Sorry, but that leaves the forum a little open for some "questionable" offerings at times. We still monitor what gets posted here and, if they're links, it's not as urgent fur us to get to it as if it were blaring right on your screen right here on the forums. We still have the occasional community member who likes to push the limits of what we consider decent here and, as always, we want the forum to be viewable ANYWHERE you happen to be. Tow, it's nothing different from someone posting a link. The user or browser would still have to click to have it play. It's a great mod on SMF's part. All it does is allow the forum browser to view the video while still in the thread ... it doesn't take them away from your site just to watch it. So in terms of moderation, there is absolutely no difference than a link or a preloaded video embedded in the thread. You're not getting it. That, again, is NOT what we want. We don't want someone embedding a video that we (and most likely THEY) know is improper for this forum, but there it is, and no matter if someone is looking at the forum at work, with a child in their lap or their kid is browsing the last thing they left up on their screen....you have some donkey getting its pole sucked off by some drunk chick wearing snow boots and a sombrero. It's staring you RIGHT in the face as you scroll down, and we make it a point to not get anyone in hot water by simply coming to our forums. With a LINK, they have a CHOICE on whether or not to click it. Hopefully this made more sense.

Man, I thought I was a little behind here when I read everything and I was thinking....."yeah, I still type http://www." However, you guys are talking about typing in a new address into your browser, right? Because if that's the case, then no. But if I'm typing up an address on a post and I want to make it easier on them (and me by not having to hyperlink it) then I just type out www with the address. That what you guys are talking about?

Hey everyone! We realize that the launch date for both these newest tourneys was 06-18, but we were awaiting more applications before launching. In an effort to potentially help boost that number, I'd like to inform all clans now that we will be running BOTH the upcoming Black for SOCOM and the upcoming Crucible-3 for PS3's CoD4 at 5v5 matches, NOT the typical 8v8. We're thinking that this might be deterring some from signing up as many of their clan are now playing GTA4 and MGS. Hopefully, this reduced number of gunners needed for a war will boost some apps....even some of those clans that are currently in the Riot Act. Again, all wars for the upcoming Black and Crucible-3 will be 5v5. We will send out invitations for these two tourneys on JULY 1st, 2008. Thanks for waiting guys! We know there are some here who are looking to gun in up in these no-bombs tourneys, as well as some newcomers looking to establish themselves here at UF. In July, you'll get your chance.

It is Transformers, how can it not be great? Oh, c'mon.....let's not be blind consumers here. I mean, I liked Transformers as well....but the story wasn't ALL that. It was summer CG craziness and that was about it. And I LIKE Michael Bay films, but face it, the guy isn't known for his heavy-laden stories.....he's known for his explosions and slo-mo "I'm about to save the day" frames or "I just lost everything dear to me" midsections. Some people just don't jump on cash cows......some just like to break in their own mustangs. I can respect that.

I was able to do this with the older version of Firefox, unless you weren't running Firefox before in the first place. And Hannibal, I too was looking for some themes, as I don't typically like a bright layout like the white. I always appreciate a darker or black border for my theme....so I'm patiently waiting as well. I think they'll only need a week or so. Just think when people were first making themes for the PS3. Too a bit while people were making them in the beginning.....now it's almost impossible to view them all in one sitting.

cBF, in failing in their last attack of this week, was eliminated tonight from the Riot Act tourney. I'd like to thank you guys for showing up for the dance and giving it your all. cBF has, in a short amount of time, gained a huge chunk of respect from Urgent Fury and many of its Community clans, and we can only hope you guys are having a fun time here as well, win or lose. Better luck in the next tourney and we hope to see you all in it. And heck....UF: RONIN's details get released real soon and hopefully a lot of your guys will be pumped up for it. I post EVERY ONE that gets sent in. I WILL say, as I said above, that we get NUMEROUS submissions where nothing is filled in. But rest assured, if it gets filled out correctly and sent, then it gets added.

I will have you ALL beat.....and I only read about half of these but I just KNOW that by reading the title of the thread, I will have you beat......surely out of pure hilarity. Back in SOCOM, co-founder of APC Merlin was at my place. We were playing under my name with a few other APCers in a random room. In the middle of the map, out of NOWHERE, this guy who sounded a little African American, a little pissed and, quite honestly, a little slow or retarded, shot me (well, Merlin PLAYING as me) in the back of the head when he was on my team. He TKed me. Merlin looks at me and lets me know, as I was tending to other things, and said "this dude just TKed you. You know this guy? He's yelling at you and shit." So I put the headset on and Merlin mics in for me. I ask him why he TKed me. He then says....and I'll put this in quotes because I will NEVER forget this, and Merlin and I joke about this on a number of occasions..... "UNDERTOW! I knew this day would come! I have found you! I am here to kill you!" So I said...."dude, don't even know who the FUCK you are, man!" He says "Nuh-uh, I have it written down on my piece of paper right here. It says 'Undertow - kill him'." Merlin and I laughed our asses off for the rest of the night, trying to mimic his voice and everything. APCers instantly asked me if I wanted him TKed and then booted from the room. I laughed and said "no, this guy is HILARIOUS! I want him in here!" And he kept TKing me, mic-ing in only to laugh like some demented weirdo. I miss that guy. He's lived to this day in our memories...and brings a laugh to us every time we talk about it.

If you have not yet completed a UF tourney, then your NETWORK request will just be disgarded. 2: There are a LOT of clans who don't seem to know what "URL" means. It's not a space to put your clan tag in and it's not a space to leave blank. It's the address for your website. - TOW

1: I think it's actually a 60G common problem with the overheating, isn't it? That particular model? I think that's why they discontinued it. My own 60G overheated on me back when, so I now have a 40G. 2: I do not own a fan....however, I DID get some VERY good (and logical) advice on these "PS3-savers." Make certain that you have a fan that plugs into the wall under its OWN POWER CORD....not one powered by the PS3 itself through some USB jack. Basically, all you're doing if you have a USB jacked fan is USING power from the PS3 to cool down the PS3's power USE. A little redundant there. You're making your PS3 work HARDER in order to cool itself off. I think the PS3-plugged-in fans are just plain senseless. There are models out there that work independently, and those are the ones to get. 3: I also keep mine in open-air ventilation. I don't keep it in a cabinet or anything where the warmth can have a hard time escaping.

That is a GREAT rendering job! However, to geek out on ya a bit here, I thought the Constructicons were all Decepticons, not Autobots. Didn't they form up to create "Devastator?" Or am I thinking of someone else?

There was definitely an interest in various strategies used by different clans when we made up the "riot act" aspect of this tourney. You want to deprive clans of their best gunners when you beat them....but you MAY have to face those very same gunners in a POW break out. SO.....how do you choose? The first Riot Act week will be an interesting one to say the least. I'm looking forward to it.

LOL......... All I will say is THIS: You can pretty much pre-order ANYTIME.....right? So, I would just say maaaybeee wait a little bit....until July 1st.....to see if you want to pre-order then or not. JUST a tip.

It had slipped past my attention these first three weeks, everyone, but the 13-week schedule for Riot Act had not been posted by Urgent Fury. I have since remedied this. By current updated standings, we now have a total of TWENTY EIGHT POWs taken into camps by the clans of UF5: Riot Act. That's ALMOST a whole clan's worth of players in and of itself! Nice work to all the clans making off with some bodies!
