I say cut out the middle man. We construct a larger than life raft out of CoD4 cases when the new SOCOM comes out and we all cross Lake Michigan on it.....

We do consider Chicago our "home base" of sorts, not just for location, but also because coming in constitutes a lot of peoples' actual VACATIONS (bringing the wife, maybe the kids) and we like having it in a location that offers more than just the event of the clan(s) get-together. In Chicago, well, you kind of have EVERYTHING. But we're not opposed to sometimes having it somewhere else. Heck, we could just have some of our Staff sort of be the UF "presence" there if Sniper and I are unable to make it. I liked the idea of coordinating the first UF meet with the actual APC meet. It guaranteed that we would have more than 10 people walking around. Sniper and I talked about perhaps making the next UF meet SO far in advance (as in, announcing the exact date THIS year for the next meet NEXT year) that perhaps other full clans can coordinate theirs with the UF meet as well. Kind of kills two birds with one stone, you know? Not only meet the guys in your own clan, but other clans you've gotten to know through these tourneys. There are many possibilities here and, as always, we'll always take a look at them all.

This is JUST a guess, but I would fathom we'd put one together around the time of the next TACMAP tourney, Chain Reaction. By that time, we can add artwork in for Chain Reaction, Ronin and the uh....OTHER tourney that should be launching around that time.

Now wouldn't it be MESSED UP if this bus killer dude was actually possessed by the original apartment killer?! I bet you he did. But that'll never make it into the police report.

Someone's going to have to help me here (this really should have been brought up by your Clan Rep), because on the following link, I have the THREAD titled as an HQ war, but the war REPORT (which is what I read) states the war was fought over the HELIPORT. Downtown Chicago is now getting hit HARD. I was supposed to drive Sniper to the airport tomorrow morning at 5am but he was just informed because of the storms here as well as the hurricane down in Texas right now, his flight is canceled. And here I thought I could finally get this guy outta my place! It's pretty frightening outside right now.

I think it WILL become an annual event. In fact, we have already talked about it and Sniper and I will be reserving an ACTUAL space this year for NEXT year, so that we;ll have an actual pavilion and seating for it all. I would say the turnout next year will hopefully be better, but in this case, we had enough fun with the ones that did show up, that we're not even going to fret about it. It was FUN. And Maverick! So about 7 APCers , joined by two SHO members and a member from Hollow Ground, convened under a BEAUTIFUL 80-degree, breezy day of grilling out and throwing around some bags and footballs. I'd like to thank SHO Goose and Maverick for coming out as well as IrshZ28 from \H/. It was REALLY cool to shake your hands and hang out with you all for a few hours. APCers present were Macoo, CZam, 46, Tool Minion, Sniper, Strick and me. CZam, Strick and Sniper head for more liquor....there was a lot of that this weekend. We were actually talking about this just last night after the UF meet. Honestly, we don't like the chatbox idea only because UF has HAD issues with chatboxes of OTHER clans. Some UF clan had members going to another UF clan's chatbox and writing obscenities and such, and then they both come to us asking to punish the other and stuff. It's really needless stuff. So basically, we just figure to keep the chatbox off the UF site. We'll always revisit the idea, only because Sniper and I are fans of the chatbox.....but they're very hard to regulate. Especially in an environment where respect and honor are hailed by most.

For those of you who will DEFINITELY be showing up to Saturday's UF meet at Caldwell Woods between 2pm and 8pm, please take this time to send me a PM letting me know. Again, this is only if you KNOW you will be present. Weather's improving and it looks to be about mid-80's on Saturday with sun and no rain. We'll have a small grill out there, bags for some sport and our good ol' senses of humor. Sniper and I will be there at 2pm on the dot. We WILL be putting up signs around our area......just look for the letters "UF" printed and piked up in the ground. We're looking VERY forward to a great time with you all. I actually can't wait until we hit 50. Cmdr. Fury and I have already been talking about it and we figured that for 50, we'll be compiling a "best of" episode so it'll be a cool memorable one for the books. Might be a little longer than the usual 9-13 minutes, too, just to accommodate everything.

Hmmmm....it DOES seem that every week there seems to be people that have trouble refreshing. To that, I don't know if I have any further advice. Glad you got to finally hear it, though.
