Home and PS3 Firmware 2.50 Arriving In Late October?

Perhaps we'll see Home and firmware on whatever the release date is for SOCOM. -
Unfortunately, Ed Hocculi made the bad call and league rules didn't allow him to correct it. That's the nature of the beast. From his vantage point it may have looked like Cutler's arm was going forward and he called it the way he saw it at the time. These plays happen quick. A lot of people are making it seem like he blew the review also, but once he blew that whistle, the ball was dead. At lease he admitted his mistake to the coach, apologized for it, and from what I've read he is even replying to all the hate mail he's been getting. He's beating himself up over it and I feel bad for the guy.

Starting out, you create your "toon". A lot of customization options for facial features. You also get a few options as far as your clothing and accessories. Then you spawn in your apartment. Mine is a one room deal that overlooks a bay, pretty sweet. When you leave it puts you in the middle of town. There is a proximity chat feature, but I'm not sure if too many people use it. I walked around talking, but I only heard one person. You can chat with a keyboard, use the controller, or use some of the preset messages. There are also animations you can do like clapping, pointing and dancing. I went to the arcade and did some bowling. That was fun. You go to a lane and enter the game and wait for others to join. You can bowl in the meantime, but it doesn't keep score until someone else joins. There are also pool tables, but those were all full, so I wasn't able to shoot pool. There are also arcade machines that you can get on and play little video games. There's a mall you can go into and get clothes, accessories, and furniture for your house. Not too many options right now. Everything in the beta is free. I don't know how you would go about getting money for stuff in the final version. As you walk around in the city, there are big video screens that show game previews and there's a music station. I haven't had too much of a chance to play with it, but I'll give more details later.

I just got a Home beta invite for downloading the Home theme. Just thought I'd share.

The game takes place between episodes 3 and 4. You are Darth Vader's secret apprentice who is being sent across the galaxy to kill the remaining Jedi as part of your training. Since Vader doesn't want the Emperor to know about you, you kill everyone, imperial and rebel alike. As you play you earn experience which goes towards leveling up. When you level up, you get force points which can be used to increase your force powers. You spend the points however you want towards new combo attacks, abilities, and health/regeneration powers. That about sums it up. To start out, you have force push, force grip, force run, and your lightsaber. What's cool is that you earn more experience for finding different ways to kill using your abilities. That about sums it up.

Finally got past that second boss. It was a pain. I've got the PS3 version coming from gamefly, so I'm done until it gets here. Awesome game.

Anyone else playing this? It's an awesome game, unfortunately I'm going to have to pass the controller to the wife when she gets home. I'm stuck on the second boss, Kazdan Paratus.

I thought that, but so far, it's been all about HUMAN ability. No aliens. So far. The X-files was just about weird shit, not just aliens. The aliens was the long term storyline, but the weekly series was just about weird paranormal events. You're right in that aliens aren't involved, yet, but the X-files I think is about the most comparable show. Maybe a cross between X-files and Lost.

I wouldn't really call it a cross between Heroes and Lost. I'd say it's more like the X-Files.

For those who don't like Tiger Woods, but still want to play some golf, we've been playing Hot Shots Golf. The only issue is the lack of in game chat so we've used both xbox live and yahoo chat to make up for that shortcoming. Otherwise, it's a great game. -
I assume it's a card that gives you "money" to spend in the Playstation Store online.

It comes out in September right? Or did it get pushed yet again? I've had this game reserved since it's original release date last August.
