This upcoming Tuesday.....July 1st...... > The start of the bi-weekly UF Blog will start up and be routinely posted up on the UF website under the Blog tab. Stop by to read, post a comment. These will be done every 1st and 15th of every month. > UF: RONIN -finally- will make its full appearance as well as produce its own sign-up section. REMEMBER, this is a tourney designed for BOTH CoD4 on the PS3 and SOCOM: Combined Assault on the PS2. A prize of a pre-ordered copy of SOCOM: CONFRONTATION will be awarded to the winner of each individual tourney for the PS3 and the PS2. We simply CAN'T wait to unveil this for you. > The UF DOSSIERS page will be put up on the 1st as well. The UF Dossiers page on the UF website will feature not one, but TWO Urgent Fury player personalities each and every month. The first two we've chosen are long-time mainstays here at UF and we're happy they were able to oblige! And that's about it. The COMMAND section of the UF website is still slated to take shape sometime IN July. This will be the page that will showcase ALL the winners of each and every UF TACMAP tourney to-date. The winners of UF: Riot Act will find themselves the next champions to walk into UF's pantheon. Tuesday won't get here soon enough! - TOW

Thanks for posting this up! I didn't know. Now I don't have to keep deleting people.....I really hate that.

Goat has been busy with his business, but he's still getting to the forum on a daily basis.

This happened to me at McDonald's. I bit into a fish sandwich. There was a lead pin in there. I took it back to the location asking for my money back and a new sandwich, but not before taking pictures of it with my camera phone. They gave me enough trouble that I talked to a friend who gave me a very good lawyer here in Chicago whose sole purpose is to litigate fast food chains. Since I wasn't hurt, he told me that whatever settlement, if ANY at all, would be very small. 3 months later, I received my check for a few grand. It's what I bought all my PS3 hardware and games with, aside from a few other things. SO......give it a try? I will say this, though....the lead pin and the black grease on it were parts indicative of McDonald's machinery typically found on the premises. They couldn't dispute that. A fingernail OUT of the location? Yeah, you may get some scrutiny on that one. But....you never know unless you try.

I just received word that Cmdr. Fury SHOULD make his return in 1-2 weeks. He's getting anxious!

As stated in the "UF rips it up in July" thread, plans are on-schedule for the active return of the UF Blog. We're going to use the UF Blog much like many developers out there use their Blogs, to connect with their fans and spill some dirt on the process of creating their games. So, too, will Urgent Fury use its blog to open up its creative doors and give the players of UF a unique glance into the inner workings of what it takes to make, arguably, the best scenario TACMAP tourney out there. I'll be handling the bulk of the blog writing for as long as time permits. If and when I get too bogged down in another TACMAP creation, I can easily turn and rely on the UF Staff to contribute to the blog as well. Don't worry, I'll only let Goat and his Bible-long posts grace the UF Blog only when I'm truly pissed off. LOL Rest assured that there will be PLENTY of stuff written about the upcoming TACMAP tourney, Urgent Fury: Chain Reaction. I keep plugging away at this new TACMAP tourney and am really liking the way it's all turning out. Lots of changes from recent TACMAP tourneys, so I think a lot of you will be surprised. I'll see what I can leak out in the Blog. Look to see a new article up on the UF Blog every 1st and 15th of each month. - TOW

Plaques, shirts and strippers? Urgent Fury might need to hire Hollow Ground to organize the festivities for the UF meet in August! LOL

I know this happened last week, but we've been swamped with the UF goings on here and I'm catching up. Hollow Ground went down as the third clan eliminated from Riot Act while in the middle of their third week in this tourney. I, for one, was shocked to see what I thought was one of the tougher clans fall to the might of some others. Hollow Ground has become a welcome fixture here in Urgent Fury and I sincerely hope you gentlemen had a good time during Riot Act. Hope to see you in the next tour already getting planned out for the United States entitled: Chain Reaction. And hurry! There's still time to keep your boys busy by signing up for either Crucible or Black! Give \H/ a hand for going as far as they did. Good job, guys.

LOL.... I was waitin' for that too.

GOOD. Because he sure isn't what you'd call a model law enforcement officer. And that video showed me only one thing......Shaq sure is one FLY rapper.....he sure knows how to throw rhymes up for the word "me." LOL

Yes, but my laughter left the building a long time ago. :'(

Well, we were originally thinking UF dog tags. A custom design on the front and back of one dog tag per player that showed "UF Riot Act champs" on there in some way, shape or form....and a few people from the community sent in PMs thinking it would be an idea. However, the more we thought about it, the more we thought that dog tags would have just been an impractical idea. So you win a dog tag.....what will you do with it? Put it on your key chain? Ask your wife if you can hang it on the basement bathroom mirror because you KNOW she won't let you put it in the master bedroom mirror? Throw it onto your mantle of trophies in the den next to your bowling league 2nd place trophy and your World's Best Dad trophy? Or will it just eventually find its way to the back of the utility drawer, never to be seen again until you're cleaning your place out while you're packing to move? We tried to think outside the box a bit....to find something that people can USE. We came up with shot glasses. Doesn't matter if you're in college or a father of six, everyone can (and do) use a shot glass. And unlike someone who is a closet gamer who DOESN'T want to explain to everyone just what does "UF Riot Act Champ" mean on your keychain....because we know that just snags ALL the girls....on a shot glass, no one CARES what's on it, they just care what's IN it. We like the shot glass idea very much and we're happy that we can budget TWO glasses per player for the winning team. We'll be very excited the day these are shipped to the winners and we can hopefully get a good group shot of a few hands toasting their UF victory. CHEERS!

Yeah, but I read it as "Swishy Bar." "Suishi Bar," as you typed it, and I thought it was funny. It is no longer funny..... ;D

So, in the beginning of Urgent Fury: Riot Act, we announced two things..... 1: That the entry fee to cover all the creation/maintenance of the TACMAP tourney would be $25. 2: That aside from the returned entry fees for the winner and runner up, there would be no prize. Soooooooo, we lied on one of those. ;D Considering you've already paid your $25, it looks like #2 is the fib. We'd like to let all UF: Riot Act clans know that there WILL be a prize OTHER than the returned fees of both the winning and runner-up clan. The WINNING championship clan of UF: Riot act will be shipped a total of -64- offical Urgent Fury: Riot Act shot glasses. As the prelim designs are still being finalized, I can give you a very general idea of what they will look like. They will be clear glass with the orange UF fist logo in the center. On the top of the logo, it will read: "UF: Riot Act" On the bottom of the logo, it will read: "Champions" And YES, these will be limited to JUST the final, winning clan of the Riot Act TACMAP tourney. The winning clan will be issued a total of 64 of these shot glasses, ideally, so that each participating member of a clan's 32-man roster will have a set of TWO (who likes to drink alone?). We say "ideally" because we will ship these out to the clan leader or Clan Rep, and they will distribute them amongst their clan...we do not instruct them in the ways of fair rationing. We're very excited about including this in the winning package for the Riot Act champions, along with the refunded $25 fee and as well as a permanent plaque in the website section that will be featuring all of the past TACMAP winners of every TACMAP tourney for Urgent Fury to-date. That section, again, will be up in July. SO.....for those still in the tourney, get back to work! Because if you WIN, you can imbibe the "spirits" of Urgent Fury a little more intimately pretty soon than just uttering the motto. Pull the trigger...nothing but head shot! 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Cmdr Fury WILL be returning soon. I touched upon that in the "UF rips it up in July" thread. And what the HELL is a "Suishi Bar??" Is that in boy's town?

I thought this guy was a comical genius. This is sad. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080623/ap_on_en_tv/obit_george_carlin

The "coolness" and "ease" of not having to go to another window or tab for any links posted here do not outweigh the attention to respect and decency we try to uphold here for the UF community members, that's all. We're comfortable with some people here being a little inconvenienced by having to simply click on a little link for the sake of the general populace here not being offended, or inadvertently offending someone else by having it on their screen outside of their realm of control.

Are you talking about CoD4 here or a porn shoot?
