So your sayin' $120 per game is worth it?!! I don't know about you, but I would not be able to afford to pay $120 per game, especially this year. I get a lot of different games mainly for their online component. For example, I have both MAG and Modern Warfare 2 reserved. That is just two games I know I will be getting this year, there will probably be a couple more. So I should pay $240 a year to get online with these games?!! No friggin' way! That would be the end of my online gaming if all of the Dev's were allowed to do that. So no, its not worth it at all IMO to pay these Dev's a yearly stipend. But I would not have a problem if Sony wanted to start charging to get online like the XBOX does. I don't have an XBOX, but from what I gather is that XBOX Live is a helluva lot better than the Playstation Network. A constant clean server with no glitchers on it? Constant updates and dwls of new maps and equipment?...you say. I say let Sony make sure that this is being taking care of on games that play on their system. Again, I would pay a yearly fee to the PSN to ensure that. -

How so..?Does Modern Warfare have something exclusive on xbox..!? (PSN got the maps too right.?) Maybe "exclusive" was the wrong word, your right. But definitely a huge priority over the other systems. I'm just sayin'...money talks, and PS3 bullshit walks. Believe me, I'd drop $50 a year for equal treatment on big cross platform games. Modern Warfare 2 map packs hitting Xbox Live first Modern Warfare 2 has officially joined the somewhat exclusive Microsoft DLC club. Infinity Ward's relentless first-person shooter will offer downloadable map packs (duh!), the first two of which will launch first on Xbox Live. The news came via Microsoft's E3 press, where Microsoft's John Schappert was keen to emphasize that the Xbox 360 version would lead the way in Modern Warfare 2's online component. Which, with any luck, will be heavy on the snowmobile combat. Snowmobile combat! -

I think both systems are great, let me start with that. But, does paying a fee actually make games run better? Or does that lie solely on the Dev's? I mean, in reference to SOCOM, I don't think it has anything to do with a lack of a subscription fee. This game was released without being completed. That and they are more focused on the PSP game than the PS3 version. I honestly think they have thrown in the towel. At least after 1.50 is released. But, I will give you that a monthly subscription fee does get better exclusivity. Modern Warfare is proof of that. But paying a fee game by game, would be bullshit. Thank God all of these rumors are just that, rumors. -
I would get the picture frames if I could use it in my clubhouse. Or if they were cheaper. I'm with you WAR_PIG, I personally think Home is a great addition to the PS3. We use Home clubhouse for clan meetings.

I'm sad to read this news. I learned so much from this site, I cannot begin to tell you. I think I can say I went from computer noob to computer novice, thanks to this community. I've made a lot of friends over the years, and I hope this continues with its new owners. Thanks again Undertow and Sniper, I'm truly glad I had the opportunity to meet you guys in person and put a few back. Hopefully we will be able to do it again. Thanks again!

Man charged in motorcyclist's death The motorcyclist mentioned is my friend. Close enough that I considered him my brother. I just went to the funeral today. What is not mentioned in the article is that he just had a a little girl, 4 months ago. Which makes this whole incident so much more devastating. E3 09 Virtual Booth Tour: MAG This is why I don't agree that respawn games take no skill. I've played CoD4 and Killzone, both respawn. Unless your playing just team deathmatch, there is always an objective. And if your team is not working together, it doesn't matter how many time you respawn. I've seen it first hand. And you can see it in this vid. His team got pushed back, no matter how many times they respawned. Just because a game is non-respawn, doesn't always take skill either. I don't think there is any skill chucking a grenade half way across the map blindly, and get kills that way. More than half the time in those games, it ends up being a team death match game anyway. More than not, the game ends because the other team all was killed. Respawn or not, this game looks and sounds amazing (from the description). Being able to delay the other teams spawn time and put static in their mics, that is cool as hell.

Naughty Dog to fix bugs in the Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is getting bug fixes for the multiplayer beta. One of the fixes will stop the PS3 from automatically restarting once the beta is exited out of, and the matchmaking problem will be fixed as well. The limits on Deatmatch have been raised from 25 to 50 and the looting limit has gone from 3 to 5, both of which helps extend the play time. Great news if you play the beta. -

Awesome, does that mean you guys have stepped up to vB.!Endless possibilities.!! Speaking of vBulletin, how do your stay logged in all the time. I keep getting timed out on Hollow Ground. Like here, you can check the box when you sign in that says "Always Stay Logged In". Is there a way to do that with vB?

I skimmed over that thread on the PS forums, and it appears that this is a huge issue with a lot of PS3 owners. Hell, the damn thread is over 500 pages long with about 5300 post. But it appears I'm up shit's creek without a paddle, that is unless I buy another TV. That friggin thread is over 2 years old now and Sony hasn't commented on this issue since November 2006, from what I'm reading. So I guess they are leaving it all in the dev's hands. Which is bad, because its cheaper and easier to make a game in 720p as opposed to 1080i or 1080p. Which is probably why more and more games are going this route.

The PS3 EyePet game coming out looks like it has the same thing. So that will probably be a good test on how this thing works. Does anyone have any pic's of the spike heads? I've never seen them. Also, did the XBOX upscale 720p to 1080i outta the box? Or was it an upgrade? Just curious. When was the first PS3 60gb models released? I have one of the originals. I guess I should be thankful everyday it works then. And I gotta say , I love the UF community. I don't think there has been a question that I've asked and someone here doesn't know the answer to. On that note, anyone got tips to potty train a 2 1/2 yoa girl? lol
