Today, we’re pleased to announce that Ellen will be joined by another Oscar nominee in Willem Dafoe (Platoon, Spider-Man) who will star as Nathan Dawkins, a government scientist who works with Jodie to analyse her powers. At a later stage we’ll have lots more to reveal on the interplay between Nathan and Jodie in the game (no spoilers today!), but suffice to say they form a compelling bond and together deliver some of the most unique and powerful scenes yet seen in gaming. Hi guys, Happy to be back to tell you about some new surprises from PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. More costumes? More minions? Well, okay, yes. But also more new characters! Our newest challengers are Isaac Clarke from Electronic Arts’ Dead Space, and Zeus from... well, from some of the foundational myths of Western society, but also from a little PlayStation game you might know called God of War by SCEA Santa Monica Studio. How did these two emerge as All-Stars from the vast PlayStation multiverse? Synchronicity. We were talking with some friends over at EA who were hard at work on Dead Space 3, and with a lot of Dead Space fans on our team and all the cool tools at Isaac's disposal, some quick concepts emerged and we knew he'd be a great addition. We've also wanted to add another "heavy," hard-hitting character into All-Stars (Big Daddy was getting lonely), and with all the work on <a href="http://us.playstation.com/games/god-of-war-ascension-ps3.html?CMP=soc_us__gm_psasbr_dlc2_02_27_13">God of War: Ascension</a> around Sony Santa Monica, Zeus emerged as a perfect fit. Although I have been developing games for a lot of years, our <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/playstation-mobile/">PS Mobile</a>-exclusive title Life of Pixel was the first time I have had the opportunity to do a big update to one of the games I have worked on after release. It has been fantastic to get the opportunity to revisit the game to fix a few issues that were present in the initial release, and to listen to feedback from those who downloaded Pixel v1. <a href="https://twitter.com/SuperIconLtd">Twitter</a> has been invaluable to keep in touch with those players and discuss issues and ideas for the update. In fact, I had such a great time working on the update I ended up adding in a lot more stuff than I originally planned! Life of Pixel is an old-fashioned platform game with plenty of modern twists and puzzle elements. The star of the game is Pixel, a little green pixel who is tired of being part of the crowd. More...

The first console I ever bought for myself was a PlayStation 2. I remember digesting every single game on the packaged demo disk in fevered anticipation, while saving up the money to buy Metal Gear Solid 2 to go with it. For the record, I always thought Raiden was cool. Now I've wowed you with my PlayStation fanboy credentials, I hope you'll understand the excitement I feel at uttering the following words: This Spring, Thomas Was Alone is coming to <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/category/ps3/">PlayStation 3</a> and <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/category/ps-vita/">PS Vita</a> (with cross buy). Which is, if we're honest, ridiculous. I made a game about rectangles and friendship in my free time. I was lucky enough to find some incredible collaborators who made my script sound good, and my environments sound far more awesome than their humble rectangular graphics. I was shocked when a community formed and people actually played it. It’s a busy week in PlayStation Home, from a huge list of early-access items in x7 to the new Gift Terminal in the Casino. Highlights include new Peakvox Ninja outfits, Billabong clothing, as well as the eagerly anticipated MoCap-created gestures from nDreams.
