Anyone who has ever run a successful clan could understand everything that goes into making it a success. It's a lot of work. To run a tournament? Forget about it. There is no bridge between the two experiences. While I haven't agreed with every decision, I cannot say things have been unfair. That's all one can really ask for, is "fair". I have an appreciation for those who make UF happen. Those people spend time making UF happen instead of online playing the game. Meetings, setting up schedules, picking maps and objectives, rules, invites, alternate invites, disputes, moderating forums, and most recently curtailing excursions from sexual predators (OK a injection of tounge and cheek humor). I appreciate the efforts of all UF staff to provide a cheat free environment for me and the clan I belong to, so that we can compete with the expectation that we are facing clans who despise cheating as much as we do. While Tow and Sniper don't seem inclined to say so, that's what sets UF apart. I couldn't imagine going back to GB. At one time I thought they had it going on. But after seeing first hand how feckless they were when dealing with cheaters and losers who didn't report. It just got too much trouble to deal with. 101st was driven away from GB looking for something better, and we found it.

heh... I'm still waiting for them to figure out how to put my old Harley Davidson sig in a clan template. It's like fighting two people at once. Clan leader: "When are you going to get you sig in a clan tempate"? Me: "Put my sig in a clan template". Red and graphic guys: "We haven't figured out how yet". Clan leader: "When are you going to get you sig in a clan tempate"? Me: "They haven't figured it out yet". Clan leader: "You're a non-conformist". I don't care what anyone say's. My Harley Davidison sig is the coolest sig I have ever seen, except for possibly scantly clad hot women, but mine is viewable by children, so that's cool points too. Artistic liberties taken to make it funny, it didn't happen exactly that way, but it was pretty close.... ;D

Yes. I didn't expect the released version to have more bugs in it than the beta. /6 is off to a horrible start. The only thing keeping them in business is there is nothing else quite like SOCOM which has a large following, and they unfortunately have the newest and closest version to what SOCOM is. /6 sucks in my mind, they could suck start a diesel engine, and I hope they see that.

Everyone does know that this money isn't actually money the U.S. government had on hand. The 850 billion dollars that is known as the "bailout" was BORROWED from foriegn banks and will one day have to be paid back with INTEREST. Make sure you send a thank you card to Fannie Mae, Freddy Mac, and every politican who supports the Community Reinvestment Act. -

MAG is suppossed to have 256 on one map, as I understand it. 128 players on each side broken down into 8 man squads. Do I have that wrong? Company level tactics? 127 guys that want to do some innovative stuff? Think outside the box? Do the unexpected? Combined arms? Manuever warfare? Feints? I was just being enthusiastic from what I observed in S3, the bigger the numbers the less creative people seem to get, at least to me. The best? No. Get 127 to work togather in a concerted effort, win 9 of 10 matches? Yes.

MAG does face a an obstacle. The ability of the person in charge to think through a problem and come up with a solution. Camping is so much easier and everyone can do it. ANNOUNCEMENT.... ANNOUNCEMENT..... Camp back and wait to see what comes if you choose. It will work against many. It will work against a couple of rounds on me, and then you will have to think of something esle to do. I hope there are a couple of UF clans that want to team up and throw at a less prepared opponent than they can possibly deal with. You have no idea what's coming, neither do I since I haven't seen the maps. But it's going to be GOOD! If you are on my side that is..... otherwise it's going to suck! 101st loves 16 vs 16 big time. Give me more than 100, have the white flag handy is my advice if you are on the other side. You are going to need it.

A lot closer than Slant 6 is, that's for sure. CA happened because people wanted bigger maps, and was unpopular when those same people figured out bigger maps meant you actually had to think or just camp. Camping is easy and thinking is hard, guess what everyone did? Not my clan, we loved 16 vs 16 maps, and have the record on 16 vs maps to back up why we loved them. I sure hope Zipper is working on a SOCOM, so far S2 was their peak on performance, S3 was their best idea but the game play was lousy by Zipper standards so therefore it was a loser. So now we are playing Slant 6's game with CA game play standards and smaller maps. Please Zipper, if you are indeed listening, I hope you are working on something.

I normally do without new technology for a couple of years just for that reason. When I finally bought a DVD player, it was under $50 bucks. PlayStation is the only thing I stay current on and purchase as released.

the more I play this game, the more disappointed I get with it. getting stuck on nothing like I ran into a invisivble wall. can't shoot over a six inch curb to kill someone in different round. if these wireless remotes weren't so expensive, I would have broken 10 of them by now. no kidding, PS2 I always kept a spare on hand just in case.... >

If oil is not controlled soley by supply and demand, why is OPEC considering cutting production to create a shortage and drive the price back up then? There are other factors of course, but the largest factor is supply versus demand. -

Tow hit the nail on the head. Supply and demand dictates prices. However, OPEC is considering cutting back production to raise oil prices back the to preferred rate of $80 a barrel. Granted that's only 20% of what the U.S. imports, but it will affect prices globally. I would have to say my driving habits didn't change a whole lot. I still went on vacation over the summer, still rode my motorcycle just for the pleasure of riding it. I didn't drop the top on my car and go for joy rides along the beach though, but still drove it regularly other than that. -
I didn't say this was a lesser topic, even though it actually is. My thoughts were on cruelty on a whole, and how sometimes we get mushy on cruelty to animals since they are basically helpless and that's not a bad thing to feel that is a good thing. It just seems we don't so twisted about all about the cruelty that humans do to each other. Just carrying on a conversation is all.

Not to throw a damper on this parade. But does partial birth abortion mean anything to anyone? Infantcide (allowing the baby of a botched abortion to die in a medical facility by refusing to give medical help)? Dafur? Somolia (people murdered for trying to feed themselves)? Iraq (Kurds gassed with Nerve Agent). Taliban and their cruel regime in Afghanistan. Rwanda (thugs with machestes chopping up people and the U.N. couldn't stop them and got ran out of the country). Thialand, women sold into the slave sex trade. Or even drugs in the U.S., how many overdoses until we care? HIV? Homeless in America? My point is not that you don't care about cruelty to animals, I like animals, fake furs work for me and I am OK with seeing the fur industry go away. I just find it odd concerning the things that enrage us. While the video shown is graphic and cruel, and it should stop. When's the last time you bought a homeless person a meal in the U.S.? I'll tell the truth, it's been a few years because I don't run into them that much, while traveling with my daughter we pulled into a McDonalds and I ordered a extra meal for a guy on the curb with a sign saying he was willing to work for food, and we handed him a bag full of food on our way out. Want to talk about cruelty? I can come up with many more examples that don't concern animals. Maybe when we learn to treat each other better that will spread to those around us that aren't human.

No Cow, I was referring to the remark about statements and opinions expressed of Confrontation being disrespectful, and my point was what has Slant 6 done so far worthy of respect. My comments were pointed at Slant 6 only.

What has respect have to do with it? We have paid for a substandard product with substandard support. What is there to respect? Respect is earned.
