Do you have a hangnail that’s killing you right now? Is there something wrong with America’s youth you need to get off your chest? Are the voices in your head telling you to kidnap your neighbor’s poodle? Rockstar has the perfect solution for you. Calling in to the WKTT Radio Hotline gives you the chance to vent all of your problems, LIVE! All you have to do is call their number at 212-360-2368, wait for the tone, say and spell your name, and then go ahead and vent to your heart’s content. The calls will then be screened and possibly selected to be featured in the upcoming GTA IV. So go ahead, now is the perfect time to let the world know what a jerk your boss is for leaving a whole mess of work for you to do while he goes to Thailand for another one of his special “business tripsâ€. http://news.filefront.com/be-heard-on-the-radio-in-gta4/

These Grand Theft Auto IV scans are from the latest issue of the British gaming mag Games TM. The 7-page-long exclusive preview contains details about the gameplay and some brand new in-game pics that make me feel all warm inside. Here's a quick list with some of the notes from the article: * *The cell you saw in the trailer appears to be a big part of the game. Instead of buying weapons at Ammu-Nation you can call "Little Jakob", a caribbean weapon dealer, who will provide you with guns. * *There is a menswear store called "Perseus" * *The "Tw@ Café" internet Café from GTA III is back. You can surf the Internet from every computer in the game. * *You will be able to use taxis to get around. You can watch the drive from the ego-perspective or you can skip the whole thing by pressing the proper button. * *Every crime committed increases the wanted level. As soon as you reach a certain level a search area appears on the radar. If you escape from such an area without being spotted by pedestrians/cops, the wanted level falls back. If you are spotted by a witness, the area changes to the place where you were last spotted. Sounds to me like they want to make this chapter more realistic. What do you guys think? Is it a good thing or a bad thing? The shift in how your wanted level works will have a huge impact on the game -- instead of just hoping you didn't get seen, you'll have to be a bit more careful with your indiscriminate killing. Check out all the scans below in their Brit-tastic glory. http://www.destructoid.com/new-gta-iv-details-and-scans-34686.phtml

New Version Of PlayStation 3 To Go On Sale In August; Sony Cuts Price On Older Model AP - 7/8/2007 6:57 PM - Updated 7/8/2007 6:58 PM Sony Corp. announced a revised PlayStation 3 console Monday with a bigger hard drive for storing downloaded content such as video games and high-definition movies. The new $599 PS3 increases the system's storage capacity from 60 to 80 gigabytes and also includes a retail copy of the online racing title ``MotorStorm,'' a company spokesman said. Starting Monday, the current 60 gigabyte model will cost $499 _ a $100 price drop. The larger capacity machine won't be available in the United States and Canada until August. It plays into the company's upcoming strategy of eventually offering downloaded high-definition movies, video games, movie trailers and demos, Sony spokesman David Karraker said. Karraker said further details on high-def movies for download would be released at a later date. The announcement comes two days before the E3 Media & Business Summit in Santa Monica, Calif., where dozens of industry heavyweights including Sony rivals Microsoft Corp. and Nintendo Co. are expected to show off their latest games and related products. In April, Microsoft began selling a version of its Xbox 360 with a 120-gigabyte hard drive and a souped up high-definition video connection. Called Xbox 360 Elite, the black-colored system sells for $479.99. Xbox gamers who already own the $399.99 20-gigabyte model can buy a snap-on 120-gigabyte hard drive for $179.99. Karraker said Sony would use the E3 show to focus on two areas: ways to increase the number of consumers who own PS3s and other products such as the PlayStation Portable handheld system, and expanding the system's library of available games. He said Sony would be releasing 100 new video games during the current fiscal year, including 15 titles that are exclusive to the PS3 such as the hack-and-slash action title ``Heavenly Sword.'' http://www.kotv.com/news/national/story/?id=131051

Alvin and the Chipmunks was never anything amazing, and even as a kid I never fully grasped why these giant, intelligent chipmunks were able to live in the human world fairly unnoticed outside of some relative fame as singers (rather than as the mutant freaks they were). However, I was fairly certain Hollywood was going to somehow take my mediocre memories of the series and destroy them yet again in their big screen, semi-live-action adaptation. I couldn't have been more wrong! Look at this poster! They've cleverly made the chipmunks look like old school rappers! Just as Jason Lee implies with his expression and relative size, I want to eat these fellas up! I know what I'll be asking for come Christmas: tickets! What do you get when you cross online classified ads with web-based video? Realpeoplerealstuff.com is equal parts Craigslist and YouTube—a whole new way for customers to reach out to one another to sell their used appliances, automobiles, collectibles, concert tickets and countless other goods and services. “Realpeoplerealstuff.com combines the hottest internet trends in one, easy-to-use site: e-commerce, snarky writing, funny videos, everyone's desire to be a star and video sharing.†With a few clicks of a mouse, customers can upload their own video commercials, recorded on their camcorders, webcams, digital cameras or cameraphones. Ads are organized by category and location, and users can enter text descriptions, prices, thumbnail photos and tags along with their video clips. For best results, users are encouraged to engage their personality, creativity and sense of humour when filming their commercials. And who knows? One may well turn out to be the next average Joe or Jane launched into internet stardom. The service is entirely free—for now at least, though there may come a day when, like Craigslist, modest charges apply to select portions. Realpeoplerealstuff.com improves on two of the top trends on the internet—videos and classified ads—by combining them. And it's a smart new use of personal video, especially considering the number of people who are growing accustomed to using their cellphones or digicams to create and upload their own videos. With classifieds, videos obviously a useful extra layer of information, especially when it comes to renting apartments or selling cars and other large items. Definitely one to start up locally.
