Ok.....so I have a few of my favorite episodes of Urgent Frequency saved on my iPod. About four or five of them, mainly for my most favorite spoofs and such. Just yesterday morning I was smiling my ass off over the Streetsweeper Poll spoof as well as the X-Mas tribute we did for the troops and such. Listening to some of those episodes got me CHARGED as I pulled into a parking lot. And then out came the pad and out came the pen. And the next Urgent Fury TACMAP tourney was concocted. MANY of you have been clamoring for a return to the lovely United States....and I'm happy to say that the next UF TACMAP tourney WILL be returning to the familiar shores, with the familiar state lines being the borders between AOs. We will, of course, put our own UF-stank on its appearance, but guys......Sniper and I are CHARGED about what was comin' out of me yesterday. And I'd like to share it with you. As with every TACMAP tourney, we like to change things up every now and then. The next TACMAP tourney will be titled: "Urgent Fury - Chain Reaction." Essentially, UF6. GOD, I want to tell you guys so much and yet I have to stick to my own damn principles and keep it all under wraps. Not even UF Staff know at this point, which is usually the case, and most likely will not know until well into me writing the first draft of the rules. One thing is for certain, as well, and that's that Sniper and I are going to make sure we're not going to see some 3-5 month lapse between TACMAP tourneys. Sign-ups for Chain Reaction will be hitting clans of UF around the time that Riot Act finishes, so clans can have a few weeks to rest up and vacation....and then Chain Reaction hits within about a month from Riot Act's end. It'll be our most ambitious schedule yet, and we're ready for it. Ok, I'm stopping now. We're leaking the title and the AO. UF: Chain Reaction......set in the U.S. That's it. And we're looking SO forward to it! The excitement is killing us.

Just to alleviate some fears/worries/desires/wishes..... Urgent Fury started on SOCOM. Urgent Fury LOVES SOCOM. It's where a lot of the clans in Urgent Fury first met and created the relationships, good or bad, that we see today. SOCOM will ALWAYS have the love of Urgent Fury, without a single doubt. As for CoD4....many people can say CoD4 is a "tide-over" game, but hell, we're all enjoying it. And at the end of the night, you're not really enjoying the game to its fullest as much as you are enjoying the COMPANY you're keeping online while gaming. I log in not to "hone my gaming skills to utter perfection," but rather to hear my friends online as we joke, talk and, yes, play some serious games as well. At the end of it all, as long as CoD4 has its following here at UF, then here at UF we'll continue to make tourneys for it, both eval and TACMAP tourneys. NOW.....here's the kicker. We have seen a LOT of clans here make a complete switch over from SOCOM to CoD4, even if it's just for an interim period of time. We're EXPECTING many clans here in UF to make a similar, all-encompassing switch when the new SOCOM comes out, meaning, clans will change their format completely over to SOCOM and basically leaving CoD4 behind. If this happens, then there may be 3-5 clans who are CoD4-ONLY clans that may be left out in the cold a bit because, honestly, Urgent Fury CANNOT continue to support a game with evaluation and TACMAP tourneys when there's only FIVE clans here that want to play it. That's why we ALWAYS say over and over again, IF YOU FIND A GOOD CLAN ONLINE, INVITE THEM TO THIS TOURNAMENT SITE. It's how we grow. You don't have to view that as "if it gets TOO busy here, our clan might not get an invite to a tourney." That's not true. We look to accommodate the general flow of clan activity here at UF. It would be BEAUTIFUL to see that a good number of clans here make that complete switch over to the new SOCOM, and there is still a good pool of 12-20 clans here at UF who will still support CoD4 100%. That's a PERFECT reason to continue to run support of CoD4 here at UF. But in the end, that's really up to the CLANS and not so much us. UF is ready, willing and able to accommodate BOTH CoD4 and SOCOM simultaneously, but the NEED has to be there. If the need's not there, then we'd be wasting our time and effort on something that won't be worth it, when we can put that time and energy into the tourney that is generating the traffic for us.

Man..... I have been going through life thinking I was pretty sure I like the ladies. I mean, I've dated them for so long. Hell, even married one once....but now after all this, I think I might find that she was nothing more than a "beard" for me. In the end, it either didn't matter or it was simply wasted time when I could have been focusing all my efforts on the real prize of my affections. You see...it all came crashing down around me tonight when, while online for CoD4, and a public match started with a few APCers at my side, we embarked on a Domination map. I think all I said was "all right guys, let's get it" and then some random voice from some random player paired with us answered with a "yeah, let's get it, ya fuckin' faggot." I really did try to explain my hardest to him that I really wasn't a homosexual and I really did, in fact, like girls. That's what I was telling myself, I guess, when I was hip-deep in one this weekend. But, reality hit me in the face harder than a shaft in the face than I supposedly crave. Over and over again, no matter what I said that was game-related, the glaring truth kept echoing in my ears as this mystery player reminded me how much of a faggot I was, how much my mom was a slut and how much my dad liked it up the ass when this player was fucking my mom. To think, i never thought of all this stuff when I would think from time to time just how I got to turn out the way I did in life. A homosexual. I guess past really does dictate present. ;D On a serious note......does anyone REALLY enjoy playing in public rooms anymore? I guess this is more geared towards the UF crowd than your typical gamer, where here we TRY to play a good, respectful game. Problem is, that is almost non-existent out in the pubby lobbies. It's just disheartening. Am I wrong when I say that it used to be SO much easier to come across a good, small group of guys that would come into your clan's custom SOCOM room and play a few maps...and both clans find that the other is pretty cool and of the same mind? And that those were the clans we would ask to come to UF? Does it seem that this is a little HARDER to do here on CoD4? Is it because lobbies fall and crumble too quickly after matches that parties continually have to be reformed and you never really get to talk to a good opponent you come across before they disappear from your screen? APC has been playing ALMOST exclusively in our own private rooms, with quite a few players from UF clans coming in to join the fun. We really only play in pubby rooms when we have 2-6 players on at one time. Anything more than that, hell, sometimes we even do it at 6 players, and we make our own room and enjoy the comfort of straight up gaming, with good strat, no shit talking and good fun. Sometimes I just get amazed at what one little man sitting alone in his room can say over the mic to a complete stranger. I say "alone" because I can only HOPE he's alone. Otherwise, he's got a wife, girlfriend, kids or parents within earshot of him saying the most juvenile, idiotic shit while he's wearing a headset sitting in front of his tv....trying to be mouth-tough. And to me, there's not a whole lot of other images to me that's more pathetic and comical than that. Honestly. Anyway.....that's my semi-rant for the evening. By buying the mag, is this a GUARANTEED invite to the Beta testing, or just an entry into some sort of lottery or random pick? I haven't read the article, but the question popped into my head. It's hard to believe that they would/could potentially allow hundreds of thousands of salivating SOCOM addicts a guaranteed spot for beta testing.

The clan sign up sections for both Crucible-3 for CoD4 on the PS3 and Black VI for SOCOM on the PS2 are now open to all clans for applications, found on the forum in their own sections. Sign ups are running two weeks for Black VI and about 3 weeks for Crucible-3 (giving clans who may be eliminated from Riot Act enough time to sign up if they are bounced). Dates for how long sign-ups will go on are posted in the respective sections of the forum. Good luck!

From now on when reporting your Riot Act Wars, please INCLUDE the template given in the reports section to make it easier to discern who has won what. Many clans were just filling in the answers, but please include the template as well so that it looks something like this: And the posts should include: 1: The attackers: XYZ 2: The defenders: ABC 3: AO fought over: GARBAGE POW 4: Winner: XYZ 5: POWs, if any, taken in this war: 2 6: Number of server/host drops for the duration of this match: 0 Please follow this template EXACTLY. This will help keep the tournament running smoothly and the UF Staff able to decipher what is being reported. Thank you all!

The schedule for the kickoff week for wars is now up in the Riot Act INFO CENTER. I'd like to wish all clans the very best of luck in this first week. And no worries to anyone....NO ONE gets eliminated in the first week. ;D Come second week, though, depending on how you do in week one, it's all up in the air from there. GOOD LUCK, UFers! The following rule has been inserted into the Rule Sets at #12. The original Rule Set 12 and all rules following that are simply bumped down by one number. The new Rule Set 12 is as follows: Rule Set 12: ALLOWED AND RESTRICTED WEAPONS A: All guns and attachments are acceptable for this UF tourney except for the following: > Grenade launchers are NOT allowed for use in ANY match in Riot Act. Using this weapon will cause your clan to forfeit the match. This includes grenades of ANY kind (boom, smoke) that are restricted from play when launched from a grenade launcher mounted on a weapon. B: Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPG's) are legal in this UF tourney play. C: All C4 and claymores are allowed for this UF tourney play. D: There are no primary weapons restricted from this UF tourney play. This excludes a grenade launcher attachment. Please inform your clansmen.

That's a freebie, Hi-Def. We will not take kindly to being called "unprofessional" again. Not from ANYONE from this entire situation. Whatever is said in private is said in PRIVATE. You can send someone a PM and say I'm a cockmaster and you know what? That's your opinion and your right and I cannot change that. But if you say it in public, then that's a whole different manner. Sniper and I both read and re-read the horrible threads in question and at NO time did anyone go off the way that Asian Apple went off. I don't recall anyone....ANYONE on those threads calling her a bitch, telling her to go lick a cunt, telling her to go fuck herself, calling her a whore, or an asshole, or a psycho-slut or ANYTHING like that. If they did, and SOMEHOW Sniper and I missed it in having to read every single one of those posts by everyone, then you bring it up to us and yes, they'll get banned. However, from what we saw, the only person telling people to go fuck themselves, calling people assholes and telling people to go suck a dick......was Asian. And she was banned for it. And yes, it was publicly notified, as are ALL bans, so that all people here LEARN what can and cannot be done while on THIS forum. Through ALL of this, Urgent Fury has done NOTHING BUT uphold a professional attitude. And quite frankly, Urgent Fury was one of the ONLY ones to uphold a professional attitude, not getting INTO the cat fight, but our Staff were in the trying to DIFFUSE it. Apple got upset because of a tiff that should have existed only between iLL and LPK or iLL and UF. In the end, the whole dropping out of Crucible-2 had nothing to do with Dv8. WE were letting YOU in on the match to record it for YOUR show. The match didn't happen, we MOVE ON. Asian's remarks were uncalled for and, provoked or not, she could have kept her cool here. NO ONE gets away with ANYTHING here in UF. If people here were talking to Asian the way she was talking to them, we would have HANDLED it. That's why there's NEVER a need to exacerbate the situation by firing back and forth at one another. She should have known that. The HIGH road. The COOL temper. Things that I reminded here that I spoke to her about in my attempt to help you guys out on the last British Tournament meltdown you all had. You let it GET to you. She let this GET to her. And now you create this post. It seems that both of you either get riled pretty easily, always think people are targeting you, or you simply have short fuses. You should take up the habit of just CHILLING OUT. You show me what was said that was TRULY out of order. Not what you THINK was out of order, but TRULY out of order, and we'll examine that.
