  1. I believe there were only 4 or 5 total rooms in Central 1, so something was definitely up.
  2. Hell ya, everyone is welcome. It's in US Cen 1. Yup, still got like 6 spots left if anyone else wants to get some games in.
  3. TOU has 9 guys on, is that ok?
  4. You got people on? Let's make a UF room!
  5. We'll have an event in the coming weeks or an announcement?
  6. Can we get an idea of when these "smaller events" will begin?
  7. Alright I'll get at you later this week. Are you guys chilling in Central severs?
  8. It's been rather quiet around here the last few weeks and I wanted to find out what clans are still focusing on Socom? TOU has been trying to frequent US Central in the hope that we would run into more UF clans but that hasn't been happening. Would any of you like to coordinate some PT so we can all run together?
  9. How do you propose to do this when the game lacks the functionality to achieve it. Make sure to read exactly what his quote states. I was in the closed beta and I have a thread dedicated to this topic where the developer has responded. If they do decide to add expand on the 8 player parties it will not be for months down the road.
  10. 256 is a gimmick if you can only put together an 8 player party.
  11. That is what I was afraid of, they did not say they will have it. The thread you linked does not include his exact quote: If that is what you were talking about, I would not get my hopes up too high.
  12. Can you link me to where you read this?
  13. Is there anyway for a clan that is interested in the event to see what those parameters are before submitting an application? So you have to sign up for bootcamp, then just back out if you dont like the settings.!? I know backing out never looks good for a clan, but unfortunately that seems the best way to "get a feel" Covert. Bring TOU in & go thru the process, if you dont like it, you dont need to sign up for any tournaments. but (once you pass) at least you will be cleared & able to join any tournaments down the road. Hold on, are you saying that TOU has to go through Boot Camp to be eligible for MW2 events? I thought that TOU was good to go since we voluntarily went through Hell Week in September of this year.
  14. Understood but even Hell Week had the layout posted for prospective clans. It's alright John pointed me in the right direction, thanks.
  15. Is there anyway for a clan that is interested in the event to see what those parameters are before submitting an application?
  16. Are the Bootcamp match parameters posted anywhere? I've been looking for them for weeks and have been unable to find the thread. One of the UF staff members posted a bunch of links but none of those give match parameters for Bootcamp. Or is it that these are only viewable by clans already enrolled in Bootcamp?
  17. Are they posted somewhere everyone can see them? Because I was looking about a week ago and I couldn't find anything posted anywhere. Care to shoot me a link? Well the only ones going on right now are YEBO, and Bootcamp. So I suppose those are the ones I was referring to. :-X Are the Bootcamp settings posted anywhere? I checked that area and could not find them.

  19. That doesn't sound too horrible, as long as there is balance there. I just don't like having an event that hurts teams of skill with gimmicks.
  20. You didn't get to play in one more match the entire tacmap!? If so that is ridiculous.
  21. That cannot be for the PS3, first off when the word "reload" comes up it doesn't have the PS3 button blinking on the screen. And second when he get's a killstreak it doesn't blink on the lower right hand corner as it does on the PS3 version.
  22. That is impossible, we would see it on his tv screen. That video is NOT on a capture card, it's actual video footage from the room he is in, unless he some how doctored the video and removed the "red dot" from the footage.
  23. I'm with you until we get to the part I highlighted in red. CT was a joke and is a joke, UF and the admins had nothing to worry about whatsoever. It's like the United States being fearful of an impoverished nation when everyone knows that without any effort they could be annihilated from the face of the earth. However, as the admins of Urgent Fury you are the Law and you are Enforcers of said "laws" within this community. Which means that you CAN make whatever decisions you so wish, the consequences of those decisions will be the proof of how good they actually were. The issue here is that if anyone uses brute force as a means of resolution they must be 100% certain that said action was absolutely necessary. Otherwise it will not stand up to public scrutiny and I believe that is the problem that we're all seeing before us now. Up until now I have not said where I stand(although I'm sure some could deduce that) other than to a UF admin that solicited me this week. In my opinion no TEAM should be ejected from an event that is underway UNLESS they break a rule that applies to that specific event. If someone within that TEAM was to break a "community" rule they should be dealt with on an individual basis. But to eject an entire team during an event for something unrelated to that event will almost certainly always be met with uprising. Furthermore, it taints the entire event, the winners and the administration. Once the event is completed if it is deemed necessary the admins should have a discussion with the leaders of said TEAM and if things cannot be resolved then make the tough decision. What this does is avoid tainting an entire event, it avoids the portrayal of admins that are on the warpath and/or possibly making decisions because their own clan could benefit from said decisions.(I believe this should be a rule in UF, posted for all to see and to be upheld by the admins) To be clear I am not a moderate, I DO NOT make compromises and so I would never advise someone to do anything even close to that. However, I do believe in practical decisions, rationale and facts when trying to solve problems. There was a better way to handle this, what will distinguish the current UF administration from the previous is whether or not they will understand and learn from the events that transpired.
