I'm agreeing with Tool here. We all have done stupid things when we were younger and looking back realize just how lucky we were that someone didn't get seriously injured. I would FREAK OUT if my boys EVER do some of the DUMB, "not thinking of the consequences" things that I have done. I doubt that Nick got into his car and thought to himself, "I'm going to street race tonight, crash, and put my friend into a vegetative state." Young people make dumb decisions which lead to horrible consequences sometimes. Now he's in jail and still TOO YOUNG to realize the impact of what has resulted. Maybe with time and through self-reflection he will BEGIN to comprehend the aftermath. Probably not though. I think he's too young to "get it" hence the phone call to his dad.

It comes with the turf. They choose to be on tv to make the family "famous". That has its downfalls too...public scrutiny. SO I think if you want to walk the walk.... I hear ya, Rooster and I agree. I just get "irate" when the general public worries itself with crap like this when there are much more troublesome problems in the world. If everyone focused their efforts elsewhere, good stuff might happen.

I have a few issues with all of this. My first question is why was his conversation with his dad released for all to hear? It's really none of anyone's business. They don't go releasing the phone scripts everytime some scumbag calls home. My guess is that most conversations would sound about the same, yet no one is "enraged". Just because he is the son of a celebrity doesn't mean his crime or attitude about it is any more deplorable than a crime/bad attitude of any other person sitting in jail. Second, you think he's the only person sitting in jail who DOESN'T feel "bad" for what he did to get there? No, most certainly not! Every one in jail is innocent. Only reason anyone has a problem with it is because his family has $$$. I certainly don't condone the attitude. I just find it ridiculous when people start crying outrage at something like this. It's obvious the kid is selfish. But what's even worse ... THAT IS TODAY'S YOUNGER GENERATION! Now THERE'S something to be outraged about.

No, you didn't overreact. He should have realized that you were reacting to his OVERreaction. Even if the geese were messing with him while he was playing a particular hole, at most, the guy should have ran the geese off, NOT chase them down and continue to attack them. It's obvious this man has some anger issues. You DEFINITELY shoulda called the game and fish commission or wildlife rangers or whoever handles that stuff and then dared him to call them treehuggers! Would have been quite entertaining!

I was thinking and wondering ... when the new Socom comes out (assuming it is everything we all hope it will be), will there be enough interest in the other tourneys hosted by UF, like the CoD tourneys? We already can't staff a team due to lack of interest in CoD and the buzz of a Socom release in September. I know that once Socom comes out, good or bad, we'll be "back in the game" and applying to play in the UF tourneys and so I wonder how many other clans/ppl think that once Socom comes out, they won't be playing anything else, resulting in an inability to get enough sign-ups for the CoD, etc. tourneys.

Had a Golden Retriever for 7 years named Leemor (Sample in a Jar ... anyone know what I'm talking about?) and he ran off (or was taken) about 3 months ago when we let him out to relieve himself. So, last week, we picked up a Basset Hound for our boys. His name is Boudreaux. He's only 7 weeks old. We also have two OUTSIDE cats and some fish. OH, WAIT, did I mention my husband?? lol

OOOOOOOhhhhhh I'm so jealous! :'( Maybe when Socom comes out, everyone will be back to playing on a regular basis and we can staff a full tourney team and get in on a piece of the action. Good luck to everyone. And to the clans whose first time this is ... get ready for a fun ride!

I was wondering how long it was going to take for someone to point out the fact that oil companies are reporting billion dollar profits. That alone proves that they ARE in fact making cold, hard cash. I do know that the gas station owners don't make squat off of gas because of the $ they pay for the gas. But actual oil/gas companies ... getting richer and richer by the gallon! And yes, they are to blame. Greed is pushing up the price of EVERYTHING. Maybe now someone will take serious the dire need for alternative fuel options.
