I'm with you Prane. Washington is now a playoff team. They are pulling some strings and finally improving on the offensive side. They get a Pro Bowl QB for a 2nd rounder. That's a great trade for them. I think McNabb and Shanahan's Offense will make Santana Moss the Santana Moss of old. Terrible move for the Eagles. You don't get much in value and you have now dealt the face of your franchise to a division rival. You can bet he's going to bring his A game twice a year to stick it to the Eagles when they play.

The Philadelphia Eagles have reached agreement on a blockbuster intra-division trade that will send perennial Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins, according to multiple sources close to the situation. The two sides still must finalize language, but McNabb is now headed to Washington. Sources said the deal involved the Redskins' second-round pick in the 2010 draft and either a third- or fourth-round pick next year, depending on several factors. The move means the Redskins now have a new starting quarterback and the Eagles have a new one as well in Kevin Kolb. Michael Vick is now in line as the team's backup. Earlier, sources said McNabb's contract, which has one year and $11.2 million left on it, scared off several other teams. McNabb is due a $6.2 million roster bonus on May 5 and is scheduled to become a free agent after the 2010 season. At the league meetings, head coach Andy Reid said the Eagles were listening to offers for all three quarterbacks, including 11-year veteran McNabb, who quickly said on his Web site that he wanted a quick resolution to the trade conversations. Adam Schefter is ESPN's NFL Insider.

Well with the season kicking off tonight, let's hear everyone's predictions. Here are mine (** denotes wildcard): AL Central: 1. Twins 2. White Sux 3. Tigers 4. Royals 5. Indians AL East: 1. Yankees 2. Rays** 3. Red Sox 4. Orioles 5. Blue Jays AL West: 1. Mariners 2. Angels 3. Rangers 4. A's AL MVP: I'm going Evan Longoria. He will power the Rays to the Wild Card or perhaps the division. AL Cy Young: This is King Felix's year. Grienke will be hard pressed to reproduce his 2009 numbers. CC comes in a close second to Felix this year. AL Rookie of the Year: Brian Matusz. Sick stuff, though playing for the O's will hurt his win total. Also keep an eye on Wade Davis AL Manager of the Year: Don Wakamatsu hands down. If the Mariners produce on the field like they should and win the West, he is an easy choice. Don't count out Joe Maddon and his Rays if they take home the Wild Card. AL Comeback player of the year: I am going Josh Hamilton, though Ben Sheets definitely has the ability to win this award. The only thing keeping me from giving him the nod over Hamilton is nobody knows where Sheets will end up at the end of the year, as Billy Beane will likely deal him when the A's are out of contention, and when will the injury bug hit him again? A sleeper pick for the award is David Ortiz. --------------------------------------- NL Central: 1. Cubbies 2. Cardinals 3. Brewers 4. Reds 5. Astros 6. Pirates NL East: 1. Phillies 2. Braves ** 3. Marlins 4. Mets 5. Nationals NL West: 1. Rockies 2. Giants 3. Dodgers 4. D-Backs 5. Padres NL MVP: Albert Pujols...again. It's foolish to bet against him. I think Tulowitzki presents the best chance for an upset. It's tough to pick Hanley when his team won't be in the playoffs, Tulo's will. NL Cy Young: Call me crazy, but I'm going Halladay. He's going to put up numers very similar to what Sabathia put up in 2008 with the Brewers, extrapolated to a full season of coarse. Lincecum finishes a close second and Matt Cain is a sleeper pick. NL Rookie of the Year: Jason Heyward. The kid can rake and he has the positive and humble attitude a young player needs to succeed. Strasburg won't be in this race, even if he does put up great numbers, due to his debut not being until June 1st at the earliest. Alcides Escobar is a solid sleeper pick if Heyward falters. He has Jose Reyes type potential. NL Manager of the Year: Bobby Cox. The Braves pull off a Wild Card spot in a tough race against the Giants, Dodgers, Cardinals, and Marlins. How can you not vote for Cox in his final season, bringing NL Comeback player of the year: I'm going with Troy Glaus. If this spring is any indication, he's in tip top shape. He'll be moving to 1st Base, so hopefully he can avoid the injuries that have plagued him. The Braves love what they got in Glaus and he'll thrive there. If Cole Hamels returns to form, he is also a contender for the award.

Question about tethering with the iPhone
o-BacklasH-o replied to o-BacklasH-o's topic in General Discussion
Thanks everyone for your help. I figured it out with the help of a friend. I cannot believe how FAST it is to jailbreak the iPhone now. Took literally 15 seconds, that's insane lol. I was then able to enable Internet Tethering and it's working great right this moment. -
Just received a text from ESPN: Mortensen: New OT proposal for playoffs approved (each team gets possession if 1st team kicks a FG). So far it's only for the playoffs, hopefully they amend it for the regular season too.

Question about tethering with the iPhone
o-BacklasH-o replied to o-BacklasH-o's topic in General Discussion
I just tried that and when I went to download the AT&T version it gave me a "invalid profile error." Any suggestions? -
Gotta love the demotivational pictures. We have an ongoing thread on our forums too. I'm going to borrow these as I have never seen any of them before lol.

What I want to do basically is tether internet from my 3GS iPhone to my netbook. The only reason I want to do this is I have a big money league draft on the 31st for Fantasy Baseball and it starts at the same time my night class does...There isn't a WAP close enough to the room, I've explored that option before. The only route would be to buy a satellite internet card which would cost a pretty penny or I could just tether from my iPhone. I remember hearing people online saying they do this all the time on the road and whatnot. How do you do it? Will it cost me a service charge? I'd just do the draft from my iPhone, but it doesn't properly display the draft board on the screen.

Haha indeed, Happy Paddy's Day all! I may be 100% Italian, but everybody loves Paddys day. I spent this whole past weekend in a drunken coma, including drinking Saturday from 7 am until blackout sometime in the evening. Great times. I'll crack open a brew right now, cheers Lucky! Oh I almost forgot: TWO MORE DAY'S UNTIL ST. JOSEPH'S DAY!

In addition to trading Quinn to the Broncos, the Browns have made another deal. They have dealt LB Kamerion Wimbley to the Raiders for undisclosed draft compensation.
-
Just in: Broncos acquire QB Brady Quinn from the Browns for FB Peyton Hillis, a 6th round pick in 2011, and a conditional pick.

Churchy let's give Jones some credit. He was a solid back with subpar Bears O-Lines and a great locker room guy. He just isn't part of the youth movement that the Jets want, though Leon is getting up there now. Fun fact for the day, Leon Washington was part of UF Tac Map 1 champion Capital Punishment. This was while playing at FSU.
