Man I really don’t want to say anything on this either Snipe this should never even been posted to the public forum since it appears to me to be something concerning a private matter between clans. I’m going to speak up primarily because I feel lashing out at Tow or UF in regards to this is simply uncalled for and just plain wrong.. Rev, sincerely.. me and you have a little bit of history.. and honestly hell man I thought you were a cool kat.. I haven’t really changed my mind about that. I'm not going to go into any of the disputes you are having or not having with any other member or clan. But if you would like to talk just man to man I’m willing to hear you out (by p.m.) and perhaps get you to see things from a different perspective in the hopes that reason will wear down any anger. I see you are getting frustrated but honestly (with the exception of heated disputes..) no one that I know of as ever said anything but general good things about you and your clan. Tempers flared and things got said, that’s understandable but neither myself nor the other admins are on a vendetta against inU and as far as I can tell neither is any other clan here. Lashing out at Tow IMO is simply unfair and wrong.. as far as I’m concerned he may not be God here at UF.. but if anyone would be considered the CEO then that would be Tow and as such he deserves some amount of respect from each and every member here. {after saying that I hope sniper doesn’t get upset and make me some sort of monkey sig…  } Just to set the record straight.. I will say this; any recent decisions made concerning disputes or claims were in great detail examined and cross examined and any decisions made by Gravity; not only had the other admins input and opinion but were in full agreement. In other words we spent some time on it and gave it some very close detailed scrutiny and gave honest opinions based on the facts. No consideration was made concerning who the involved parities were, that was not a factor. We spent the time to insure we got it right.. Tow and Snipers time and effort giving to the dedication of honor above all in concerns to UF is IMO above reproach. You say he has a god complex when in actuality it’s quite the opposite, I don’t envy the task of constantly trying to get everyone to simply act like an adult and discuss disagreements in a cordial manner.. If it was not for Tow and Snipe this place would fast become a Monkey House.. Goat out..

I didn't have it reserved and Game stop didn't have any extras but EB had two extras and I ran and got it after lunch. I'll be around Havoc but not signed online. I just now managed to get thru the first mission without getting frag'd.. still uncomfortable with the buttons and I keep trying to jump?? LOL. I can see already you really gotta use cover.. otherwise your dead meat. p.s. I love the blind shooting around the cover, doesn't hit anything but it sure is cool..

you got it Comigar and Cuz as well as anyone else.. just give me a day or two, I'm still getting used to this button configuration and should at least play enough single player to get used to the game play.. but I'm all up for learning this game.. I still can't get over the graphics.. Man I hope Socom 4 will take advantage of the PS-3's better graphics ability like they are saying it will. I'm sure I can get into RG-6 in the mean time but once Soc-4 hits you know where I'll be heading back to. LOL.

OMG!! this game is hard!!! I've never played any of Clancey's stuff (well splinter cell excluded) I love when he's behind cover and i get the 3rd person view but this jumping back and forth between first and third view everytime you move is going to be tough to get used to... Man I feel like a total fricking nub!! If another Mexican kills me I'm going to scream!!! LOL! p.s. Awesome graphics.. haven't tried online yet, I'm still doing single player and trying to get used to using other buttons to fire with... someone help the nub out and give em some tips and shzt on this game.. I'm a scared to go online and be the nub with the target painted on his head! LOL. hit me up with a pm if you got some time as well as some knowledge on this game and can help a poor goat out...

Dave, I’ll try to be super nice since my name is Dave as well, that sort of Daveyness thing and all that. It’s not the intention of anyone in the UF community to purposely exclude a member from qualification simply due to their nationality. This is from a strictly business point. The prize is corporate sponsored and as such certain limitations imposed by the Corporations guidelines and adherence to Govt and State laws and regulations pertaining to tax requirements for prize give-a-away’s need to be followed. It’s the same conditions that apply to almost every contest or promotional give a away. For example non-US citizens are ineligible to win a State Lottery. The only exception being a holder of a United States Permanent Resident Card, yep it’s commonly known as a “Green Card†It is proof that the holder has permission to conditionally reside and take employment in the U.S. and as such they would be eligible. While I wish we could say that everyone is eligible that is simply not the case. As suggested if you are invited to participate in the tournament. The registered eligible contestant must both be a US citizen and of legal age. What they choose to do with the prize once they receive it is totally up to them. After all, at that point it’s theirs if they want to drop it off a cliff then neither UF nor the sponsor cares. As for the Tags, thru the gracefulness of our creators they are being provided and paid for privately and not corporate sponsored hence they are excluded from the Regulations concerning them. Bottom line is UF is proud to have participates from other countries involved in the tournament. International involvement is not only welcomed but whole heartily encouraged. But that doesn’t exclude UF from having to follow the laws and regulations involved with corporate sponsored prizes. I hope this clears this up and eases any resentment you may have on this issue. Be assured that whether you are a US citizens or not does not in any way influence decisions on invitations. Those determinations are based solely on conduct of play and courteous attitudes of the clans and their members who enroll for consideration of an invitation. Sincerely, Goat.

LoL! no not trying to school anyone.. Didn’t I already cover the LCDvsPlasma debate a while back in detail? Anyway, the question was best 4 Socom.. and the suggestion was for Ps-2 games played on a Ps-3 and even more particular Socom. If you are talking gaming well that’s sort of a general topic.. for computer games, yes LCD since the refresh rate does indeed come into play. For Play station however the plasma is going to give you a better quality picture. For example a blu ray disc on a plasma will kick a LCD’s @ss, however playing WOW on a LCD is superior to using a plasma.. Of course I’m not saying I even know what WoW is? Other than it’s some computer game my son plays. That and I laughed my butt off on the Leroy Jenkins youtube vid. Besides none of it matters much I now believe my crappy playing is due to me falling asleep at the controller… Maybe I shouldn’t have installed one of these? J/K that wmv. Was sent to me by a salesman from a tv mounts manufacturing company.. Cool stuff but I don’t think the wife would go for it..

Goat puts on his AV installation company. owner hat.. yep I actually agree totally with RedOct.. a 42 plas or else just a good ole 32" tube works best for Socom Ca. This is libel to change however when and if they release a socom title for the pS-3 format. If you happen to be using a ps3 for Socom CA then I'd like to offer some so called expert opinion and tips on the video settings. Ok I'm not tooting my own horn, I don't claim to be the be all know all but I do have a bit of experience when it comes to AV and well take it or leave it ..here's my advice. Socom CA is a pS-2 platform, why the hell they didn't just wait a couple weeks and goat ahead and release both a version for ps-2 and ps-3 is beyond me and just another Sony mystery. If you have a ps-3 then read on if not... well... go get one!! LOL The last software update contained some very nice improvements for upscaling graphics from ps2 games on the ps3. Without going too much into it I'll just confine this to how it relates to Socom CA By default the upscaler is set to on but is also set to normal.. if you are using a widescreen, Ie.. 42 plasma then you need to change the setting to Full screen if you are using a standard 4x3 TV then leave it at normal. You will notice a second option called ps2 smoothing.. turn it on!! it's a good thing... now start up your game and get into your profile and go to your options.. under video DO NOT select 420i you must select the standard integrated format from within Socom in order for the upscaler to be utilized if you select 420 then it overrides the up-scaler on the ps3 and you are not going to get the nice 1080i upscale. To add if you have a selection within your TV (this is almost a standard option for plasma's) then it will contain a auto centering function.. what this means is you don't want to use anything but the defualt setting for centering the video within Socom if your television is equipped with a auto centering function and it is turned on.. and you mess with the centering in Socom's vid options you are going to get your picture frame hoping around as both Socom and your TV compete to stabilize and center the video. Selection of wide screen or normal..? ok if you have selected full screen for the PS3's game settings for ps2 games then it will fill the screen... it's totally up to you, if you then compress the picture to widescreen withing Socom's video settings are use the normal selection.. personally I don't select widescreen, sure it gives you a wider field of view but it also compresses the image.. again though that one is up to you. Lastly brightness or gamma settings.. now this is by trial and error but what I have found is that it is better to not adjust the brightness control up too much within socom,, if your picture is too dark then adjust the brightness and or contrast of your television in lieu of using Socom gamma setting. This last one is just my experienced opinion but for me it just seems to be a better option then forcing the brightness thru the games video options.. basically it boils down to this,, DEFUALT all your video settings in Socom's video options and use any other method available to get the desired video setting you are comfortable with.. if all else fails then ok go ahead and tweek the games vid options.. but IMO the less you do so the better the game will function. One final note on Plas' ....a HDMI interface cable is a MUST HAVE... component RGB HD is ok but HDMI is better, S-Video is ok if your TV is a 27" or less and if you are using the standard one line video plug and you have a larger then 32" TV your living in the past and probably should look into upgrading that IBM 33mgz 8mb of ram 240kb hard drive computer running netzero you are using as well.

Hey sorry Havoc, my boy asked me to get his bicycle down in the garage and when I did so I sort of noticed a bunch of boxes that needed to be gone thru.. this led to me getting other boxes out and before I knew it... I had half the garage out in the driveway!!! Damn! I hate that! you go to do one little thing and wind up spending the entire day doing something else!! LOL! oh well at least my garage is the most organized it has been in years!! that and I got a huge load for the salvation army to come pick up.. besides if you just got TWoods then one of the first things you're going to find out is... if you make your own character.. HE SUCKS!! that is until you do some of the skill challenges and complete a bit of the Tiger woods challenge tour.. after you get enough money to buy some decent equipment the game play is improved significantly. So I figure you more than likely could use a bit of time to get your guy up to par sort of speak, I'd rather have a fair match. I wouldn't want to ruin my new nike pro golf shoes from all the puddles you'd be leaving behind.. hee he he...
