    I would love to see Peppers in a Bears uniform, but who knows. It's going to cost a pretty penny to bring him in. I'd like to see Aaron Kampmann come in if we don't get Peppers. He'd be moving back to end where he was a FREAK. The concern with Kampmann is his age and the knee injury, but he's a low cost/low risk signing. Alex Brown has already pushed for Kampmann, so we'll see. Both are 30 years old, with Peppers obviously being more healthy. ESPN was reporting tampering charges might be filed against the Bears because they met with Peppers' agent. There's no way they will prove a contract was discussed, much like with Albert Haynesworth and the 'Skins last year. I too would love to see the Bears make a play for Marshall, Prane. We never draft well in the 1st round anyhow or trade our 1st round picks away on draft day. The only 1st round picks that have really worked out over the past decade are Urlacher, Harris (well kind of), and Olsen. I heard it put best though, for a 1st round WR will you get such a sure fire player as Marshall, whom is only 25 himself? No. Teams are stupid not to go after him for a 1st rounder, especially if they intend(ed) on using that pick on a receiver (that includes Dez Bryant). The only issue with him is attitude, but he's no where near a T.O. type. I'm still hoping I get a text message from ESPN at 12:05 AM "The Bears have signed DE Julius Peppers."

    I applaud the actions of this teacher, excellent job! On the other hand I think you need to pump the breaks a tad Dade. I really CANNOT stand that people want to take guns away from LAW ABIDING citizens like myself, because mentally unstable and/or gang members use them in crimes. This person should have NEVER had access to a firearm if he had "a history of mental illness." That is why the F.O.I.D. (Firearms Owner Identification) card is a decent system in Illinois, despite all the anti-gun laws this state tries to sneak by the public they have something there. I wish other states would employ the card (which is required to purchase firearms/ammunition within the state of Illinois). You have to apply for the card and only those of sound mental state and clean background are approved. I just simply get so fed up that politicians and misinformed anti-gun groups are trying to strip the 2nd Amendment right from those who have done nothing wrong. I hunt for leisure and profession, if the State were to put a ban on guns I would move. End of story. If guns were outlawed in the US (which will NEVER happen), I'd move to Canad-uh. That's how adamant I am about what I do. The fact that the article used the phrase "hunting rifle" will, no doubt, add further scrutiny to the hunting community.

    Just saw the trailer on HBO. Looks really intriguing. Tom Hanks and Speilberg are the Executive Producers, so it should be solid. Begins March 14th.

    But the Nets don't present a championship caliber team in the near future, UNLESS they bring in one or two of the big 3 OR 1 of the big 3 and another top notch free agent.

    So where do you see all 3 landing? I'd REALLY love to see either LeBron or Wade coming to Chicago, but I'd settle on Bosh too. We have roughly 18-21 mil under the cap next year, so we can offer a max contract to any one of the 3 (and have room for some role players too). I absolutely LOVE the moves the Bulls made at the deadline. We didn't compromise any of our youthful core of players and still dumped a lot of salary for next year. Listen, I know a lot of fellow Bulls fans loved T2 (Tyrus Thomas), but he is a headcase and I don't think he'd of ever became a legitimate player in Chicago. That said, best wishes in Charlotte and we have more cap space lol. I liked Salmons a lot last year, but it became highly evident this year he was a locker room cancer and not a long-term player if we want to be serious contenders. More cap space cleared. Why wouldn't any of those big 3 WANT to play here? Any of the 3 alongside a budding all-star in Rose, the finally blossoming Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson, and Deng would be FIERCE. I just cannot express in words how thrilled I am with the Bulls moves. We do not get any better or worse for this season, while dumping a lot of salary and a headache moving forward. We are playoff bound this year again, but not Finals bound. Ultimately I believe we will land Wade. The guy is a Chicago native, has a house here, family here, and said he WANTS to play here. What else is there to know lol? I think with Wade in a Bulls uniform we are instantly SERIOUS contenders in the 2010-11 season. If Wade re-signs (which I don't foresee happening) we will pursue LeBron and/or Bosh. LeBron is pretty much a pipe-dream, so let's get real and say either Wade or Bosh will be sporting a Bulls uniform next year. I like that. I honestly see LeBron going to New York as has been rumored all along, although I won't rule out him staying in Cleveland. Bosh is a crapshoot really and it's hard to predict where he will wind up. Bank on this much though, I think that 2 of the 3 will be in Chicago and NY, possibly all 3 in those 2 cities. Btw I just got courtside tix to Bulls-Hawks March 1st, so I'm in a GREAT mood!

    HR considering the source of that link is a lesser known gaming site, I wouldn't take much stock in that release date. No way they will hold off on announcing it until E3 then release the game 3 months later. 2011 is the year of real Socom returning. Bank on it.

    LOL I was up too for the earthquake. I was watching Grandma's Boy on my PS3 with my Tritton Headset. All the sudden the whole couch was rumbling and I honestly was like "damn did I just break the couch, I need to lose weight." Then I took off my headset and knew instantly it was an earthquake. We had a few over the past 5 years that you could feel. This one registered at 3.8 originating in Elgin.

    Ugh. This is what our franchise has come to in 2010? No big name coordinators want to come in and coach under Lovie, who's seat is on fire going into this season. So instead we get a toss up in Martz and Marinelli as a last resort as our Coordinators. I believe the words he used "I'd love to take the job if it fell to me." Yeah it fell to you, all the way at the bottom of the candidate list. Nonetheless, I'll still stay optimistic. It's just becoming harder and harder this offseason. The way I see it is if it doesn't work out, the house will be cleaned after next season anyhow. I'd like to see some big free agent splashes, but I doubt they'll break the bank this offseason with the coaching staff on the hot seat.
