  1. Seems like if they were gonna drop it they would not only announce it.. but you would think they would try and hit Xmas?? Thats only a few days when you look at it.. seems like if they launch after xmas they would loose out on the xmas rush... not that its not unheard of or impossible for a dev to miss the bandwagon.. but we can all hope right?
  2. Yes.. Socom Confrontation is not finished at UF... stay tuned in the next few days for an announcement about that.. and i am not talking about the UFGL..

  10. wow that is nice.. i will have to look into getting myself one..
  11. voted 3 times!
  12. I will be getting both, CoD is old and tired to me , BO looks to bring a few new things to the game.. however im not sure buying my weapons rather then earning them by levels will really change my opinion of CoD. MoH has me a bit excited.. i love BFBC2 and wish there was more clan support cuz that game would be hella fun to play tourneys in.. but again no user created rooms or clan support.. which MoH is supposed to be a bit more geared too. So like i said I will be getting both... but i will be treating both of these games as "tide me overs" till Socom4 comes in and smashes them both to pieces... or so i hope! lol
  13. Me too!!! but for how long.. lol I try and use my slim more then my 80... but i have used all of my share accounts for inadub and they are all on the 80 .. i should switch them so if and when it craps i can still use my DLed content.. Sharing has good and bad effects ... like when you share games w/a friend and his ps craps out.. TWICE!!! lol
  14. We all know you have enough "natural padding" to help keep you warm.. lol
  15. Thanks... indeed it is. We just wanted anyone and everyone close to come enjoy a fun night and have some laughs.. again.. all are welcome .. and hope to see the locals
  16. All these birthday wishes.. did any of you actually send this man a gift?? I did... ask him! lol HAPPY BDAY VIPER!!!! Old you may be, but forever remembered here at UF.. hope you have a day filled w/ many HIGHS and no lows..
  17. Brian Wood spent his life thrilling millions of faceless gamers, but his last moment was spent saving the lives of those he loved most. Wood, a 33 year-old lead designer at popular game developer Relic Entertainment, was on his way back to his Washington home when his wagon was struck by an oncoming Chevy Blazer being driven by a 21 year-old woman believed to be driving under the influence. With his pregnant wife Erin in the passenger seat, Wood swerved his car to put himself directly in the path of the oncoming SUV -- a decision that ultimately cost him his life, but protected his wife and unborn child from harm. Two other passengers riding in the backseat of the Blazer were also killed. "All the policeman say that if we had hit the car head-on all of us would be dead," Erin Wood told The Province. "At the very last second (Brian) braked really hard and turned right so that he would be put in the path of the SUV and not me and the baby, and that is the only thing that saved us both." "He was always sacrificing himself for me and the baby," she added. But while Wood's impossibly brave act left a permanent void in the life of Erin Wood, the same people who Brian strived to please with his work have returned the favor with a striking show of support for his bereaved widow. A memorial trust was set up within days of the accident. Countless game developers, journalists and fans posted links on Twitter and Facebook, leading to literally thousands of supportive comments, messages and financial donations, prompting Wood to send an open letter to the gaming community to popular game blog Kotaku. "Brian always told me about how close-knit and wonderful the video game community was, but I had no idea until this tragedy just how special a group it really is," she writes. "From all the articles and comments, to the emails and donations, I am simply stunned and so touched by the love, kindness, and generosity shown to me and my family." At the time of his death, Brian Wood was working on Company of Heroes Online, a free-to-play version of Relic’s award-winning strategy game. It's currently in open beta-test. To help Erin, please visit the Brian Wood Memorial Trust : http://www.brianwoodmemorialtrust.com/ Another link about the story: http://www.relic.com/ http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/plugged-in/gamers-lend-support-to-widow-of-heroic-developer/1410899 Wow this is truly something.. I will be making a donation once this post is done.. this guy will always be remembered and i didnt know him, or follow any of his work. Any man who would sacrifice himself for his family is an upstanding human in the opinion of this gamer, he will truly be missed!
  18. So time flies fast when having fun.. or so they say. To celebrate our 8 year virtual family, all of the locals here in Oregon aka 503, are all going out to see the movie JackAss 3D. The movie happens to come out on the clans bday.. so i wanted to make sure any local 503 UF members were aware of the get together and wanted to invite ALL who want to come. We are planning for a 6-8 showing and who knows where the after party will end up... we are meeting up at a clan members house for a quick "refresher" .. so to speak. Anyone interested feel free to PM me or drop by the 503 message boards.. i have all info posted on my FaceBook too.. Word.. regardless.. Thanks to UF for all the support and when the bday actually arrives im sure there will be a bigger, more thought out post!
  19. So i havent seen anything regarding this here at UF but i wanted to post the link and let you guys Read, and then decide sign the petition or not. Long story short, there is a chance that the supreme court might get involved in the decision making of what games to ban from our store shelves. This petition is to help ensure that our games will not be banned for what i like to think should be up to the parents, like the kids not getting Mature games at such early ages, and then getting upset about it. So without getting too deep into it.. just click the link and read .. there are plenty of links and info available all over the net including the links below: http://action.theeca.com/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=1781 Also i noticed that on my PC i couldnt scroll down w/o using the arrow keys on my keyboard... but the site is a legit site that supports the video game industry in all ways. More info regarding the actual situation: http://action.theeca.com/salsa/track.jsp?v=2&c=IbGYMF7eErd8lNmzzAL6VM1jpwQ1neIR
  20. Happy bday!! Blumpkins for all!!!

  21. I just wanted to take a few seconds and say THANKS! Seriously , even though i didnt make the top 10, it was a blast and i met a few people , got a new clan prospect, and it actually brought my dormant clan back together too.. So this may chalk up as a loss for the Tester, but it was a win in many other areas big and small. I have been a part of UF for a few years now and am proud to be a part of this community. I dont have any other place quite like this where i can kick off my panties, i mean hat, off and be with others who have similar passions like i do. So Thank you, and i say that too all aspects of it , the owners, the staff, the community , and the fans of this amazing and continuously growing awesomeness that is Urgent Fury. Cmdr Fury also should get a special thanks for taking more or less a whole weekend waiting for Sam and then actually doing the interview for the podcast, as i have told you more then once that meant a lot to me for you to go so far out of your way for someone who chewed you out a week before Of course Sam aka Doc also deserves some serious thanks. This guy took time out of his recovery to answer a bunch of questions and watch my terrible round 1 video. He then helped with my round 2 video and made sure the right people watched it and knew who I was .. so who knows, the show hasn't even cast the other 10 people yet... regardless it was hella fun to watch me LEGITIMATELY pass all those people in the first couple rounds.. I finished 12th in round 1, 7th in round 2 and finished 28th in round 3.. Thanks for all your help and see you on the PSN soon!
  22. Actually its all over for me as far as the voting goes. I will be making a full post later today after i get some sleep.. only the top 10 moved on and regardless of speculations , I was not in the top 10.. Thanks to all who voted and again i plan on writing a bigger more thought out post here later today
  23. As long as they are not Lash or Tools.. right?? Happy Bday AC!
