The hard line deadline for BREAKOUT sign ups will be two Fridays from this post, October 12th at midnight. At that time, if 32 teams are not signed up, then Breakout will not happen. We re-designed this to the majority's request after the first one was brought down, and surprisingly, we had 3x more teams sign up the FIRST time than we do now. In respect to those who took the time to sign up early and fast, we cannot hold sign ups forever. People's plans and availabilities change, so something they sign up for a month ago might not fit for them by the time the tourney rolls around. On October 12th at midnight, if the required team numbers are not signed up, we will break it all down. > Thank you.

I checked out some of the trailers. I will say it is a very pretty looking game. I'm not one for FPS, though. Gives me a headache. LOL The only thing I could think of when I was watching this trailer http://www.gametrailers.com/player/21505.html was how COOL it would be to see some sort of walking dead game like this.....because some of the environs they were going through looked eerie even in the day light. What are the overall CLAN parameters of this game?

UF4 has reached its final four weeks of the regular weekly play with only 6 clans out of 24 remaining, and those 6 clans are now heading into SUDDEN DEATH WEEK. Besides the always-present risk of losing gunners to PoW camps, now EVERY single war sees a clan losing a territory, as failed attacks now see the attackers losing a territory as well. These final four weeks SHOULD see at least one if not more clans getting their ticket punched, but who knows....we've seen some crazy comebacks already in this tourney! Good luck to the final 6 clans in this last four-week stretch. Whoever comes out on top, you will have earned it. HELL, all SIX of these clans should have earned something by now, and I think that's respect. GO GET 'EM!

It's strictly up to help against the cannibalism we see between many UF clans who typically show courtesy towards one another on forums and in-game, but once a gunner is released somewhere, it seems like all consideration towards the clan letting go/losing that gunner goes out the window. I think this process of putting everything in the gunner's hands is much less confrontational and, quite frankly, rude.

I don't play FF, actually. I just like watching the games. As for eating the Bears for lunch, don't get TOO excited. I know I heard some BOOS from the Lions' crowd when Detroit's offense was on the field for the entire first half and could only muster one field goal, having their second attempt blocked by Chicago. Yes, the Lions pulled it together in the second half, but they had a HARD time scoring against a Bears Defense that was missing its ENTIRE core secondary in Vasher, Tillman and Archuleta as well as Briggs still being out. To their detriment, the Lions should have done FAR FAR better in the first half against a depleted Bears defense and an offense that's getting used to a new QB change. You get the win, but it ain't one you should parade out in the streets for.

NO team currently in UF4 will be eligible for Black III. APC is used by Sniper and I in an "evaluator" capacity and APC is the only clan that will be able to participate in both a tacmap tourney as well as a Black tourney, if we choose to put APC in there. Aside from outside comments from clans about an unknown clan, APC evaluation is the only evaluation I go by in Black III tourneys. And yes......we're still looking for some sign-ups for BREAKOUT. We amended the guidelines and war night parameters to help appease all of those who had problems signing up the first time. We had 25 clans sign up previously.....now we're fielding only about 8 after two weeks now. We really don't know how much more of a sweeter clump of prizes we can offer than a couple hundred bucks for the winners of Breakout and a 32" Flat Panel HD for the winners of UF4. We'll see if we need to put up a free yacht in order to fill out the application requirements for the free Black III tourney.

The Black section is at the bottom of the main forum page and it is now open for Black III clan sign ups! Remember, only 16 clans will be admitted into UF's evaluation tourney, and if you have hopes of making it to the "big game" UF Tacmap tourneys, then Black is where you must start off at! Good luck to all teams signing up! We hope you enjoy the experience!

When we find that it's worth it. We dabbled in Warhawk, and the game proved unworthy. We looked into Vegas, and it's not worth the work we put into this. UF is never scared of going to a next gen game, in fact we look forward to it, but right now it's not WORTH the effort just yet. "With so many going next gen" is a little inflated of a statement right now, considering there's not THAT many that have gone to next gen yet (these systems are getting expensive). The price point of the next gen spreads clans out pretty thin and players aren't yet at that point where they want to leave their "bros" behind simply because some haven't gotten the new system yet. Hell, I think APC only has maybe 10-15 out of our 40+ with a PS3 now, with many of them waiting UNTIL the new Socom comes out. The only parameter we have here with bringing UF to another game is that the game is military-based. Call of Duty is one of those games that fits the bill in that respect, but we have to SEE and PLAY the game before we know if it will benefit UF (and vice versa) in any way, shape or form. Both Warhawk and Vegas....those were both games that players were talking that UF should go to as well, but we waited a few weeks to see the overall opinion of those games and if they would fit into the UF style of things. Both games eventually failed at that. We wait to check out the viability of these games before Sniper and I will dedicate the time to forming a branch of UF all around it. But we're always lookin'!

It's a folding chair but not with a canopy. With the amount of time I spend with Socom, it's better to guy those at $19.99 and wear it out instead of putting a permanent imprint of my ass in my sofa.

Black III sign ups will open this Sunday, Sept. 31st. Sign ups will be done here on the UF forum and the appropriate section to do that in will be present no later than 9pm CST on Sunday night. We're looking forward to seeing a good turn out of clans for this tourney. And remember......it's a party, so bring a friend! (As in, bring a new clan or two to the community)
