Well, Maurader wanted the flip-side and I'll give it to ya.... Tonight, APC faced off against FBR. APC lost in two maps 680 to 60 or something like that. It was a blow-out, literally, and it had nothing to do with the HQ point or any kind of "loop." This was when our clans even switched sides on the same map. BOTH clans had equal opportunity to reach that point. In fact, on a handful of occasions, APC even got to the HQ first to try and hold it down for the 30-second delay, and FBR just outplayed us. Before, when discussing this point in this thread, I was just going off of my knowledge of all the "test nights" the UF Staff did on a delayed HQ map. Last night, I played it firsthand in a war. Sorry, Maurader.....the "loop," if it exists, has absolutely NOTHING to do with a win or loss on a 30-second delayed HQ map. Absolutely NOTHING. That delay is the LIFESAVER from making these maps the pub-room scrammblefests that they've become HQ after HQ. We had every chance in the world to win last night and we weren't able to pull it off. Hell, even on the ones that FBR got to first, we had every opportunity to kill off the few guys that were already there during the delay time in order to take it down for ourselves.....and FBR outplayed us last night. I cannot find a single shred of evidence from our playing last night (and we got SPANKED) that supports your theories. And I tried. HELL, I'd have liked to BELIEVE it after last night's loss. But I simply couldn't.

Sniper told me he stopped making them because he didn't think anyone in the UF community looked at them or appreciated their existence. And then he cried a little. Until I called him a ninny. ;D Then he hung up. And probably cried a little more.

No, it's more like Socom's Control Points, but instead of 5 there is only one....and it act like a Wack-a-Mole and pops up in different places throughout the duration of the map.

I'd like to open up a little clarification here on this "overdose" thing. I have a doctor friend, and I talked to her about this on the phone today....as she was chuckling a little when she heard the news on the radio. Most doctors, she says, will. Because when they say "overdose" on the radio, it sounds pretty passive, as if he took 3 pills instead of 2. She says it is very very VERY hard to actually overdose on just pills alone. Usually, she says, when you find someone dead around a pile of pills.....they simply committed suicide. To overdose on pills.....you have to take a LOT. A-LOT. You can overdose on heroin, cocaine, ecstasy, whatever....but PILLS. Pills, by nature, are made and contained in controlled-form doses, unlike the above drugs which are powders and amounts can be "off." We're not talking "tablespoons" of Ibuprofen here, we always talk about "tablets." Chances are.....CHANCES are....he simply committed suicide. And YES he had a life worth living. He left behind a two year old daughter. Not trying to shit on a dead man here....as I'm sure facts will come out soon (as well as some spin). But they're using the word "overdose" a lot about this story right now....and that usually means something more acute but ugly.

And here's the KICKER......the upcoming Batman movie with his part as the JOKER is his last role....and they're saying that he's the BEST Joker thus far in movies, surpassing even Nicholson. We'll be watching a dead man on screen soon. Harkens to some Brandon Lee/Crow vibes.

LOL...competition, by definition, is a contest in which there is a victor and there is one who loses. What you're citing above is called a "game plan." Different ones work for different teams. I don't know. I think this is a losing battle of a conversation. Luckily we won't see any more HQ wars after this week.....for Maurader's sanity! LOL

I thought you were going to be on vacation until next week! LOL Yes, we all liked HQ to "rank up" quickly.....but c'mon....that had NOTHING to do with guaranteed wins. Â That has to do with a LARGE amount of points because of HQ-bonuses and a LARGE amount of kills. Â A LOT. No one went to rank up in HQ because it was a guaranteed win on only ONE side, and HOPEFULLY they got that side. Â You can't PICK your sides in a ranked public room. Â You go in, get placed on a side, and yes, you "rank up" and rank up BIG when you win. Â And you win by outplaying the other team. I didn't play in a match last night, so I can't speculate how "easy" it might have been over another clan. Â But I just don't see how SO many of us are missing the point here and only one, maybe two guys are seeing the big picture over all of us...... And as for your comment about "we'll see on Wendsday...." Â I don't understand what that is supposed to mean? Â I mean, didn't all clans play BOTH sides of the map last night? Â Or no.....? Â ???
