to me!
  2. Interesting ... I've learned a few terms over the years from the gaming community. Who knew someone could turn tea bags into something raunchy??? And Maurader, if the wife is happy, ya done good!
  3. We had a Golden Retriever that we had owned for 6 years before he went missing 3 years ago one afternoon after my husband let him out of his pen so he could get some exercise in the yard. We spent weeks looking for Leemor. We looked all around our neighborhood, checked the animal shelter a few times, called vets to see if anyone had come in recently with a Golden that they had found, etc. and never found him. So yesterday, we spent the day with my husband's family for Christmas. (We moved into our current home a year and a half ago.) We were coming home and as were were passing our old road, I said to my hubs, "Hey, drive by our old house. I'm curious if it sold." (The people who bought it from us put if up for sale like 2 months after buying it.) Anyways, we turn down our old road and when we get to the stop sign at a crossroad, I see a Golden Retriever that looks EXACTLY like Leemor. I rolled down my window and called out, "Leemor!" And he turned and looked at me. My husband got out and looked at him, his teeth (he had a couple of chipped teeth from a ball he used to have), rubbed his chest where he used to rub him to get him to shake and he shook. Anyways, after checking him over and looking at other things that Leemor had, we realized that it was him! My 8 year old was balling! He kept saying, "We found him! We finally found Leemor!" So we loaded him up. He had on a collar (no info. on it), so someone was taking care of him. After we got home, my husband called out a German word we used with him to come and he turned around and ran to him. It's definitely Leemor! He's very afraid of my husband. Makes me think that a man has been abusive to him, but he LOVES my boys. A tliitle bit of time and some love and he will be back to the old Leemor. I just can't believe it! My three year old was asking for a dog for Christmas. God works in mysterious ways!
  4. OMG, I just found the definition for a facial in the urban dictionary. OHHHHKAY, let me clarify ... I enjoy facials as defined by Wikipedia, "A facial is a procedure involving a variety of skin treatments, including: steam, exfoliation, extraction, creams, lotions, facial masks, peels, and massage. It is normally performed in a beauty salon but it is also a common spa treatment."
  5. What's wrong with getting a facial? Is this some strange sex term that I am not familiar with or something?
  6. Facials and massages always make me happy. The hubby knows that no matter what, I'll love getting a gift certificate for one of those.
  7. Yea, it was TDH. I was trying to remember them the other day.
  8. Props to him for putting family first.
  9. Speaking of cBF, anyone seen BigMoneyNacku around lately? Just realized I haven't seen him lately.
  10. What do you mean, "No mention of socom4"? It's right there! Here, I'll highlight it for you.
  11. It would not have been stupid to just add 5 questions. Had you posted, "What does sponsorship provide? How long does it last? When is it in force? What tournaments are sponsored? What is in a hosting package? What does the ladders get? Does the Zazzle products sell well?" I PROMISE you, you would have gotten an entirely different response from this community. You posted in a manner that looked as though you were questioning the integrity of UF. That along with your prior playstation network forum post about gaming sites, including your mention of UF, makes your intentions seem a bit shady and certainly doesn't support the claim of "just to satisfy my curiosity". All the time spent researching infomation on a community in which you have "no concern about the community" and where "There is no concern ..." on your behalf, isn't logical. Surely you'd agree that people don't put time and effort into causes which don't concern them?
  12. Maybe the third time will be the charm. DirtyFeast, can you please reply to my original post and answer the questions. I have copied my original post below so as to make it easy for you. DirtyFeast, I'll agree that people do tend to fly off the handle around here. But, that is what family does. They fiercely protect their own when they believe they are under attack. Right or wrong, I'm sure you understand. I think the real question here is intent. What exactly is your intent by asking those questions? You stated, " I have never been involved in a clan that participated here. I have never had the interest in participating here." So why the concern about the community and what it does, how it functions, etc? I don't know you but from your second post, you sound like an intelligent, reasonable individual, so the "interest" in UF and it's "business" from someone who has absolutely no ties to this community is perplexing and causes me to question your motivation and purpose. If your intent was purely informational, then a PM to a director or staff would have been sufficient enough for your personal purposes, especially since those of us who do have ties to this community could very easily ask the same questions (without all the added commentary), if we deemed necessary. So I ask, what was the purpose of your questions and what was the motivation behind asking them?
  13. Oh and by the way, I personally won the Twitter contest and received my Halloween t-shirt in the mail just this last week. And that information, along with the other two winners Twitter names can be found on UF's home page. ;-) THANKS UF!!
  14. DirtyFeast, will you please reply to my earlier post? Thank you.
