Kickstarter and crowdfunding is not for everyone but it is the perfect avenue for a project like this and many other studios. The reward levels are to entice larger pledges and the more unique they are the more they are worth. So you have to weigh the value vs the reward against your willingness to spend. They are currently on track with how Takedown was funded... but I hope to see them do better than Takedown since they are embracing the Socom community much more than Takedown did.

For your first point, they have a heavy Xbox following where ours is PS... And as for completing tournaments, we have many that complete just fine, but when we find 2 of the top 3 clans are cheating in an event then we will pull the plug. As for the remark about ownership putting in the effort, yah we made the mistake of entrusting a tournament team comprised of staff to get things done and we learned from that. We had success with Starhawk while it lasted and with BO2 we have had a pretty steady run with Aftermath and we have plenty more coming after Chicago. Even more in the pipe with PS4. But lets face facts, we do not get the support from MS like we do from Sony, we have never really had interest from more than a couple of clans or teams for XBox and we are ok with that. From the Business perspective, the fact that we focus on PS gives us a lot more room as well as there are plenty of large sites focused on Xbox, and because we are not, then we have opportunities to give sponsors another avenue. As you might have noticed we have some new partners now.

Devil, I know we have been burned many times by Sony when it comes to Socom, but this is not Sony this time pulling the strings. This time we have David pulling the strings, he was responsible for the Socom's we loved and today he announced that the original map designer of Fish Hook, Sandstorm, NIghtstalker, Desert Glory, etc is now on the team too... he is building an all star team for this game. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1687497632/h-hour-worlds-elite-0/posts/514521

So I had an interesting conversation with the owner of Scuf Gaming last week. I actually held the controller and understand it is not electronically modified so that you have double tap, rapid fire, etc. We have had quite the outcry from the competitive community about allowing these controllers at the Chicago event. Now our stance when it comes to people bringing their own controllers will not change. But we would consider if we had a controller for all players so that there is an even playing field. What are your thoughts on the Scuf Controller specifically. This discussion is not about modded controllers, only about the scuf that has the paddle on the bottom that act as the X and O buttons.
