  1. come on, don't make me think of that guy. Just thinking about him makes me laugh, lol "Yooohoooo......can I watch ya stretch out those juicy hamstrings?"
  2. I TOLD you it wasn't me. And Apoc, you're a weirdo.
  3. LOL, oh you can ALWAYS use a knife. In this game, if you're slow enough to let someone get THAT close to you, you deserve to get stuck.
  4. I like the single player. I'm not liking the online thus far. I'm with you on the SOCOM angle. I had a discussion with some of APC on the APC forum about how much fun they're having in the "lobby" of GTAIV because you can run around and do whatever the hell you want in the city with your friends. That was the part I DIDN'T like. I had to explain that I LIKE having an objective. I LIKE having team work and communication used to beat an enemy...and they were wondering why I wasn't having ANY fun in the multi-player lobby wait. It's because everyone wasn't saying shit. It was just a bunch of senseless laughing over running someone over or shooting someone while they're still TRYING to figure out every button and control. It just kind of reminded me of a bunch of hippie-gimps that got locked in the basement and all of the sudden grandma opened the door and threw a steak and some building blocks down there....and the gimps went ape-shit over it. No talking, no comm, just a bunch of incoherent exclamations. I'm all for fun....but I have plenty of fun in a tactical sense, I guess. I like my time spent online gaming to have a focus, a point, an objective. I'm not downing them or anyone who likes it so far. Just illustrating why I don't like the lobby system....and it's the ONLY portion of the online game I could see, so I can't comment on the other stuff.
  5. Check it out. Some of them are cool, some look a little cheesy, though I think they will all come out looking pretty smooth when the film is laid over them all. And the females......... http://www.herorealm.com/hrboards/index.php?topic=2075.0

  7. doesn't everyone come from a vagina? Yes. It wasn't a cut-down. I just wanted to type the word vagina, and your post seemed as good an "opening" as any. ;D
  8. And it MIGHT just be a pretty durn good tourney too..... ;D
  9. LOL...this guy asked for a sig and then fell off the face of the earth. Is he buying apples?

    who is....

    oh snap
  11. Eh, I did not like my first experience with this game ONLINE. Accepted invites to get online with friends. All we were doing was standing around some lobby shooting each other, so I couldn't really get a handle on the controls. Then I get booted and freeze out. Then I can't accept invites. Then I get back in and we can't get into games. Then we go back to a lobby where someone says we can just do this all night. Then I log off. LOL Hopefully the servers get improved however they plan to do it. I'm sure it's all the traffic, but if there's so much traffic, I don't know why it's so hard to get a game going. Controls were a little tight for me. I like the looseness and the quickness of the CoD4 controls, personally. Everything kind of felt excruciatingly slow. I thought hit detection was a pain in the ass as well, unless it really does take 5-10 shots from an assault rifle to put someone down who is about 20 feet away. I don't know. I will say that the game looks pretty and I may give more time to the single player version that the multi-player for now. Maybe at least til they get the servers better. I know my opinion will change with time spent with the game and all, but I seriously had a sour taste in my mouth after ten minutes and logged off, kinda pissed I jumped on the bandwagon and bought this game like everyone else. I should have tried it first. I turned it off thinking I may have wasted my money. But like I said, I'm sure my opinion may eventually change. This was just the first time I turned off a new game the first night having that queasy "I just wasted money" feeling. It was odd.
  12. a Limey is someone from Liverpool And Germans are from vaginas. So what....? ;)
  13. We definitely have plans for this, Puddy. We do see some Black and Crucible clans come and go quite quickly sometimes, after they see that UF may not be what they're looking for. What we do tend to see, though, are that the clans involved in our longer-running TACMAP tourneys are usually the clans that have discussed UF and like it and want to stay. Those are going to be the types of clans we'll most likely do things with for the podcast. Podcast time is precious and it's, well....it's just pretty damn cool to be ON it. That being said, we don't want to put the effort towards a clan that may be gone in a month when their eval tourney's done, you know? But don't worry....there are plans.
  14. Those lousy drunks? Nah. And if we did, we couldn't call them Irish Christians because that is the proper term and not their terrorist name like "radical Islamists." We'd have to call them "Upset Limeys" or something.
  15. Yes, first and second place WILL get their entry fee refunded. Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiith...................something else.
  16. UF is adding on the bells and whistles of the official Riot Act TACMAP throughout this and next week. Today, we've updated the TACMAP so that the NAMES of the different territories can be turned off for easier viewing of the borderlines of all the standing territories. This will help when clans are seeing which territories they can attack from their own. The LEGEND at the lower left has also been updated to show the twenty clans that will be attributed numbers for the tacmap (in the past, we used colors which would make the TACMAP look like a bastard patchwork quilt baby). There are links inside the legend that are not yet active, but in the coming days, will have many features you can reach by clicking on them. And by the way, I really hate typing the word "territory." It's just awkward. But there's no shortening it. I want to just call them "Terries," but I once dated a girl named Terri....and she left a scar......so I don't wanna call them "Terries." LOL So ANYWAY.....GO CHECK IT OUT!
  17. If you feel the need to use the PM system here immediately, it may behoove you to have your clan switch clan tags here on the forum to [H] or [-H-] or something until the problem is resolved, IF it CAN be resolved.
  18. Hmmmmmmmmm....now THERE'S an idear! LOL Naw, we'd never go down that path. We've stripped down the Crucible and Black tourneys for a reason....because they are free. And even AFTER Sniper and I decided that Crucibles and Blacks would be free and operated ONLY on the forums here, we still couldn't let that become a standard and STILL input with Crucible and Black website pages with standings and brackets, along with story content. It's just the striving perfectionists we are. TACMAP tourneys, on the other hand, are nothing BUT time consuming....from creation time to game time. It's a service, people. Not so much a sweepstakes, but a service. You head to Great America, you pay your fee, you go ride on the American Eagle and get your screams out, and the ride is done. You don't walk off the roller coaster yelling "so what do I get because I didn't fall off?!" You paid for the thrill, you got your ride, the transaction is complete. We liken that analogy to a UF TACMAP tourney. We built the roller coaster, we save you the seat, and we allow you to scream to the top of your lungs! (Though usually it's because you got killed while you were reloading instead of us sending you plummeting 20 stories on an old rickety wooden roller coaster )
  19. I have already discussed this issue with Sniper because I already noticed that members of \H/ would send me PMs but I could not respond to them in a reply. Through my conversations with Audacious when we were considering him for a Staff position, everything had to be done on the APC forums where this problem does not exist. Sniper and my best explanation for this is simply that there's something within this forum design that doesn't like the symbols "[" and "\" next to one another. We're aware of the problem and are taking the steps we can to try and solve it. Until then, you will have to be patient with us.
  20. Frisco, if you can't do it, you can't do it. I don't think THIS much analyzation needs to go into it, right? You're actually confusing the **** outta me.
  21. Cool.....maybe next time then we can just put up a thread title like "Question on Riot Act" instead of something sort of dubious sounding like "Riot Act...HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM" If you end up signing up, we hope you enjoy it.
  22. It's not something that's escaped us, Tip-Toe....and thank you very much for thinking so. We do what we can to contact them and make them aware of what we accomplish here in UF, and what we hope to STILL accomplish. However, that's why we always (sheepishly) always say "PASS THE WORD ON!" If you love this tourney and WANT to see it grow, help is NEVER turned down. Yell it on their forums. Write it on contact emails to them. Talk about it with gamers online. Here at Urgent Fury, two Creators and eight Staff Members do what we can to spread the word as best we can.....but we DO have a rather larger "army" here in the UF Community....and we never turn down help. Again....thanks for the words. We, too, are ANXIOUSLY awaiting the release of SOCOM. More than you know. You might be able to tell when we're releasing the very first TACMAP tourney for it by the end of the year.
  23. Thanks for answering the questions, guys. I was a little surprised, not offended, at the questioning....only because I thought we laid it out pretty clearly. LOL If the newest TACMAP that we put up didn't answer the question of whether or not Riot Act was the new "Tacmap Tourney," then I don't know WHAT was gonna! LOL And just to clarify, Tip-Toe...... Black didn't "follow" UF: Prisoner of War. If anything, it's the other way around. Black is the EVALUATION tourney for UF's SOCOM. Crucible is the EVALUATION tourney for UF's CoD4. Crucible-X is the EVALUATION tourney for UF's CoD4 for Xbox. ALL of those are evaluations on clans for their POTENTIAL inclusion into any TACMAP tourneys we provide here at Urgent Fury. As we said in the sign-up section.....JUST BECAUSE your clan is willing to pay $25 for the action of a TACMAP tourney DOESN'T mean you're going to get in. That would do a HUGE disservice to all the other clan in it if we invited a clan we didn't know too much about and they ended up ruining the tourney for everyone else. We will FIRST send out invites to those who signed up who meet the following criteria: 1: They MUST have completed an evaluation tour of UF here first. 2: They MUST have done so in keeping good standing here within the UF community. Read that as playing all wars respectfully, win or lose, and having good character in-game and on these forums. 3: Must have enough clansmen to potentially go through all 13 weeks so that they do not rob their competition of some really good and intense games. After that, and if they are invited, then they pay the fee to enter into one HELL of a tourney. Hopefully that clears some webs for you and also lets you know that just because we've instituted a (long overdue) fee for our tacmap tourneys DOESN'T mean we're sacrificing the quality of the clans IN the tourney. - TOW
