Im gettin tired of going back and forth between threads to argue with the Cubs and Phillies fans out there. Why dont we all come together and proclaim our teams greatness in one thread. I will begin with saying that, as Utley strikes out to start the eigth, the Phillies pitchin sucks and the Cubs will lose their NL Central lead tonight. I was actually going to say something when I saw their application but I decided against it. I wasnt really sure of the UF policy in regards to information about clans. The Dismantled clan is filled with cheaters and trouble makers. I was actually involved in a league that didnt get off of the ground because of the trouble caused by .dm's leaders. Well lets also say thats it is quite funny that the Phillies thought Joe Blanton was gunna be the guy to beat the Mets. They gave up three good prospects for a guy who has never really taken off and was 5-12 in the AL. They brought him in to beat the Mets and in his first game he gives up 5 (shoulda been 7) with two homers. Kudos to the Phillies management LOL Oh yea now lets see what the recent call up Brett Myers can do lol And I care who has the series lead, its all I can hold on to right now after last nights game and last years collapse to those goddamn Phillies. Im just waiting for Pedro to call them his daddy now lol. And somebody please tell me why our 150 million dollar man couldnt throw 10-15 more freakin pitches....

Yea Phillies def pulled it out in a nice fashion. Mets still have the season series lead and will have to bounce back in the next game. I def had a few drinks to sooth my misery after the game. This one stung alot but thats what happens when youre retarded third base coach gets a player thrown out at the plate twice and for some reason Reyes doesnt throw the ball to Easely. The beauty of baseball is this. 60 something games left lol. And Im glad I get to hate the Phillies fans for once. The Mets and Phillies have never had good teams at the same time. Where do I begin lol... PITCHING: Mets have no pitching? HAHAHA! Santana goes 8-7 before the break with a sub 3.00 ERA (ERA inflated to 3.10 due to one bad inning on thurs). Even though he was only 8-7 he still had one more QS than Carlos Zambrano and 30 more strikeouts. Also Santana has much more playoff experience and a couple more CY Youngs than your #1 guy. I would take Santana over Zambrano (who has also proven he is a head case, shaken easily and fighting with catchers) any day. Now what about the #2's. Rich Harden career postseason line of 2 Postseason Ser 6.43 ERA 0-0 7ip 7H 5ER 7BB 5SO or Pedro Martinez's line 8 Postseason Ser 5-3 3.40 79.1ip 63h 30er 26bb 80so with one WS win with 7ip, 0.00, 3h, 2bb, 6so. Lets even put Ollies line up here 4.63 1-0 11.2ip 13h 6er 3bb 7so. Looks like Harden might have the regular season edge this year but give me a healthy Pedro in the playoffs anyday. Even give me that BIG GAME OLLIE who has dominated the Yankees (all playoff atmosphere games) and already has a QS in game 7 of the NLCS vs the Cardinals. How about Ted Lilly vs John Maine. Lilly's career 4.46 ERA with his stellar postseason line 6.61 ERA 0-2 16.1 ip 19h 12er 7bb 14so or Maine's career ERA 4.16 and Mets ERA under 4.00 and his postseason line of 2.63 ERA 1-0 13.2 ip 10h 4ER 11bb 13so. Whoever said John Maine was only a first half pitcher is kind of retarded seeing that in OCTOBER John Maine has thrown 3 games with an ERA under 2.7. The only thing I like about LIlly is that hes a lefty. Dempster vs Pelfrey? Dempster is having a stellar year and I wont take that away from him while Pelfrey has just found himself and is pitching very well winning his last 6 of 7. Neither of them have any real playoff numbers so I cant compare that but Dempster is a 31 year old who is having the first real good SP year of his career while Pelfrey is an up and coming star who lets not forget is only 24 years old!. Dempster might have the edge for now but I think this would be a good matchup in the playoffs. And lets not forget Dempsters five run ninth inning collapse against the Mets last year, IN CHICAGO. BULLPENS: Wagner, Smith, Schoenweis all sub 2.90 ERAs and Sanchez and Feliciano sub 3.8 while Cotts is the only Cub RP under 3 with Gaudin and Wuertz around 3.5, Marmol over 4 and Howry a nice 4.75. Heilman has had a bad year so far and Kerry Wood will probably be hurt come playoffs lol. Also the Mets have three lefty relievers which always helps. Wagner, although inconsistent at times, is a proven closer against Kerry Wood who is an injury joke. I do like Marmol though as his stuff can be dirty. All in all I dont see where the bullpen advantage is for the Cubs. LINEUPS: I like both teams lineups alot but if the Mets have Ryan Church back and Delgado hitting in the seven hold I would have to give the slight edge to the Mets. Especially seeing that this Mets lineup has proven they can score runs in the postseason while this Cubs lineup helped the team get swept last year. Also Geovany Soto better start throwing out better than 28% of runners stealing if the Cubs want to stop the Mets from running all over them. MANAGERS: Obviously the edge has to go to the Cubs and Lou Piniella although Piniella hasnt won anything in more than a decade. DIVISIONS: Both teams are currently involved in three team races but the Cubs are in more trouble against the Brewers and Cardinals than the Mets are against the Phillies and Marlins. Both teams are going to be in an exciting race down the stretch. HISTORY: Black cats, September collapses, Goats, Bartman and the rest will make this potential NLCS matchup a fuckin media headache. I dont know if the Mets v Cubs will be a playoff series or an exorcism. Hopefully we will get to see the outcome of this matchup instead of a Phillies v Brewers NLCS lol

The movie was great. I will tell you right now that Heath Ledger will undoubtedly recieve the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. Look at previous years winners and especially the past 5 years winners: Javier Bardem in No Country for Old Men, Alan Arkin in Little Miss Sunshine, George Clooney in Syriana, Morgan Freeman in Million Dollar Baby, Tim Robbins in Mystic River. My point being: None of these actors and roles come close to the amazing job done by Heath Ledger. Best Supporting has always been a weak category. Heath takes it in a landslide Christian Bale and Micheal Keaton are neck to neck in my book although Christian Bale has played a much better Bruce Wayne.

Last nights game was incredible!!!! They wont collapse this year because they are getting that hunger back. They lost the hunger last year and didnt know what they were playing for. Willie was a terrible manager. I like Manuel and hes doing a great job but I still want BOBBY V back!!!!
