    Nothing has changed over the holiday weekend from what was posted above. As we have updates we will post them sent via my phone over some kind of Willy wonka wave links using the new tapatalk 4.0 app

    As many know the sponsor for the prize pool for the UF on Tour Chicago event failed to follow through and left us in a poor position. With the lower than minimum threshold turnout, we actually did not bring in enough revenue to cover the cost of the event. We were actually comfortable with the latter part because we were led to believe the sponsor was covering the Prize money. This was a difficult position to be in and has affected everyone involved. With that being said we had a second solution worked out, and everything was going to be good. That has since changed. Unfortunately they decided that it was not financially possible to come to our need. While we are disappointed about this, we do respect that they did come to us and actually inform us of their intent to decline. Where that leaves us and those affected: We are still working on a solution to get our teams that earned winnings their compensation. For those that need new checks or have not received them, we will not send new ones until we can send a cashier’s check. We understand that many of you will be upset, and you have every right to be. We are as upset about the situation as you guys are. This is a low blow to our community. We will continue to push forward and our priority is to get the winners taken care of and our next event 100% prefunded.     I was hit crossing the street by a lady that ran a red light, only reason I was able to get any money for medical was to involve a layer. Use your insurance and a lawyer and you will be good... just keep in mind the layer generally takes 30% of your settlement so demand that they cover your legal expenses and do not back down.

    Ok so let me explain a little more about the rewards point... The leaderboard shows the top person for the last 30 days if I remember correctly. As for the glitch on everything not showing up, it sounds like it fixed itself. I have been working with the guys at PT because there were a few glitches we found this go around. We have blown away any other contest we have ever done with this one so some of the bugs are actually coming out.

    A couple of years ago we were contacted by a few friends, Justin a long time Gamer and Tom a Special Forces Veteran, with a vision to bring a game that gave us back what we have been searching for since the release of PS3. These friends created SOF Studios with that goal in mind. We committed to them that Urgent Fury would support the development of such a game. We have known time and time again that is what our community is looking for and many clans have been wandering the gaming space aimlessly in hopes of finding it. Fast forward to now, H-Hour: World's Elite KickStarter Campaign is in its final stretch, David Sears has returned to pick up where he left off with Socom 1 and 2 now powered by technology and tools not available back in the PS2 days. Urgent Fury is fully committed to support H-Hour Start to finish and that leads me to a very humbling announcement. As of last week, I have taken a position at SOF Studios as Community Manager. I have been searching for that next career that captured my passion with Gaming and working with Communities. As you can imagine I am beyond excited. What this means for Urgent Fury. Well since my primary day job will be SOF Studios, I will have to dedicate more of my time at SOF Studios. John will be stepping up to handle more of the work I do on a daily basis at UF. We will also look to fill a Community Management Position at Urgent Fury with a current Staff member or move someone into it. This is going to be a process as I transition into less of an active roll. Everything that we are doing tournament wise, be it live or online will continue to build relentlessly. John will begin to handle more of the relationships with partners and sponsors as well, but I will still be at the live events as well as represent Urgent Fury as an owner. If you have not done so, be sure to head over to the KickStarter and pledge your support as well as register at SOF Studio's site. H-Hour will be powered by Community Development so your feedback matters.

    DUST 514 Prime League Tournament In July, we will begin entry registration for the first open DUST 514 Tournament. This time around we will be hosting the Uprising tournament with UrgentFury, an accomplished online organizer in the console FPS scene. Registration begins on July 25 and ends on July 30 and the tournament is open to all EVE/DUST player corporations. The tournament will begin on August 1 with finals taking place from August 26-31 and the championship matches to take place on the weekend of September 7-8. The tournament will be organized into two separate regions, one for North American and one for EU time zones and the winning teams from both regions will meet on the battlefield to win the right to rename a planet within the New Eden universe in a cross continental match up on September 14-15. This is just the beginning. Don’t miss this great opportunity to have fun and compete for great rewards. And stay tuned for news about future events. See you on the battlefield...
