I had Linksys for a while and had some spotted problems here and there. When I went to MicroCenter, the sales assoc. there talked me into getting a Buffalo wireless system. That was about 2 yrs ago, and I have had great luck with it. The sales assoc. there told me that there are some specifications to the Buffalo that make it excellent in an online gamer's perspective, as that was the main focus I told him I had in mind for my wireless connection. I was careful about it, as I had not heard about Buffalo before, be he swore up and down on their reliability and quality, and from the store, I checked out their website. I walked out with it....and never had to walk back in with problems.

CoD4 is one of the games we will be reviewing for potential inclusion into the Urgent Fury tournaments. UF, for the foreseeable future, will not be treading into Xbox waters. We will be viewing CoD4 on the PS3 platform for potential inclusion here in UF. In case some of you who love what we do here in UF want to weigh some of their decision with that in mind. I, personally, have my copy on reserve and will be getting this week for my PS3.

The Clan Reps have PMed me and this will be the line-up for the championship match between JyK and APC tonight at 8pm CST: Map 1: Citadel - Control (JyK chooses sides) Map 2: Fault - Control (APC chooses sides) Map 3: Echelon - Demo (JyK chooses sides) Map 4: Tidal Fury - Demo (APC chooses sides) Map 5: Prowler - Suppression (Tie Breaker) A UF Staff member will be making the room tonight and both clans are to be prepared and ready to green up no later than 10 minutes after eight. Both clans will have 5 minutes between each map to sub in guys if they desire. I believe UF Staffers will be here on the forum updating a thread with round-by-round accounts of the war in progress.....and of course, the match will most likely be recorded. Both the championship match as well as both semi-final matches'v videos will be posted in a week or so. Good luck to both clans tonight. UF4: PoW has been UF's most successful and most smooth-running tourney to-date. We're very proud of all clans who participated and we're very anxious to see who will take the gold home after tonight's 5-map war. No shit, right? I LOVE that original song! HEY UP, HEY YA, DUN WAH, BE YA (or however it went LOL) I like this show. It was a decent alternative to "Over There" when that got canceled from FX, which in my opinion, way outdid The Unit.

Cool commercial.....gives it a little more punch. STILL a fan of the exploding crows commercial, though.

I would hope you visit once in a while as well.....consdiering CoD4 is the game that UF wants to develop tourneys for next, as long as its game play coincides with what we do here. So hopefully you don't stray TOO far.

APC's semi-final match last night had us facing <N>, the #3 seed in the final four. Throughout UF4, APC had always considered <N> a worthy opponent. We never once, in attack or especially defense, never took these guys for granted and never counted a war against them as an "automatic win." We never rotated guys into an <N> war in order to make sure they got their UF4 face-time in. Against <N>, we always, ALWAYS, put in our best. <N> frequent the UF.COM rooms that APC puts up nightly, and we share a good relationship with many of their members. It was gonna be a fun war.......and it wasn't. Couldn't tell you how much I was stressing with my APCers in our pre-war lobby before we entered the UF room. Stressing the basics....stressing the fundamentals....stressing the jobs and duties. <N> and APC congratulated one another before the first map, letting the other know that they recognized and appreciated how far the other had come. For all the hard work, both teams wanted to get to the final match-up, no matter who the opponent was going to be. It was TENSE in that lobby, and when that first map launched, and the tv lit up and 13 APCers in front of me headed off in their respective directions in front of me, I knew that though we came prepared as all hell, Hell was actually waiting about 200m on the other side of the map. I just wrote this to give <N> their props in the tourney, but ESPECIALLY in being our opponents in the semi-final match-up. In a potential 5-map war, there was NO better place to play it than in UF, where we knew no matter the odds, the numbers, the map or the situation, we were going to see a fair war against these guys. And what was GREAT about last night's war, which should say VOLUMES about this clan.....is not ONCE did I hear a single APCer cry foul about a lag situation, a questionable shot around a wall, suspicious "how did he know I was there" callouts and sighs of "whatever!" Not a ONE. Eevry match-up was legit, every kill was dead on and unquestionable and every map was smooth as silk. Win or lose last night, APC would not have been asking itself "what if" afterwards because of questionable play or lag. Last night was a clean war and we appreciated every minute of it. Best of accolades to <N> from A Perfect Circle. We consider you all LETHAL adversaries and, if some of your key gunners were not already PoWs, we KNOW that there was a DAMN good chance for an alternate outcome to last night's war. No question. Thank you for providing the war that you did, in the manner that you did it. That war last night was/IS the REASON that Sniper and I continue to make this tourney, and the reason that I continually LOVE logging in for the UF war of the night, no matter who it's against. Hats off, <N>. You guys deserve a break and vacation. Though past UFs saw clans battling for 30+ weeks, and this tourney was designed to have a 13-week limit, it doesn't mean the wins and losses in this tourney were less felt. Every war we had against you guys was a class-act. And as I said after the war last nigt, we BETTER continue to see you all here in the UF Community. I, as a creator, would hate to lose your presence here. Good job, Nightstalkers. We'll try to honor your loss last night with a win on Thursday. - TOW

I have spoken with some of the video artists from last night's Semi-Final matches..... The videos for these will NOT be posted before the Championship match, so that tactics used by JyK and APC aren't displayed to see before the big match. The video artists will hold onto their productions until AFTER the championship match before showing any of the Staff or creators, and then, the public. Letting you all know. But we WILL be releasing three videos of the three matches, most likely.

NEO, you should put up a play-by-play game thread Hmmmmmm, I don't see anything wrong with that, as long as it's not explaining rounds AS they're happening......when a round ends, an update could go up. Sure.

All I can say is....that <N> war had APCers psyched and nervous as hell. With what went down in UF3, ending everything prematurely over some clans' immature antics, and with APC running it for 30 weeks, a lot of my guys felt cheated when Sniper and I shut it all down. They promised me that they were coming for blood in UF4.....and thus far, they haven't disappointed me. I can only imagine that the intensity before the launch of this Thursday's war will reach, if not dwarf, the intensity APC felt before launching against <N> last night. Â No matter what, it WILL be an intense match-up. There were no upsets last night with APC or JyK, the top two clans in regards to standings, so Thursday's war will be between the top two clans statistically. Â APC, the running leaders for the majority of the tourney, against JyK, the upstarts who came in and rocked everyone's world in the last 3 weeks. Â It will INDEED be intense. Â So intense that part of me wishes I was just WATCHING this match instead of playing in it so I can save some of my finger nails! LOL
