I have the Sony and LOVE it. I researched for a month before deciding on it and I did read about some problems with keypad cracking, BUT customer service said if it happened in the first year, they'd replace it and I don't text so that's the one I went with. Had it for 5 months now. No problems, whatsoever. Good choice.

My question is ... how much does technology play into this? I would guess that as time progress, so does our technology, possibly decreasing deaths in war zones. And in regards to Sudan, I work with a guy who is from Sudan. He does our Arabic translations. A few years back, he went back to Sudan to marry his wife and bring her to the States and he had to sneak into and out of Sudan so that he would not be killed. His story is incredible! We really take for granted just how lucky we are and how good, as Americans, we have it.

I've enjoyed this community to say the least. I don't post all the time, but I lurk like hell and enjoy all the funny posts, learn from some of the serious posts, and even enjoy the drama. (Who doesn't like watching a good fight every now and again?) What's so crazy is that we all carry different tags and compete against each other, yet at the end of the day the fact that we are a "UF clan" (if you will) overshadows individual clans and everyone is chill with each other. It's nice to log on and jump into a room of another UF clan and a familiarity be there. I think one of the BEST things about this community, that sets it apart, (and I think Junk will agree) is the willingness to forgive, possibly forget, but definietly move on ... just like one big happily dysfunctional family! I'd love to be joining you all in Chicago in August, but duty calls and I will be standing outside at 5:00 pm in 100 degree weather, wearing a bridesmaid dress, sweating my bum off, all for my best friend who is FINALLY GETTING MARRIED! So maybe next year, 'cause I have a feeling this won't be the only time this little gathering happens. My guess is this will be the first of many to come.

I'm also paying the fee for the AoV player, should he get an invite. When the time comes, I'll make sure I put his name in the comment box.

Willie lives out here on Maui part-time and likes to play a late 9 at the local Muni from time to time. Had the opportunity to play a late 9 with him many years ago. Nice fella. Mellow, terrible golfer. Lit up on the 2nd hole and it was a good time until it was over. Nice! He is a really nice person. Very friendly. His whole family is like that. My dad lives in Austin, Tx., Lake Travis area. My dad used to live next door to Willie's brother-in-law (who was living in one of Willie's houses) and they'd let us take Willie's boat and party barge out on the lake all the time. We'd go over to one of Willie's other houses in the same neighborhood to swim where one of his other brother-in-laws lived. I don't know if he even owns any of that anymore since the whole tax thing happened. Anyways, like I said, all really nice people.

WOW! I always try to stay out of situations like this that have NOTHING to do with me, but after reading the weeks of b.s. that is posted by certain individuals around here, I just can't keep my thoughts to myself anymore. Apple, you have shown your true colors. You were respectfully asked to delete accounts from your forums and refused like a schoolyard bully. THANK GOD your show was not interesting enough to me to prompt my registration on your forums. Since DV8's relationship started with UF, I have witnessed the creators/staff of UF show you nothing but the utmost respect, treating you equally as anyone else in this community. In return, I have witnessed DV8 "creators" talk to others around them like trailer-trash, take personally something that NEVER should have been taken personal, resulting in your BANNING from these forums, and then do the same thing you trashed another clan for doing. All the while UF continued their relationship with you, causing me to question Tow and Sniper because in all the time I have been a part of this community, I have NEVER seen them be so lenient with such dispicable behavior. I was beginning to wonder why they were giving DV8 what I saw as "special treatment." What you do not realize is that the only person who looks "desperate" and like an "idiot" is you. Your lack of professionalism is mind-boggling. What you percieve as Tow "controlling those around him" is simply an individual with a very successful tournament site built around "maturity and respect for one another whether on the battlefield or off" and a highly respected clan whose code, "This clan is built on integrity. This family is blanketed by honor. This Circle is submersed in DISCIPLINE." is exhibited by APC'ers both in game and here on the forums. Instead of blasting Tow, it looks like you could certainly learn a thing or two. (And this is coming from a person who has no stake in any of this, someone who is sitting on the outside and looking in at both sides go at it. I don't know anyone on these forums personally. Just stating what I see.) I am happy to see Tow put his foot down and clean house. The trash has needed to be taken out for a while around here and I am glad to see it finally go.

Their songs Copenhagen and Help I'm White and I Can't Get Down are two of their most well known songs. They play Willie Nelson's 4th of July Picnic every year. I've been to four picnics with my dad and it's always fun hanging backstage, watching the show, drinking "water", and "partaking" of Mother Earth's goodness . It's also fun meeting all these country stars whose music I don't really listen to, but they are FAMOUS, hello! And so I eat that up. (I'm a dork like that.) My first picnic, I met Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson (sp?), Emmy Lou Harris, June Carter Cash, Willie, all these icons who I had NO CLUE about. (The first time I was EVER exposed to "Mother Earth's goodness" was at Lana Nelson's (Willie's daughter) house. Her sons had their own house in the back yard!!! and they took me and my sister back there and lit up and I was like, "OMG they are doing drugs!!" Ha Ha!! Soo funny to look back ... good times. (Sorry, didn't mean to go off on a tangent there. I got to reminiscing.)

Now that's funny! I know someone who needs this one.
