My Gamecrazy claims they will have it tomorrow.. it was a 30 min drive too.. funny thing is the car was warm and ready to go... ;D Its looking like Block Buster might have it today though.. according to my local store. He said to call him in an hour , and it seemed like he knew something.. he also stated they would only have the bundles...
  3. yea we were all mad at the side our Rep picked.. he realized it too later in that match.. but regardless.. we had a blast. Our guys always have fun when there is something at stake.

  6. wow.. yea.. i called around yesterday and found out the Gamestop was not expecting till Wed at my local one.. however BestBuy and Walmart both expect to have it today.. SO, i guess i will be moving my money down to a different game at Gamestop.. i can imagine too that one of the biggest video game franchises will loose some future preorders if all get the game later then the local walmarts...

Do the patches and the desire that Slant 6 is showing to succeed not persuade you to buy it? even if it is buggy the first few days... i cant imagine that they will stop patching and trying to improve the game. Me personally i will be picking up my already paid for copy on Tues.. assuming it will be in stock. I will make sure to post any goods or bads for those waiting for the reports.

    And this was verified on Socom.com in one of the answered blog questions.. Seth commented that no special treatment would happen for socom and the store.. it would be avail for DL on thurs the 16th.

  11. I am very excited.. infact i laugh at all of the "cool guys" who canceled there pre orders.. cuz they gonna go back and buy it post release. I am almost positive this is why most games dont have an OPEN beta.. too many people w/ too many opinions.. not that people are not entitled to opinions.. but seriously.. how many times do i have to read the same complaints from the same people. I am not pointing the finger here at anyone, i am referring to all the people posting on Socom.com's blog.. copying and pasting D-PAD LEAN 540 times will not help get their attention.. and if it does its not the attention that the player had hoped for.. What would be funny is if they were checking IPs and causing probs for those IPs while they played...lol far fetched but i would laugh my ass off. I will be on w/ ALL of my 503 guys next week as long as the game hits shelves.. hope to shoot w/ you guys soon.

  17. Where were you w/ this comment a month ago Nack?? lol i actually had a member freak out about our name.. Bluntsmokers.. due to his brother not wanting to join cuz he infact didnt smoke blunts, of any kind. He was trying to push us for a name change but since we didnt change he basically told us he would make due.. then a few days later.. removed himself from ALL 503 members PSN lists.. and deleted his own account on our forums.. removed all friends on MSN/YahooIM etc.. although it might not of kept him around.. its well put and might have shined some light.
  18. Seth isnt going anywhere.. its David which is like the community spokesperson for them.. but like he said.. he pre wrote the next few days worth of blogs... i hope seth is busy working on this patch fix! which im sure the devs are.. with launch coming in what 8 days?
  19. it had solved more then a dozen people that i know problems.. and plus a few here at UF.. its not really a solution being that i use the servers alot , its just another interference that could be messing w/ data transfer. I am aware that alot of other are having this problem too.. it seems as though this patch fixed what they broke last time, but brought on a whole new fix that needs to be dealt w/. I just hope they have the Flame police ready to crack down.. cuz you know the emails have begin to flood in.. along w/ all of the posts..

  21. well my clock on PS3 is right w/ all my other clocks... so although technically you may be right chilli.. it will fuck up my time on my ps3.. it will be 1 hour earlier then it is.. according to what my ps3 says. Weird that the 2 even have anything to do w/ each other.. time and socom..
  22. isnt it possible that all the people downloading are causing the dropped frame rates and diconnects? You know people stayed home from school/work to dl and play this.. i have dl'ed the patch... but have yet to play so i cant really judge anything.. however just trying to keep a positive attitude ...

I'm hopping on a plane in a few hours to travel to the land of the rising sun for something entirely unrelated to SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation, so pardon me if I don't respond to too many comments this week. I'll try to keep up on the internet on my phone, but you know how that goes. Content should be up regularly, though, thanks to the magic of writing ahead of time! Anyway, one thing I like about the new maps is just how destructible they are. Crossroads has the two arches, which I'm sure you've seen at this point, but Urban Wasteland and Fallen have a few spots that are wired too blow once triggered. Urban Wasteland has two spots. There is an elevated walkway that connects the central skyscraper and the building across the street. It provides an easy way for Mercs to make their way into the central structure of the map while avoiding the carnage down on the ground. However, a flip of a switch wrecks the walkway, forcing the Mercs to find another route. This doesn't unbalance the map, though. The Commandos don't have an elevated path, but they have the next best thing-- an underground route. This route leads into the parking garage under the skyscraper... but it can also be blown to bits, blocking the path until the end of the match. Fallen has a total of four bridges, two per side. The larger wooden bridge is the main path to the central ruins for each team, and a smaller stone bridge provides an alternate path. The stone bridges are obviously ready to explode. There is dynamite placed at certain stress points on the bridges, and the flip of a switch sets it off. The top floor of the central tower in Kasbah also has a couple of detonators. These detonators trigger the explosion of a tower in either spawn point, which makes it tougher for players to snipe the tower from home base. http://www.socom.com
