This is what I'm talking about for those that are unsure. It never shows the highlighted image for sections with new threads/posts. It always shows the first image reguardless of if there are new threads or not. This is from the Main Forum section.

I just wish the new forum post icon worked. Everytime I visit the forum there are new threads, posts, replies but the new thread/post icon stays the same. Outside of that small glitch, I like the new look and layout. I've always been a vbulletin fan.

Great job. -
It's the Law. If the club is "Fully" nude they aren't allowed to sell alcohol or have an alcohol license.

I've been to ALOT of strip clubs in my life, and as great as alot of the well known/most popular clubs can be, nothing can compare to those little hole in the wall clubs. Some of the wildest clubs have to be the "fully nude" clubs. They don't serve any alcohol......however......You can bring your own beer or champagne. $15 dollar entree fee 1 48qt Cooler 3 bags of Ice As much beer as you can fit in the cooler.....Enjoy.

I am one of the guys that freezes on Crossroads. It's not every time I play it but I'd say about 75% of the time I play Crossroads. I keep my PSN mailbox and my socom mailbox emptied out. I wouldn't think it was an overheating issue since it doesn't happen unless I'm playing Crossroads. My computer is always on 24/7. Same scenario as overheating applies, if it was my PC it would happen on other maps. I'll do some checking with my guys and compile a list of them that have the same issue and see if there is a common factor between everyone that could be causing the issue.

I know everyone that plays or has played Socom Confrontation has had issues with freezing. Over the past 2-3 weeks myself and some of my clan members have noticed that the only map that we seem to freeze on is Crossroads. It doesn't matter if it's a big or small map, or what map type. If we play Crossroads we're guaranteed at least 3-4 of us will freeze and have to reset during the map. My question to everyone has anyone else noticed this? and why would Crossroads be the only map that seemed to affect players like this? I mainly bring this up because alot of times clans like to play Crossroads as a tie breaker map for wars, but if freezing is such an issue with this map why not have an alternative tie breaker?

In the late 80's Motley Crue's hit song "Girls, Girls, Girls" became an Anthem for strippers around the world. Now 20 years later a new band on the scene has created a new stripper Anthem. God bless Strippers.

What is the point of ESRB ratings?
x_BrOkEn_HaLo_x replied to Pillorian's topic in General Discussion
I couldn't agree more. I could go off on a whole list of things the government has messed up. Has anyone else been out on saturday afternoon and seen a Parent discipling their child in public, only to have that one nosey son of a bitch try to step in and tell the Parent how to raise their child? Hell, when I was growing up in wasn't uncommon for one of my Parents to whip off their belt and commense to whipping my ass if I was doing something wrong. Didn't matter if it was at home or in public. Now, you got people saying you can't spank your children. Sit them in a corner and give them a time-out. WTF is that? That would've just given me more time to think about how not to get caught next time. There's a big difference in abuse and discipline. Parents get in more trouble these days for disciplining their children vs if they don't discipline them. I ask myself all the time, What the hell is wrong with the world today? I think things should be like they were when my Parents where children. -

Just curious, do you think these said parents would take the game away if they really knew what was going on? That's a loaded question. It all goes back to the Parent and what type of Parent they are. Take Tool's example of him and his son. Some would say what he did was wrong. I don't!! As long as the "Parent" teaches the child the differences between right and wrong, what's exceptable and unexceptable then there shouldn't be any major issues. You still have to figure in that as the child grows he's going to learn from other people and their actions, peer pressure etc. However, as long as the Parent instilled the right values in the child he should turn out fine. I'm getting off topic slightly.....Back to children and online gaming. Some Parents figure they can throw a video game in, turn on the tv, throw some food in front of the kid and they can then be free to go about their own business. Some Parents just don't get it. A video game isn't a babysitter. -

I understand your thoughts and opinions on this matter, however, the problem doesn't lie with the online gaming communities. The problem lies with the Parents. Parents still buy games rated M for Mature. They still allow little Johnny to get "online" with his game and they don't Police his online gaming. My brother has a 7 year old little boy. He allows his son to play video games. He carefully selects games for his son by doing research, and making sure the game isn't too mature for him. He doesn't allow him to play games "online". He doesn't want his son subjected to the language etc. of online gaming. That's what "Mature" adults do. So, bottom line don't blame the games, the online communities, the gamers. Blame the Parents for not doing their jobs as a Parent. -
Just ran into this Clan in a Quick Match. 90% of their Clan was made up of very young kids, I'd say 10-12 yrs of age. Everyone one of them where very disrespectful, using profanity, claiming we were cheaters and using lag switches. Not sure if they have gone threw a Hell Week here yet, but if they sign up I'd love to be there.

Wow, what grade is he in again? Bottom line...We are all human and we all make mistakes from time to time. That's how we learn. However, I've seen these kind of posts about tournaments and clans since I've been playing this game and unfortunately some of the people who play this game are very immature. The way I was raised, is if you have an issue with someone or something then you deal with it directly. A ten page letter to a public community outside of UF or any of the other tournament sites mentioned seems more like a childish ploy. I really don't see the point in his love letter. If I wasn't in the UF community and I wasn't involved with a tournament site and I was looking into them I wouldn't base my choice on his ramblings. Ignore him, he's obviously a middle aged man that has no life outside of creating drama around a video game.

Socom 4 Confirmed for Ps3 by Zipper Interactive

It's probably too early to tell, but I'd assume there would be some type of beta. -
Socom 4 Confirmed for Ps3 by Zipper Interactive
x_BrOkEn_HaLo_x replied to Jarhead0321's topic in General Discussion
Sorry Johnson. My comment wasn't directed towards you. I was over on Socom.com and they have a Socom 4 section up now. There are already so many threads from people crying and whining about what they want. Threads wanting "Socom 2" back, etc. I'm just tired of people stuck in 1996. It's like going to a Godsmack concert and seeing some guy with a Mullet, sporting a REO Speedwagon shirt. I wish people would just step outta the past and let the game progress. I don't get what the point of re-releasing Socom 2 with prettier graphics is! If they were going to do that then there shouldn't be a Socom series. It should just be Socom, Socom Re-Release, Socom Re-Re-Release. Pay no attention to me, these are just the ramblings of a deluded mental patient. -
Socom 4 Confirmed for Ps3 by Zipper Interactive
x_BrOkEn_HaLo_x replied to Jarhead0321's topic in General Discussion
I just want Zipper to design the game and ignore all the crybabies that want this and that. If people want Socom 2 then they should go play Socom 2 (Been there, Done that). Stop nerfing guns because these complainers feel it's too powerful or too accurate. Too many crybabies trying to control things. It's called Progression. -
When you say you "reset" your PS3, did you hold down the on/off button on the front or switch it off on the back? I've heard that both of those will cause the YLOD. I picked up a useful little tip about freezing. Instead of reseting your PS3, eject the disc and your PS3 will restart itself, similar to restarting a PC. It takes about 10-12 seconds for your PS3 to restart once you've ejected the disc but it doesn't harm your system.

Thanks Rockman, The info about specialization progress is good news. I was wondering how that was going to work. I know alot of people are talking about losing their CE credits randomly. I've completed both primary and secondary specializations and I'm glad that deleting saved game data won't affect the process.

I'm sure that everyone here is fully aware or has experienced freezing in game. I don't know the cause of it, or a solution. I do know that since 1.6 I've froze more than I have in the past. Sometimes 3-4 times in an evening. I read somewhere that if you deleted your "socom" saved game data that this would help freezing. Something about the saved game data becoming corrupt over a period of time. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

more SOCOM 1.6 and DLC info coming tomorrow
x_BrOkEn_HaLo_x replied to jamesy40's topic in Playstation
Either buy it or don't.....The choice is up to each individual. Complaining about the DLC not being free or anything else is mute at this point. Play the game or don't. -
Socom Confrontation Cold Front DLC
x_BrOkEn_HaLo_x replied to x_BrOkEn_HaLo_x's topic in Playstation
Yeah, I figured I'd throw it up because 99% of the posts I've seen are about patch 1.6 and this is the DLC that follows it. -
