Alienware are great computers. They just cost A LOT. If you're willing to pay double for something you can build yourself. Go for Alienware.

Then you have to buy a bunch of programs(if you're an honest person) and it still will crash or freeze. Just pony up the extra couple dollars and get a Mac, and your worries will be over. Seriously, my desk top is almost 3 years old still cruises, and has NEVER CRASHED, or had glitch one. NOT ONCE in three years!!!! Freeware! I have only 1 program on my computer that costs money. Everything else is fee. For example, you want the Adobe Creative Suite, but you're broke.... Instead of Photoshop, use The Gimp. Instead of Adobe Acrobat, use Foxit PDF. Instead of Dreamweaver, use KompoZer.... I read this in an old CNet article. And.. Mac is great and all, very user-friendly. Vista is more open, but does have its security problems and everything else that Microsoft has sucked on. But if he wants to play PC Games, he is gonna have to build a PC. Unless he only wants to play chess and solitaire, lol. But the future is in Ubuntu!! lol. It's free, cool looking and runs great. It's my next OS.

Is it really that easy to build your own? I have been researching it for awhile, but I just haven't had the money to get all the parts. Did you follow any instructions or anything?

If your gonna game on it, I would build it myself. Or if you don't care about saving money, just get an Alienware or Falcon Northwest.

If you want a computer that has what you exactly want on the inside, build it yourself. You get the best deal, and its a good learning experience. If you don't wanna build it, go for a computer with.... Intel Core 2 Duo CPU alteast 1GB RAM around 180GB HDD Do you expect to do any gaming on it? If so, that changes everything... Definitely build it yourself then, lol.

I don't think you guys are gonna like Warhawk... This is just my guess. I "proxy'd" or "hacked" the beta test of it and... its fun and all, but basically you start out with a pistol and could respawn next to someone with a machine and just get owned. This was just the beta though, I am anxious to what the game is gonna turn out to be... Should we set up a UF room the night it comes out and have some fun...? Whoever makes the room, is gonna have to have a good connection causes if you have a crappy ping, it won't let you make a 32 person room or if your connection is REALLY bad then you can't make a 16 person room.

Betas aren't all that special, you get to lose all your "hyped-ness" to a buggy version of a game. I would rather just wait for the full game with less bugs.
