Firefox Issues

Have any of you Mozilla users had it crash on you lately?

 

Over the past 3-4 days mine has crashed what seems like a dozen or so times a day. I send the notice to Mozilla like it says to do, but like the notices sent to Microsoft, I'm sure they fall on blind eyes.

 

My next step, if I'm unable to find a work around here, is to uninstall and start over. Hoping I don't have to do that. To many bookmarks.

 

Any help is appreciated.

Dan.. there's a back up feature for your book marks if you go to the organize book marks option in FF...

yes, i have had this problem, usually when im on Break.com watchin a vid i crash. it hasnt happened in awhile, but it used to happen maybe 3-5 times a week for about 2-4 weeks.

I erase it and put it back on a bit before and it saved my bookmarks.

My firefox won't even start up. It crashes before it opens and its been like that for months so i've been using chrome. I'm starting to like chrome better anyway.

And there should be an option in FF to restore it to the default settings, you could try that, if not someone mentioned the backup of your favs. You can also just browse to were those are stored and copy them someone else, reinstall and copy them back.

The only problem I have with Chrome is occasionally buttons, and Netflix won't let me watch movies on it.

 

It's too new still to be recognized, but I use it exclusively regardless. SO much faster.

The only problem I have with Chrome is occasionally buttons, and Netflix won't let me watch movies on it.

 

It's too new still to be recognized, but I use it exclusively regardless. SO much faster.

 

 

I cant watch Netflix on Mozilla either. Still have to go through IE.

Try DLing Chrome.

 

It offers a VERY smooth, fast alternative browser. It also has Incognito mode, allowing you to surf with no footprint.

 

Great for people at work who don't wanna be caught.

i haven't run into any compatibility issues with chrome yet, but i do miss the customization feature you got with FF.

yeah firefox seems to crash anytime i try to upload a picture to something or download music have to always switch to internet explorer

For security and to help stop crashes try No script.. keeps crap from loading you don’t really need and lets you choose exactly what you want to load from where for any site to include allow all temporarily or always allow all for trusted sites.

Its important to remember both Firefox and Chrome are not stand alone browsers they both utilize Explorer to function. You can’t get rid of Explorer. YOU NEED TO use Explorer every so often and keep it updated in order to insure Firefox and Chrome work well. I can’t remember the last time I had Firefox crash on me

Hey Big D how the heck are ya??? I have Firefox and have not had any problems with it..although it looks like others have. Good luck with it..hopefully you get it squared away. Oh ya...while I have you...I had a problem with my Rockman35 name in which I can no longer receive game invites, this has been completely annyoning although I have been told that the next Socom patch is suppose to fix that. Anyway..I have a temporary name if you could, send me a friends invite to Sudden35

I like to mix it up with both chrome, and ff..

 

chrome works for me about 85% of the time, but certain sites wont load properly, or just dont work period on chrome for me.. so i switch back and forth, and use IE as my last option.
