Attention all UF community players who signed up for RONIN but have not yet taken care of their entry donation: UF is asking that you take care of this BEFORE Friday evening. Getting the brackets made and coordinated will take some time and there are players here who are already ready to go. All invites were taken care of this past Sunday night so you will have been given a full week to get your fee in. It ultimately will NOT be cool if this tourney was green lit by the number of applicants but then UF takes a hit because those who promised to sign up either forget to finish up their entry process or they choose not to do it altogether. UF will still honor the agreement to run the tourneys and award the two prizes...but this could have serious ramifications if we do so taking a hit for the idea of running this type of tourney in the future. The following players have YET to take care of their entry fees as of LAST NIGHT, Wednesday. Fellow clan members, if you see a fellow player's name on this list, please give them a friendly nudge and let them know they only have two days left, if they have forgotten. If you believe your name is on this list in ERROR, please send a PM to Undertow. FOR RONIN SOCOM: [KOS]Nashvillan [KØS] -Disciple- [+30] PIMPTRESS [+30] CAV-SCOUT FOR RONIN COD4: jkillwil cBs_Warlock [+30] CAV-SCOUT [APC]HusH- [ThizZ]Neo_Unit001 Please don't hesitate any longer to finish your sign-up process. Thank you. - TOW

The 40Gs, as stated in the article, retail for $399....the same price as the newly slashed 80Gs in September. Looks like that Best Buy warranty I have is going to come in REAL handy for my 40G when, all of the sudden on the 1st of September......."I sowwy......but my shit don' seem ta be WORKIN'! I think I's need a new system!"

Ah hell, I'll jump in on this. 1:55am Good night.

Christian Bale is basically doing NO WRONG these days, isn't he?

Yup, that's definitely Jack Bauer!

I can't believe NONE of you have touched on the HORRIBLE fact that this little hottie.....this beautilicious babe......is DATING BRIAN AUSTIN GREENE! LOL I mean......wasn't he her age in the 80's doing 90210?!
-
I'm becoming more and more convinced that we may need to ban this guy for breaking nearly every no-homo sanction on the internet.
-
You'll have to PM me when you're in. I wouldn't miss it.

I hope he got to hear the podcast....?! If perhaps a member of Stormwatch wants to make sure he gets a download of it, I'm sure he'd love to hear the UF send-off he got.

LOL....screw that. We'll just have a GINORMOUS "UF CLAN" that puts ALL of us together against all the regulars out there....and then we'll feel good about ourselves all damn night. All our taunts would say "you just got pwned by Urgent Fury, biotches!" (And then we would give them the UF link) ;D I don't know....I can't make judgments on this YET, but 256 players?! I don't know. It's certainly going to be worth a LOOK...and there's nothing saying that a UF tourney couldn't be created for this game still utilizing a 32-man team or a 20-man team or something....so that it still stays "clan-active" here on the UF front. As more info comes out about this, we'll certainly keep an eye on it. As long as it's military, UF will ALWAYS give it an evaluation on how well it COULD work here.

I think Shrek and Hellboy should do a tag-team porn together with a midget brunette.

Hey there everyone.... We've gotten a lot of individuals who took care of their entry donation for their RONIN tourney the day that invites were sent out. We still have over half of the applicants who were sent invites still holding up on their entry donation. Please have this taken care of as soon as possible. If you are not in the tourney but one of your clansmen is and you see his payment has not yet been confirmed, please take a small bit of time to send them some type of reminder. The brackets and scheduling will be more crunched the longer everyone waits. Thank you.

There are times when the content of a U-Freq podcast gets cut in order to keep within a certain time constraint. If we could, we'd make these podcasts 20-30 minutes long...but with the production value that we put into it, ensuring it doesn't feel like some garage and utility tape operation, there's only so much we can do on a weekly basis. Even on this podcast from tonight, a spoof that was written about a long-standing clan here was left on the cutting room floor. However, my guess is that since C.Fury hadn't been on for some time now, there was a lot he wanted to get through in a limited amount of time. The spoof that was written for this episode may resurface as early as next week. Same thing with the UF: Tribe info, as I had hinted that U-Freq would have some tidbits on that. And again, it's just something we may save for next week. Besides...that would ruin the guessing game you guys have going on about UF: Tribe. Some of you are actually skirting closely around the truth in the last couple of days.

This really makes me sad.....an American STANDARD......going to BELGIUM? PHILADELPHIA/NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. brewer Anheuser-Busch Cos Inc (BUD.N)moved closer to a friendly, $50 billion takeover by Belgium-based InBev NV (INTB.BR), sources familiar with the situation said on Sunday. An announcement could be made as early as Sunday night for a deal that would create the world's largest beer maker, said the sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity. Negotiations could continue beyond Sunday, however, as many details were being tackled quickly, the sources cautioned. But the major issues regarding the price, board structure, and executive roles had largely been resolved, the sources said. InBev, the maker of Stella Artois, and Budweiser-brewer Anheuser declined to comment. A deal would bring an amicable resolution to a month-long saga that was becoming increasingly hostile as the two companies sued each other and InBev set the stage to try to replace Anheuser's board of directors. InBev had proposed its own slate of nominees for the board that included Adolphus Busch IV, an uncle of the current chief executive of Anheuser-Busch. InBev lured Anheuser to the bargaining table last week by raising its offer to $70 per share from $65 per share, a 27 percent premium over Anheuser's record-high stock price in October 2002. Shares of InBev and Anheuser surged on Friday as news of the higher offer and the negotiations emerged. Anheuser closed up 8.6 percent at $66.50, and InBev closed up more than 7 percent. The two companies and their advisers talked in New York over the weekend, working through details such as the name for the combined company, roles for Anheuser's executives and the structure of the board, the sources said. The breakup fees if the deal collapses also were discussed over the weekend, the sources said. "This deal is a cake, baked and ready to be taken from the oven. We wait only for the icing," said Tom Pirko, president of Bevmark, a beverage industry consulting firm based in California. "Let's get on with it." InBev had tried to soothe some of Anheuser's concerns last month, saying it would keep Anheuser's St. Louis, Missouri, home as the headquarters for the North American region. Anheuser's main Budweiser beer would also become the new company's "flagship brand." InBev also had said the new brewer's name would "evoke Anheuser-Busch's heritage," and some Anheuser directors would join the new board. InBev had promised to maintain all of Anheuser's U.S. breweries, but Anheuser wants InBev to make firm commitments to its largest U.S. distributors, one source said. Last week, the director of the Brewery and Soft Drink Workers Conference of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters asked to meet with InBev Chairman Peter Harf and InBev Chief Executive Carlos Brito, according to a letter posted on the union's Web site http://www.budwatch.com. Led by Chief Executive Carlos Brito, InBev is known for ruthless cost-cutting. The union, which represents workers at all 12 of Anheuser's U.S. breweries, asked for the meeting to discuss the initial offer so it could "fulfill our responsibilities to advise and protect our members." It was unclear if InBev and the union met. A takeover of iconic U.S. company Anheuser had sparked an outcry from some politicians, including Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. Any deal with Anheuser is complicated by its relationship with Mexico's No. 1 brewer, Grupo Modelo (GMODELOC.MX), which makes Corona, and 27 percent of China's Tsingtao Brewery Co Ltd (600600.SS). Modelo, already 50 percent owned by Anheuser, has the right to choose its partner and therefore has a role in the discussions of any acquisition of Anheuser-Busch. Modelo could not be reached for comment. Analysts have said that Modelo is likely to embrace InBev's bid for Anheuser and hopes the Belgian brewer proves to be a more dynamic and innovative partner than the biggest U.S. brewer. While Anheuser controls nearly half the U.S. market with brands like Budweiser, Bud Light and Michelob, InBev has strong positions in Western Europe and Latin America and is growing in Eastern Europe and Asia. InBev, which was formed by the 2004 merger of Belgium's Interbrew with Brazil's AmBev, is based in Belgium and run by a mostly-Brazilian management team.

The boards in which the players will communicate with their opponent in each RONIN tourney are now up. They are CHILD BOARDS here on the GENERAL PUBLIC FORUM section of the UF forum. You are NOT to create a new thread on that section. Your match, when ready, will be posted up as a new thread and in THAT thread, you are free to communicate with your opponent on the specifics of your match. You will only have DAYS to both coordinate AND play your match, so please be ready here at these forums. Thank you and the invites will be up later today. - TOW

This may be a hassle, but it may be doable. It would have to be made CLEAR on the Paypal note which players are being taken care of in this manner.

Yes but I would be Eddie Murphy because he's cool and you would be Nick Nolte because he's a drunk.
