I like the way you think Squid. Using Squids mathematical breakdown I just celebrated the 10th anniversary of my 25th birthday a couple of weeks ago. 'Splain this, please. I'm dumb when it comes to math!
  3. I"ll have you know, I am ONLY 36 years young as of last Friday. The problem isn't my age. I have two boys, a 6 year old and a 17 month old. And two is plenty for me! Besides the fact that pregnancy sucks, I prefer a peaceful living environment and after seeing the hell my sister lives with 3 boys, I am done with child bearing! Happy belated birthday! Thanks!

  5. Uhhh, how can I say this in the nicest way possible ... "CAN YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH???" ;D Do not speak like that! :-X NOT AN OPTION!! I'll cut my legs off first! I didn't realize that was a form of contraceptive. ;D Uhhh, lemme clarify. I'll cut my legs off to stop the sciatic pain I feel in them before I get pregnant to stop the pain!

  7. I have TONS of problems with my sciatic nerve. Just happened one day ... laying on the floor, went to get up and couldn't. When I got pregnant with my first son, it "fixed" something because I didn't have the problem for the longest time and then when I got pregnant with my second son, it got "unfixed" because the problem is back. Some times are worse than others. Most of the time, I can't lay flat on my back because if I do, I can't sit up or roll over. It literally takes me 5-6 minutes of slowly moving in a specific way to get up. It's pretty painful. I haven't been to the dr. about it. I just deal with it. I've been dealing with it for close to 10 years, so, unless or until I have the pain on a constant basis, I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and not lay on my back.
  8. I think I have like 15 friends. I've always been the quality over quantity kind of girl.
  9. We have AT&T (formerly Cingular) and are very happy with service and coverage. If you go to one of their stores, they will have a map that shows coverage areas, so you could check out your area and make sure the coverage there is solid. I hardly ever get into my minutes because literally almost everyone we know has Cingular and so the minutes are considered Mobile-to-Mobile and that is unlimited. I have about 2000 rollover minutes in my account right now! LOL For the first time, I PAID FOR a phone this last go around because I wanted something more than just a phone. (I usually get whatever is free when it's time to upgrade.) I love the phone I have! And right now they are offering it MUCH, MUCH cheaper for new sign ups than what I paid. It's the Walkman 1080i. I wanted a slider with an MP3 player (and I don't text, ever!) and so I researched and researched, narrowed it down to this one and the LG Shine and decided on this one. So far, so good! I really like the phone and I get lots of "ooooohhhh, what kind of phone is that? That is a nice phone!" It's certainly not the most expensive or top of the line phone, but it sure beats what I had and it doesn't have all the extra junk that I don't need like the Blackberrys or IPhone. Good luck choosing! And just remember, you usually have 30 days to try out most cell phone service providers before being locked in.
  10. OTHER THAN THE FACT THAT IT'S ILLEGAL!!!
  11. We can't communicate with nothing but the mic, we can't use hand and arm signals. That's the whole thing right there. And that's why I think it won't work. Regardless of how "real" they want the environment to be, the fact is, the "real" deal is that we are all sitting at home with background noises that can and will ruin it and only ONE WAY to communicate, which is the mic. Like Hogwild says, we can't use hand and arm signals and so to cripple our ONLY means of communication like that is just STUPID! Why don't these developers listen to the players and just leave a good thing alone?
  12. That's what it sounds like! Pretty crazy! I guess now you have to be more stealthy? Like if you whisper when standing next to a teammate and you are a few feet behind or away from the enemy, will he hear you like he would if you spoke outloud? That's just nuts!
  13. So that's why there haven't been any new episodes??? J/K .. but really, what's up with that? One of my MOST FAVORITE shows on T.V. and I miss it!
  14. This may have already been posted/read, but I am reading it for the first time. WE FIND OUT THE MIC SITUATION! VERY curious to see how this is gonna work! SOCOM: Confrontation Impressions Slant Six deploys a treat for the fans. 5/16/2008 12:00:00 AM By Chris Roper Courtesy of IGN.com If you missed it, we ran a story called SOCOM: Confrontation Declassified a couple days ago that highlighted most of the features in the upcoming online-only shooter from Slant Six. At Sony's Pre-E3 judge's event today, we finally had a chance to get our hands on the game and see what it was all about. The demo took place in the revamped version of Crossroads, a fan-favorite map that premiered with SOCOM 2. The new version looks to stay very true to the original design, with the overall size and geometric form mimicking the original very well. In other words, fans will be very happy. However, it's certainly gotten a major facelift in terms of visuals, and the whole game looks great. The texture work is nice and does a great job of showing off the map's regional placement. Lots of boxes and cover have been added to Crossroads, offering up cover from snipers and giving players new ways to tackle long hallways and open spaces. The cover system seems to work pretty well. When you stop moving, your character will automatically crouch, though you're able to force him to stand up to fire over the top of cover. While crouched, SixAxis control allows you to lean around cover for some relatively safe shots at the enemy. It's a very analog system, meaning that it's much more than a simple left or right leaning dynamic. Cover is handled via line-of-sight, so just because you're behind cover doesn't necessarily mean that you're safe. The analog leaning system then helps as you can move until you're just barely able to get off a shot, keeping you as safe as possible. SixAxis control extends a bit beyond just cover leaning, however. It's also used when throwing a grenade, for instance. You still have the visual arc to show where your grenade will go, but if you tilt the controller down while releasing a grenade, you'll roll it instead of throw it. Camera options are aplenty here. While the game defaults to a third-person view, you're still able to move in to a first-person view if you choose. But a new, cool option in-between these two is a new over-the-shoulder camera that puts you right behind your character, allowing you to see his position clearly while also giving you a bit of a closer look at the action ahead of you. As mentioned, the game looks great visually at this point, and it runs fantastically as well. Even with a relatively full server, things looked to be largely lag free. There are also a couple small touches that add to the overall look and feel, like heat waves in the environment that cause anything off in the distance to appear to be waving. It's subtle and small, but awesome. We were told that Confrontation will feature every game type seen in a previous SOCOM title, which is great news for longtime fans. The servers will be global, meaning that you'll be able to play with anyone in the world and not just folks in your region. Talking to these folks should prove interesting. Not only do you have the option to use the radio by pressing a button, but anytime you talk, anyone in your area will be able to hear you, regardless of whether you have the radio turned on or not. That means that you'll be able to just talk to someone near you, though the enemies will be able to hear what you're saying as well. This can actually be used as a tactic to draw their attention though, which could offer a new twist to gameplay. So far SOCOM: Confrontation looks great, and fans should be very happy with what they see later this year. ©2008-05-16, IGN Entertainment, Inc. All Rights Reserved CRAZY!
  15. Well I wont be watching anymore golf this summer :-\ The only time I watch golf is when Tiger is winning or when it's a major. I think 90% of America agrees with that lol. You won't catch me watching golf this summer, I'll be watching the Cubbies, more baseball, and Nascar. they where talking about this on the lex and terry show this morning. its reported that the PGA's TV rating goes up by 40% anytime tiger is in the field. thats just crazy!!! I don't even watch golf and actually don't care for it AT ALL, but the other day, I was flipping through the channels and it was at the end of the day and they were recapping what had just happened to force the play-off and I couldn't help but watch. Tiger Woods is INCREDIBLE! He has a true gift.
