THINGS THAT SUCK..... In a PRIVATE MATCH, you cannot turn perks OFF. I mean, you CAN....but the perks stay on. I hosted a room tonight with APC and \H/ and in it, I disabled perks and ran with my double-submachine gun class....and I still had BOTH guns when I should not have in the game. When the host leaves, the room still collapses....not sure, though, if that was supposed to be addressed in this patch. This throws a HUGE wrench into the "no-perks" layout of the upcoming UF Crucible-2! We were running NO-PERKS and allowing the ONE default grenade in Crucible-2 to cut down on the mistake grenade kills in the former no-boom tourney. With this problem in the patch, we may be forced to go back to absolutely NO boom again, as in the first Crucible......which may see some problems arise again.

I'm not pointing you out individually here, Nomic....but what's typed above IS sort of what we're talking about here in a roundabout way. The fact that people/society in GENERAL "don't care" what you do with your life or whatever....as long as it ain't hurtin' them. But there is a divisive line where we respect people's privacy AND where we try and produce an outlook that has the FUTURE in our best interests. People today think they won't be here forever, and they're right, and perhaps that's a contributing factor to why people don't care too much nowadays on how what we do and what we don't do SHAPE our future generations. I do not know how I will be remembered after I die. It's something I think about all the time. It's why I instruct at a college level instead of a lower one, because I would like to have a better impact on someone's outlook and values. It's why I write comics and books, because they'll be around after I die. But still, I do not know how or if I will be remembered, or how I will be remembered as. What I WOULD like to be involved in, however, is in the general judgment that at the END of it all.....ALL of it.....the human race was a good one. That we ended on a good note. Not that we started out great and then self-discovered ourselves and our technological potential to the point where we did not know ANYONE or could not communicate with ANYONE at the time of our final demise.

Sure looks that way, buddy boy! UF is ONE Community, not a bunch. We just have different neighborhoods. ;D

Not that the War Report is needed....YET.....but the official rules of Crucible-X are now up in its own section on the forum. They do not differ much from the UF Crucible rules for PS3 with exception to minor changes. These will also help acclimate new clans arriving for Crucible-X....so now that they're up, start spreading the word! There will not be a tournament without its players! - TOW

Hey Hey, now thats what I'm talking about They DO read! LOL

People have simply become their own islands, not quite caring about the passing ships. They think "why respect or try to impress the ships when they'll be out of my sight in 10 seconds?" The thing that almost EVERYONE....EVERYONE forgets is that......to BE respected, you need to HAVE respect. The vicious cycle starts when someone who is constantly disrespectful thinks that they GET no respect (duh!) and they, in turn, figure they'll be like everyone else.....when in reality, they are truly the start of the circle of callousness. As this trend in society continues, where not just STRANGERS begin to alienate strangers, but FAMILY begin to alienate strangers, the world in the future will be a VERY cold and lonely place as you get older...and getting older is truly when you need the most company and comfort.

No shit. I still call anyone older than me Sir or Mam. It's how I was raised. As far as Pong, well the comparisons ARE equal, as your kids (IF you ever get laid ) will think PS3 was probably so stupid and arcane that you HAD to have been bored. They will see it the same as you do now. Think about it. Yeah, I was married for 9 years.....together for a total of 16 years. Never ONCE did I call my in-laws by their names. For 16 straight years, I called them ma'am and sir, with the utmost respect. I'm 33 and I'll still do that with anyone my elder today. It's not a generational thing about how we talk to people, Medux....it's PURELY a respect (or lack thereof) thing. And in the end....and this is just disappointing.....it's just because some people just don't know any better.

Repetition in advertising. They're just hitting some new strides in their goals and trying to make their way, very similar to what UF has done and continues to do. Basically..... ....they're just a squirrel.... ........trying to get a nut.............. ;D

Little boy.....they're talking about pussy. LMFAO!! I don't care who you are, that shit right there is funny. God, I forgot I posted that until I read this..... ........I must been in some state that night. LOL

And with THAT, I leave this forum to the UF Staff for Xbox360.....LOL

If your friend likes this one, just have him save it to his computer and not use this link directly for too long so that I don't have to keep the image in my computer. If he doesn't dig it, no worries. I just popped in here to see what was going on and I happen to like Star Wars.

I'm not an Xbox player.....just passing along info I came along to you guys over here.

Welcome back, buddy. Thought I saw you on here earlier. Yeah, there's been a LOT shakin' here at UF so soak it all in. We're rolling sign-ups for the new Crucible-2 and Black V tourneys, ending at the end of this month. We're gearing up, as I type this, for releases of Xbox's Crucible-X for CoD4 as well as UF: Riot Act, the first TACMAP tourney for CoD4 for the PS3. We're now featured on the Dv8 News webcast you can now find at http://www.dv8news.com We're just going through the brand spankin' NEW forum design here and everyone seems to favor it over the old one. We're putting the final touches on the design work for the new UF T-sh.......ooops. Went a little ahead of myself there.

Sourced from the Dv8 forum Xbox 360 patch for Call of Duty 4 passed certification by the weekend, and started hitting consoles near you this morning. For those of you wondering what’s been changed, a full list of the newness is: New Kill Cams - Everything that can kill you has a Kill Cam now. Grenades, Airstrikes, Claymores, C4, M203 Rounds, RPGs, anything. So jump online, get owned alittle and check them out. They’re awesome, especially Grenades and M203 shots that go across the map and through a window. Host Migration - Host migration was added, so now when the host leaves you won’t get dropped back to your own lobby by yourself. Everyone will stay together. Host Leaves, everyone returns to lobby, selects next best host, and the game starts up again. No more re-inviting, re-partying up because a host ended the game. Improved Sniper Accuracy - The Sniper rifle accuracy has been improved. No more, WTF? shots now. Your cross hair will be a better representation of where your shot will ultimately land. Try out a sniper class today, let us know how the new accuracy feels. Improved ACOG Scope Accuracy - ACOG scopes accuracy on any weapon has been improved. Test it out, throw it on one of your classes and give it a go. Upgraded Spectator Cam - Now when you’re a spectator you have the option to follow in 3rd person or 1st person. As well as rotate 360 degrees around the player you’re watching. Next time you’re dead in Search and Destroy and just watching your team mates do stuff you know you can do better, now do it in 1st person or rotate around them. Quick Mute Option - Now you can easily and quickly mute players in-game or in-lobby without ever going through the Xbox Live blades. Just go to their gamertag on screen and hit ‘A’ to quick mute in lobby, or via the in-game scoreboard if playing. Quick. Easy. Salvation! In addition to these feature additions there will also be: Improved Network Performance For Larger Games - 18 player games now require more bandwidth to host, resulting in smoother performance for players. Optimized Server Selection for First Match - Server selection is now optimized to select best bandwidth servers associated by LSP. Fixed “Playlist Older Than Host†Error - Player will no longer get this error when entering games. Additional Start Spawn Locations in All Maps - Added a minimum of 9 extra start spawns on each side of all maps. Jump online, test out the new kill cams and features, and as always let me know what you think. We’re also going to be playing around with new playlists in the near future so I’ll keep you updated on those changes as they come. Hey everyone..... The people over at Dv8 News have been generous enough to outfit Urgent Fury with its OWN section on their gaming forum. Please do us, and them, the honor of registering there and checking it out. Let all passer-by clans who take the time to check it out know what caliber of clans populate this community. We're all proud of the community we maintain here...and we SHOULD be. We're a fine bunch! http://forums.dv8news.com/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=190 Dv8 delivers, yet again, another stroke of support for this tournament site and we'd like to return the favor by presenting a PRESENCE on the playground they've outfitted us with. I hope I will see some of our UF freaks over there. - TOW

LOL........NO. We'll see what we can do about it.

Listen "kid," (and I mean that literally, but jokingly) We DID have stuff like that back in the day. PONG was actually something installed into old television sets with DIALS on it and you could play it without the use of a console. We didn't have iPods, but we had walkmans and Discmans, and back then, those were pretty "advanced" for the day and age. And we STILL went outside.....LOL. Not just indoors. I don't think you're qualified to put much input into the yesteryear side of the conversation here, Medux, unless you're just giving us the one-sided generational viewpoint...which is a little short-sighted for the overall "through the ages" conversation going on here, how technology of TODAY is crippling the dynamics of YESTERDAY'S family for TOMORROW. And just so everyone knows, we will be embracing Home. As Hippie said, we WILL have a UF-HQ that will hold the meetings online and everything, and we're looking forward to that. The main focus of this, though, is how the people IN GENERAL (that means not YOU, not ME, not HIM, but the general, overall populace) will (and HAVE) be affected by technology essentially REPLACING our d-e-s-i-r-e to communicate with one another on a very personal, integral level. OR, I could simply type that as: IMO, ur not gonna remember how 2 properly comm like normal ppl should.

Okay, people......same drill! We're nearing the final two weeks of sign-ups for Black V and Crucible-2! We will have plans for every clan signing up for either one, so do not fear that you will bring in too many clans and they will get YOUR invite! This is an evaluation tourney and we plan on including everyone in on the fun. Black V could use a few more to get a bracket going (you Socom survivors.....you wanted Black V, so bring out the competition!), and Crucible-2 could use a few more to get two divisions going much like we had for the first tour. We have two weeks and our UF Staff is hard at work at bringing them in. Dv8 News has helped a bit in this endeavor as well. Now we turn to the clans that make up UF. Let's bring 'em in, people! If you're playing with a good clan online, drop the UF-bomb on 'em!

Desmond and Aaron wouldn't be considered Oceanic Six survivors as neither of them would be listed on the flight's manifest. And please, let's not get into a discussion as to whether Claire's FETUS constitutes a human being or not....this is not that kind of forum! LOL I'm simply stating that Aaron is not technically listed on the manifest. And Locke and them? They all felt the PULSE....I don't think they're going to have a CHOICE in staying or not. I think they will all die. But again, this theory I heard....it's pretty sound.
-
We're discussing Home, but I do think they're all interconnected. Home will make sure of that.
-
Neither does a simple game like Call of Duty 4, yet there are people who log into this game for 4-7 hours a DAY each day of the week. And this is just a one-title game. That's just the tip of the iceberg when considering a life-instilling concept like Home to a generation of jacked-in gamers and internet-philes.

So this is mainly for Lost fans out there....and I'm not talking about casual viewers, but fans....maybe even borderline rabid watchers. I ran into a VERY interesting theory by another viewer who explained to me everything I'm about to tell you. Now, I like watching shows, and I'm not one to continually speculate on what is, what was and what is all may be. Shows like Lost and Twin Peaks that spawned a legion of conspiracy theorists just entertained me, they never gripped me like that. I enjoy them, but I don't sit back and talk about them all the time. I'm usually resigned to "yeah, it was a cool episode" or "man, last week moved really slow for me." LOL Well, for those of you watching Lost up-to-CURRENT (this means if you are NOT, do NOT read any further, as there are **SPOILERS**), then you're well aware of the Oceanic Six, as everyone is now "flash-forwarding" instead of us looking at flashbacks, and they seem to allude to the fact that only SIX survived from the original crashed flight. So far, we've seen that Jack, Kate, Hurley, Saied, Sun and Jin survived (even though just last week it showed that Jin was buried in the ground, though I believe that he died after getting back home rather than dying on the island). We still YET have to see one more. Now, this guy I was talking to says he knows WHY they're all the Oceanic Six, apart from them just being some of the MAIN stars of the show. He said this (I'm only amazed at the amount of time said person, and other friends of his put into this): The Oceanic Six were all the cast members who were NOT on the island when Desmond set off the hatch key and sent the electromagnetic pulse all around the island. If you remember, Kate, Jack and Sawyer were taken hostage by Ben (remember Michael delivered them so he and Walt could get off the island). They were taken off the island and onto a different island. Hurley was sent back to camp, though he set off on a boat with Saied, Jin and Sun to go wait for Jack's smoke signal to rescue them. Everyone ELSE was on the island, and when the pulse went off, everyone "felt" it. The ones listed above were not on the island, not affected by this pulse, hence, they survive whatever lies in wait in their future. Though we see Ben alive in a flash-forward talking with Saied, it doesn't matter, because he was never on the Oceanic flight so he's not counted as part of the "six." Which leaves one left to figure out.....as we only know 5 right now who are alive in the future: Kate, Jack, Hurley, Sun and Saied....... It could be Michael, as he was off the island on his own boat with his son when the pulse went off, though he's now on the freighter off-shore from the island. Does HE survive in the future? It could be Sawyer, as he was prisoner with Kate and Jack, and according to the above hypothesis, he could be the sixth Oceanic survivor. OR is it Jin, who survives the journey home but dies of some circumstances while home? Perhaps his death had nothing to do with the island? Anyway......the guy was intriguing and his hypothesis seemed to hold SOME water, though he was belting out names of minor characters like it was nothing and I had to concentrate really hard to make sure I could follow him. Anyway, love to hear what some of you, viewers, that is, have to say about what I wrote above. I simply thought it was interesting.
