  1. Gotta bump this one daily! Possibly multiple times, daily. I'm telling ya! I vote EVERY TIME I see this topic at the top of the page. Otherwise, I forget. And I'm guessing everyone else is thinking the same thing.
  2. Did you see these? Are you the one who's all about the 360? Or is that someone else? https://vbskinworks.com/phpclient/browse_products.php?category_id=1
  3. bump
  4. Personally, I like the idea of the watching the match as it is happening with a delay. That way, everyone can "get together" at the same time and enjoy the match. It would be MUCH more exciting for the spectators AND the players. Think about how hyped everyone gets when we are all here on the forums waiting for those invites to come out. Great bit of excitement, everyone chatting back and forth, ... good times. If the video wasn't posted until say the following day, I wouldn't be watching. Come in here on the puter, watch a video of a match, all by myself. BORING! Of course, I'm just a girl who doesn't think quite like you boys do, so I don't know, maybe the rest of you wouldn't think that's boring. But, at any rate, that's my train of thought.
  5. Here ya go: Final match, "live" with about a 2 minute delay. Now that would be fun and you wouldn't have to worry about strategy and tactics being given away because 1. it is delayed and 2. only one match per tourney is being viewed, thus not allowing a team to study your every move over the course of a tourney.
  6. Thanks for all of the input here. My sister-in-law and I were talking about this and I wanted to see what y'all thought. Thanks!
  7. Yeah, I like too.
  8. If you (or a friend) had a small child (5-6 years old) whose grandparent died, would you take (or think that the parent should take) them to the funeral? Couple of things to consider are that the child and grandparent have a relationship. (See each other enough that child knows the grandparent as opposed to the grandparent being just some person named "Grandpa.") The child knows that the grandparent has died, but obviously doesn't fully grasp the concept of death. I want to know what you all think about this.
  9. Curiosity FINALLY got the best of me and I clicked! Good one there, Wiz azz.
  10. He was doing good until he got to the last "paragraph" and slipped up on the word "really!"
  11. voted again
  12. Uhhhh, don't think so. At least I can't edit.
  13. Well, is it edit, Dude?
  14. I am surprisingly not disgusted by this pic. I am pretty weirded out!
  15. Doubtful. I was reading about the satellite and the article said that in order to even see the satellite being shot down, you would pretty much have to be on the ship shooting it down. Also, I've read that they believe that the largest pieces of the satellite (after they shot it down) were no more than the size of a football. Definitely Regulus and Saturn.
  16. Is no one else going to call shenanigans on this..!? ;D shenanigans! smoke your crazy Tis true. Saturn was the golden looking "star." (If you had a telescope out that night, you could have seen it's rings.) And Regulus was the bright star. Regulus is the brightest star in the constellation Leo (and the nighttime sky but is regularly occulted or hidden by the moon although not always.)
  17. voted again. (BTW, it helps to remind me if you bump this topic daily. )
  18. Nomic, It does suck that what happened, happened. Â Now, without stirring up a bunch of crap or going into any detail, I just want to point out that the actions of the person who broke the rules was not the only time that someone from iMr showed behavior (since this tourney started) that is not appreciated within this community. I point this out because I am not sure if you realize this or not. Â Either way, maybe one day you all can reorganize without the "cancer" and have the opportunity to prove yourselves. Good luck to you all.
  19. Here is what King asked. Obviously this girl is happy with her current relationship and King is the one who has a problem with it. In that case, it is not King's business to step in and tell her to lose this guy because HE doesn't approve. Now if she was coming to King and "crying on his shoulder" about this guy, gentle guidance towards the obvious would certainly be warranted. But stepping into a relationship and voicing his disapproval is straight up putting your nose where it doesn't belong.
  20. We all appreciate our friends opinions on a lot of things, WHEN WE ASK. It has been my experience in life and as a parent that REGARDLESS of what kind of input, advice, or opinions you give a person about any situation that they may be in (especially crappy relationships), people have to go through it and learn for themselves. You can talk until you are blue in the face and VERY rarely will someone decide based on your "opinion" that they will follow your advice and do. If King told his friend today, "Your boyfriend is a loser and you need to dump him because you deserve better," I highly doubt she would say, "Yeah, ok, you're right!" and then dump the boyfriend. Why do you think that therapists never tell a person what they should do? They lead/guide people to the solution through thought provoking questions and conversation. They help people figure it out for themselves. I'm not saying that you should never give your friends opinions or advice. But what I am saying is that 1. you should only give it when asked, and 2. when friends are "crying on your shoulder" they rarely want to hear you tell them what they should do. They usually need someone to listen.
  21. You left out one VERY important piece of information. She CHOOSES to be in this relationship. We teach people how to treat us. If she wasn't putting up with it, he wouldn't be doing it, either because she whipped his bum into shape or she left him and didn't allow him to treat her badly. Be there as a friend when she needs you. Really all you can do.
  22. Are you wanting a publisher to publish it or are your wanting to self-publish your book? Here is a site with GREAT info. on what steps to take to get your book to a publisher. http://www.writeandpublishyourbook.com/publishing/working-with-publishers/how-to-find-publisher-book-publishing/ http://www.writeandpublishyourbook.com/publishing/self-publishing/approaching-agents-publishers-while-self%11publishing/ If you decide to self-publish your book then that's a whole other ball game. You'll need some kind of software like Adobe PageMaker or Adobe InDesign and some knowledge about formatting a book, which can be found online or you can find someone to help you who has experience in this area. (I do Desktop Publishing for a non-profit. More specifically, I format books that have been translated into the six different Indian languages that we publish in. So, I have some experience and knowledge with actually creating a book. We also are partnered with a publishing company, but they publish only Christian material and are VERY specific about who they accept manuscripts from.) Hope the links help!
  23. I didn't even know this could happen. Â I agree that it should be the responsibility of the tourney creators/admins/people running it to address this in the rules, especially if you have a rule that involves no grenade use. If you are offering a tournament for a specific game, then you are the authority on that game and everyone will look to you to be the authority on that game, to know it inside and out, to address in the rules potential issues that may arise based on how that game is played. I know this is the first go around and it's a learning process for everyone right now. Â Maybe if the participants think of this not so much as a winner takes all tournament but more like guinea pigs testing out a wheel, it won't be so hard to lose over something like this. Â And in the meantime, UF can hear the suggestions being made or issues being brought to light and modify the tournament so that things like this will not be an issue in the future. Â (BTW, I know UF DOES listen to and consider the community's thoughts and opinions, but not everyone in the community may know this.)
