The Uprising

On September 9th, 2008 five gamers gathered in hope of creating a clan. These five gamers – Matty2D, mikejaxon, MIwanski, Nino_Nemasis and Xx-CHURCHY-xX – wanted to create more than just a simple clan. Their desire was to create an elite clan. A clan based on more than just shooting together. A clan based on honor, integrity, loyalty, respect and victory. After hours of wasting time and procrastinating, The Uprising was born.

In October of 2008 The Uprising finally put its skills to the test while taking part in the Urgent Fury: Black tournament. The Uprising dominated the field in their first ever tournament, putting up a perfect 8-0 record during the regular season. However, The Uprising’s Cinderella story was put to a stop as they were defeated in the semi-finals by the eventual champions. Despite being defeated, The Uprising made it’s claim as a clan to be reckoned with.
The Uprising was real.

In March of 2009 The Uprising participated in their first ever big tacmap tournament – Urgent Fury: Chain Reaction – This tournament would put the clan to the ultimate test as it was going up against 15 other clans for a chance to hold the title as Urgent Fury’s first ever Socom: Confrontation tacmap champion. The Uprising was in the driver’s seat of the entire tournament, holding over half of all possible territories. They carried their momentum into the playoffs and finished what they started by defeated Junkyard Killaz in the finals. The Uprising was crowned as Urgent Fury’s first Socom: Confrontation tacmap champion.

…and when we are down, our phoenix will rise from the ashes…
…bringing with it, one hell of an uprising…

About Shane Bell

I have been gaming since the very beginning. As the CIO of Urgent Fury, my sole purpose is to get the word out, manage the sites and equipment that make Urgent Fury run and build relationships in the Industry. I am a die hard Socom fan, but I really gravitate to most shooters out there. Though I won't lie, there are many non shooters that I like and now that PlayStation Plus is out there, I get a lot of the free mini games to give me a break from the norm.
