http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=412 Paramount Drops Blu-ray Support; Does Not Include Spielberg Movies Posted August 20, 2007 by Josh Despite selling more movies on the Blu-ray format, Paramount has announced today that they will begin supporting HD DVD exclusively. This move, rumored to be driven by a $150M exclusivity deal with the HD DVD group, comes after Paramount began favoring Blu-ray releases with higher quality video encodings and more HD features. The deal covers all of Paramount's properties excluding those directed by Steven Spielberg. The move will inevitably lengthen a format war which should never have been. Consumers will unfortunately suffer the most, as they will be forced to support a format which is being supported by corporations instead of consumers. No word was given as to how long the exclusivity agreement is for, but rumors indicate through 2008. High definition enthusiasts can now only hope that a DVD-A/SACD situation hasn't been initiated by this decision. _________________________________________________ What idiots. Ya 1080p is better than 1080i. but 1080i is better than non-hd tvs or 720p.

But Socom Tactical Strike does look good. If i get a PSP for christmas that will be my first game.

LOL. I have a ps3 and yet to buy a blu-ray movie because i have no money. I will though buy 300 on blu-ray and many other movies when i get money. I have a 1080i so it still works out.

When watching On the Spot from gamespot.com, they had a feature that included one of the editors with an airosoft gun in a mission which was for Socom Confrontation. In On the Spot they didnt give any information about the next Socom game but they said they will post up all the information they got about the game on thier website tomorrow / today. (AUGUST 17) P.S. They said the game is coming out sometime THIS fall.

EVERYONE.... THE WATCHTOWER IS NOT A GLITCH. WHEN YOU ARE AT THE TERRORIST SPAWN ON THE DOCKS YOU CAN SEE THROUGH THE TREES IN CRACKS AND SEE THE WATCHTOWER PERFECTLY. YOU CAN DO THAT IN REAL LIFE. IT IS NOT A GLITCH, JUST A GOOD SPOT. THE ROOFTOPS ARE NOT A GLITCH. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS JUMP. JUMPING IS NOT A GLITCH. WHEN YOU ARE ON THE ROOFTOPS YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY ADVANTAGES SUCH AS SEEING THE WHOLE MAP OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. ALL YOU CAN DO IS SHOT PEOPLE LIKE YOU DO IN THE GAME.

We are going to have Advanced Player Matching, which is the perfect tool for any player that has limited time, wants to get into a game quickly and have it start right away. This feature is very friendly to new players, and will help to grow the SOCOM community. The lobby system is ideal for clan training and custom matches and we know that SOCOM fans want it to stay. Confrontation also has a lobby system which is very similar to S2/S3. Players can browse through region filters and then enter a room within that filter. We feel strongly that both systems have their application and their audience.

all you need to do is turn the ps3 on but hold the standby button until you here a beep. It should go back to the normal visual setting. -
