Agreed, but I think the Bulls can play right there with anyone not named Cleveland in the conference. I LAUGH at all the so-called "experts" that picked the Celtics to sweep or win in 5. Stephan A. Smith (self proclaimed genius ) and Barkley didn't have the Bulls winning a single game. Now these experts say the Bulls will never win in Boston (Games 5 and 7). I mean are they really that simple minded? The Bulls took Game 1 and lost Game 2 on a last second shot in Boston earlier in the series. Now it's a guarantee they won't win in Boston?! Give me a break.

What's Your Most Anticipated Game Coming Up?

I have a game that just topped my list: Red Dead Redemption Red Dead Revolver was one of my favorite PS2 games and the best western game out to date (GUN didn't even compare). I was looking through Gamefly's "coming soon" and spotted it. Check it: http://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption/ http://ps3.ign.com/objects/748/748481.html- 64 replies

Man he definitely pisses on his own balls... :-X

At the suggestion of numerous clanmates and friends I'm going to demo it. Most likely I'll rent it first though if I do like it.

Yup, we got the Canucks in round 2. I would be ecstatic if the Ducks can pull off a Cinderella by taking out Detroit. First thing is first though, the Hawks need to take care of business in Vancouver. I see the Hawks winning it in 6. Now tomorrow hopefully Da Bulls can swing the series back to Chicago with a 3-2 lead, with a win tomorrow night (6 PM CST on TNT)! All this action and the NFL draft has taken my attention off the miserable play of the Cubs. :-[

We will see about all that Hotwire. Oh and... HAWKS WIN IN 6 AFTER A 4-1 WHOOPING OF THE FLAMES TONIGHT!!! THE BULIN WALL STRIKES AGAIN!

WOW another incredible game. Bulls send it back to Boston tied 2-2 with the momentum back in our favor. MAN I'm pumped up.

Or maybe they are hoping the tandem cover will break the curse? -
The Detroit Lions reached an agreement with Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford to make him the first pick in the NFL draft on Saturday. According to a source, Stafford will receive a six-year, $41.7 million deal that could be worth $78 million if he achieves all of his playing incentives. The source also said he will receive $41.7 million in guarantees. That tops the $41 million in guarantees Albert Haynesworth received from the Washington Redskins. The Lions intensified negotiations for Stafford over the past three days, knowing they could also reach a less expensive deal with Wake Forest linebacker Aaron Curry. After Curry's agents visited the Lions minicamp over the weekend, Lions president Tom Lewand focused on Stafford. The Stafford deal is the richest given to a draft choice in history, topping the five-year, $57.5 million contract the Dolphins gave to tackle Jake Long last season and the six-year, $72 million contract Matt Ryan received from the Atlanta Falcons. The language of the contract must still be agreed upon and approved by the management council. As the week began, the Lions were down to three choices -- Stafford, Curry and Baylor tackle Jason Smith, but the team was insistent on having a contract in place with the first-round pick before Saturday's draft. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4097641

Bears will win 10-12 games, bank on it! If that defense plays to the caliber it's capable of then 12 is going to be about the number, otherwise shave that by 1-2 games.

Hawks lost again tonight. Series is tied 2-2. :'( It looked like they were prime to win it after coming back from a 4-1 deficit to tie it, but Khabibulan gave them an easy rebound that gave them their 5th goal. The 6th came on an open netter in desperation time. Oh well, I'll take both teams winning on their home Ice since the Hawks have 2 more at home.

We need a section primarily for the cocky Chitown fans. We all know Prane would jizz if it happened See here http://www.urgentfury.com/uf_forum/index.php?topic=15549.0 ;D Great to see Rose win rookie of the year he definitely deserved it. If we can get a few more players we will be set. Dwayne Wade come on home baby!! ;D Prane I would cream myself repeatedly if Wade came to the Bulls!

Also just to throw this out there in the last calendar year, a look at what Chicago rookies have done: Patrick Kane wins Calder Trophy (Jonathan Toews was a finalist too). Geovanny Soto wins the NL Rookie of the Year Alexei Ramirez finishes 2nd in AL Rookie of the Year voting Derrick Rose wins NBA Rookie of the Year Chicago Sports baby! This is the only time you will ever see me give a Sox player props (Alexei Ramirez).

CHICAGO -- Derrick Rose, who led his hometown Chicago Bulls to the playoffs and restored hope to a franchise in disarray, is the NBA's Rookie of the Year. Two people familiar with the award confirmed to the Associated Press that Rose won. Both requested anonymity as the announcement was to be made later Wednesday. Rose's selection was hardly a surprise, after the No. 1 overall draft pick led all rookies with 6.3 assists per game and was second in scoring average at 16.8. Along the way, Rose established himself as the franchise's first true cornerstone since Michael Jordan. A point guard from Chicago's South Side, Rose used his strength, quickness and uncanny maturity to help turn around a team that went 33-49 last season. He was the Eastern Conference rookie of the month in November and December and again in March, helping the Bulls go 41-41 and reach the postseason for the fourth time in five years. In last Saturday's playoff opener against defending champion Boston, Rose matched Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's scoring record for a debuting rookie with 36 points and 11 assists in a 105-103 overtime victory. Rose added 10 points, seven assists and six rebounds in a Game 2 loss. "He can finish around the basket, and that's not easy. ... He's not small, but he's not a big guard," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. "He's good at that, and that's impressive for a guy that size. His quickness to the basket is impressive." The Chicago Tribune first reported that Rose had won the award. Rose excelled from the start and never really slowed down, although he was at times benched late in games. That stopped after general manager John Paxson chatted with coach Vinny Del Negro, but whether he was playing in the closing moments or not, Rose never complained publicly. "He plays both ends of the court, which is refreshing to see," Lakers star Kobe Bryant said. "A lot of young players don't play both ends. He works hard at it, defense as well." Indiana coach Jim O'Brien even compared him to MVP candidate LeBron James. "They're different positions, but LeBron James has the same thing -- it's hard to knock him off his driving lane," O'Brien said. "And I think he's improved his outside shot. And I think he knows the game." From the moment he returned to Chicago, Rose has fit with the Bulls. They won the draft lottery despite 1.7 percent odds and could have picked Michael Beasley, the high-scoring forward from Kansas State. Instead, they went with the guard who grew up a few miles from the United Center in the rough Englewood neighborhood. They saw a dynamic floor leader, a selfless player -- a winner. Rose led Simeon Career Academy to the state championship and Memphis to 38 wins and the NCAA title game in his lone season. Now, he's helping the Bulls turn things around after what seemed like a solid plan went awry. Two years ago, Chicago won 49 games and swept Miami before falling to Detroit in the second round of the playoffs. And then? Failed contract negotiations involving Luol Deng and Ben Gordon along with Bryant trade rumors set a bad tone last season, and coach Scott Skiles was fired in December. Interim coach Jim Boylan was gone at the end of the season, and the Bulls settled on Del Negro after high-profile courtships with Mike D'Antoni and Doug Collins. Along the way, they scored arguably their biggest victory in a decade when they won the draft lottery. With Rose running the show, the Bulls believe their cornerstone is in place for the next decade.

If you look at, winning game 1 and losing game 2 on a last second shot against the Champs in THEIR house....That's an awesome job imo. They know they can beat them, now with Chicago's support in our house they'll be extra motivated.
-
Wooo! Bulls up 61-58 at the half. They came out of the gate sloppy, but excellent play by the bench picked up the slack. Rose got in some early foul trouble, but getting through the 1st half with him not fouling again (had 2 in the 1st quarter) will pay dividends. Hinrich won't be much of a factor though, with 4 fouls already. Lindsey Hunter is stepping it up big time though and we're going to need him in the 2nd half. The Celtics better hope Rondo can return tonight. They were an entirely different team once Rondo was knocked out of the game.
-
Yeah Polaris, I hope Salmons rested up his groin and is 100%. With the Celtic's surely gameplanning heavily against Rose, Salmons and Gordon need to pick up some more of the workload. LET'S GO BULLS/HAWKS!
-
Hawks have started slow in game 1 and 2, but man did they make up for it. Heading to Calgary up 2-0 is very uplifting to the team and they'll come out firing on Monday. No socom for me Monday Night with the Bulls playing at 6 CST and Hawks at 8:30 CST. Btw Cubs game tonight is postponed until July 12th due to the rain. 2 days off for the Cubs with Monday being an off day should be nice to get everyone 100%. Soto needed the rest for his shoulder anyhow.

OMFG what a game. While there were some BS calls against the Bulls, we got away with a few too. WOW. This game had me on the edge of my seat all game. Words cannot even express how incredible of a game this was. Up and down all game. D.Rose had a career defining game with 36 points and 11 assists. Noah (17 boards) combined with Brad Miller to pull 29 boards! On a day where Salmons was hurting and Gordon didn't come on until late, the "Baby Bulls" really stepped it up. Winning game one in Boston's house is huge and without Garnett the Bulls CAN win this series! They showed that they are right there with the Celtics all game and outplayed them for most of this game. Wow I'm pumped. Bulls up 1-0, Hawks up 1-0. It's a great time to be a Chicago sports fan!

MAG looks intriguing. NCAA Football is a must, Madden is a rent first now (I returned last years after a week). I'll probably end up buying CoD MW2. The game I have been and still am looking forward to though is Rogue Warrior. I've been hearing and watching this game get pushed back since early Socom 3. It has always looked promising and was once labeled the "Socom Killer." Yeah that's when Socom 3 was verrrrrrrry early on LOL.- 64 replies
